I cycle in Zwift but after watching this video I might seriously look into buying a 2nd hand treadmill mill and give running a try. Thanks for the info!
in my opinion, running in zwift is not fun like cycling, part of this problem is the lack of smart treadmill to simulate the terrain but is a great solution especially in winter time when is snowing. Good Vid Tariq, you are improving your channel.
Israel, Congrats! You won the 4iiii heart rate monitor. Can you please send me an email to tali at smartbiketrainers.com with your shipping details before the end of Saturday 10/26. Thank you!
Hi, thanks for the Zwift rundown, great summary. Long time Zwift cycling user here, but now using Zwift running more (and is free for now!). I have all Garmin ANT+ stuff on my current set-up, but want to add more options in BL, so I hope I win, :). Thanks again!
Thanks for this video. I thought one needed a "smart" treadmill in order to connect with Zwift. Nice to know it's just the footpod that connects to Zwift and an old treadmill will work fine. Oh and I'm located in Canada so don't include me for the give away. Keep the content coming. You + Shane + DC Rain have the best cycle run tech content
I know this video Is 3 years old but I can't get my runpod to pair with zwift on my phone. Might get an apple tv to try it or something. I really want to try for running before spending money getting into zwift cycling
The Milestone Pod seems to be good at the speed you calibrate it at. I personally had better luck with Garmin + CABLE or the 4iiii monitor. I know they’ve done some improvements after Zwift bought them but don’t have a new one to retest. But if you don’t have either now, Stryd would be my choice.
Hello, did you try the Stryd powermeter? if yes what do you think about it? I'm interested in it mostly for the pace accuracy (not really the power which i don't think is that usefull and accurate for running), thanks :)
@@SmartBikeTrainers maybe they will start again later but they are out of stock for a couple of months now and only the full stryd is always getting in stock. And since the difference between the 2 is only software, it was a loss for them because everybody wanted this one instead of the other as it was half the price. So now they can sell the full stryd by keeping the other out of stock lol, how smart is that 😔
Depends on how accurate your treadmill is and footpod. Garmin and Stryd foodpods seem to have better accuracy across all paces than others when calibrated correctly.
Thanks for your fast reply. I was really happy for zwift to be free for running and made already 3 runs with zwift by using the NPE Runn device. So far a great device to turn an usual treadmill into a smart one.
I'm looking for ALL the how to do what. But the info is far from complete. Probably not the intention (but then why call it a 'guide'?) and of course, it's from 2018. I don't wanna spend a lot of money/want to use things I already have. Then there's a lot to find out. Like apps that will make Zwift listen to your Garmin.

Nice job introducing folks to running on Zwift! I started a few weeks ago and am really liking it - especially the workouts.
Glad you are enjoying it. Thanks for watching!

Never tried running on Zwift, but it looks quite interesting. How would it be like using it when running outside?
Good stuff, good stuff!
Abg kalau nyanyi lagu saleem sedap bang..sengau je bunyi hehe
Love all the great information. Thanks for a great giveaway. If I win, I have to buy a treadmill. Small house problems!
lol... that’s going to be a costly win. Good luck!
Why can’t we create run workouts inside the Zwift app like you can ride workouts?

Not much has changed as far as connected devices. Which run pod are you using?
Would the ant+ garmin footpod through a CABLE or Viiiiva give a little more accuracy with pace changes than the Milestone?

Yes, I primarily use the Stryd Live which is only the footpod without the powermeter. I like it a lot.
@@SmartBikeTrainers Thanks for your feedback yeah it looks like they are not producing the live version anymore, i might try the classic one.
I didn’t know they stopped producing them. I thought they were only out of stock 🤔

Does it tell you your incline in the game so u can adjust incline on the treadmill?
Zwift does display the incline on the top right of the screen. You can manually adjust the treadmill if you wish to match the incline.
@@SmartBikeTrainers Thanks

Is it still for free?
What about the 15 USD per month? And that only the first 25km are for free? So does it only cost for cycling?
Yes running is still free. The monthly subscription is only required for cycling
