- Mayor Dan Carter is a Canadian politician, who was formerly a homeless addict. He is currently the mayor of Oshawa, Ontario.
Carter campaigned on the theme that his background gave him special insight into managing the city's social and economic problems. He struggled with severe dyslexia as a child, leaving him functionally illiterate, and was sexually abused by a stranger at age 8. After his older brother Michael was killed in a motorcycle accident when Carter was 13, he fell into drug and alcohol addiction. He was homeless for most of his late teens and 20s but when his sister Maureen gave him an ultimatum at age 31 that it was time for him to either sober up or die, he entered rehab and began to rebuild his life.

"Could you relate to perfection?" WoW! What a question. Too often figures in the Bible are presented as saints and there is a religious aura on them that is not realistic. What a great thought to keep in mind. There is so much more to his testimony.

we do not have to live with addiction or depression or anxiety or anything bad like that because He has the Power to Heal us to Help us to set us Free He took all of our sins and all of the sicknesses and pain and bad things on the cross out of love for us 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
And we are saved by grace through faith not by our works
Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross He didn’t have to but He wanted to out of love for us and He came back to life three days later to make us right with Himself so we can have a relationship with Him and when we have a relationship with Him He helps us to do good because only He is Perfect only He is truly Good
John 15:5
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.”
