Holding flakes rained from the sky in my hands I embrace them forever and ever I already knew The strength of smiling until the end.”
I’m wondering, is the language that the singer is speaking in Tolkien’s elven languages Sindarin or Quenya, or is it a different language? And if it is a different language, what is that language? Also, what does “bgm” mean?
@@pierrealex3680 I don't remember that. I did wonder, why all of a sudden he softened up towards Legolas. It's huge that this was realized and it speaks to how much love he has for his son to go seek out The Ranger....his future.
In a literary universe filled with tragic characters, Thranduil is one of my faves. He’s so well meaning but his character gets so twisted from grief that he can’t even see past it to how his attempts to protect his son and by extension his people are actually strangling them. He’s a good and righteous king in the end, he just needed the reminder.
I want a movie about Thranduil and Legolas. Thranduil is still hurting from his wife’s death. He is a good king. He is one of my favorite characters. I don’t understand why people hate on him so much.
It wasn't only the loss of his wife and gems. Thranduil life may be a big mystery, but because of PTSD that he sustained losing his father in the last alliance and saurons residing in the south of his former capital.
Good king? Tell me you haven't read any Tolkien without saying you've never read any Tolkien. He's one of, of not thee worst leaders in all of elven history... his lack of leadership is how Sauron came back to power in murkwood. He wouldn't even finish off the remaining orcs once he was beaten. He left that to galadriel.

Why is everyone so obsessed with thranduil? He's a weak, bad leader, who did nothing when it mattered. He was so selfish, he let Sauron take over his forest.
