Amazing! There are a lot of talented people with channels on UA-cam doing covers of famous songs and they never miss a beat and their channels are very popular, but playing to a record and playing in a band are two very different things! Yoyoka being so young yet so seasoned and so gifted is a true virtuoso!
I love the drive of the rhythm section!
Probably the best Ken Okada Group song yet!
Certainly accessible which is a very good thing to me!
Yesss, another song that I look forward to enjoying with great pleasure.
Superb piece! Thanks guys.
Another AMAZING performance! Congratulations!
You take your girl for a first date, to the most happening, swanky club in town, this is the band that's playing. Everybody drinking wine, getting loose, and the music sparkles like frost on the trees!
Beautiful!
It's still incredible when you think about it, being only 14 years old and having such a wealth of experience in the studio, a catalog of songs that very few, if any, drummers have. Or will all this stop, in any case it's not me who's going to complain about this exceptional talent.
This stuff ain't easy folks. The kid's got a metronome in her head that's synced to an atomic clock. Amazing!
Yoyoka introduces Aphex Twin style drum machine beats into the tastiest jazz music I have ever heard. This was brilliant on all levels. Thank you ❤😊
The drum slayer gets stronger with every song.
A nice musical piece that sounds like it might find its' way onto the big screen, as part of a movie sound track.
Yoyo compliments this great band so well. Utterly professional and great to listen to. Proud of you Yoyo. Pat 🏴
I have a friend over right now and she asked, "Who's the awesome guy on drums?" I had to tell her it's a girl, she's still a kid though, so I'm sure she'll dress differently in a couple more years. Personally I could care less, I simply love her drumming.
What a talented band. I love your music.
このグループの音楽は全員の音がいい、曲としての完成度も録音とミキシングが演奏を活かしている。
I just love how expressive your drum solo is, while not ever really leaving the pocket. Most solos either go wild, or stick to the base rhythm. It is rare to be able to do both.
She is doing some interesting things with time-signatures and tempo, but still makes it flow so effortlessly. Largely improvised too, I’m sure.
Pure 🔥!!!
Another fantastic recording and mix! Really interesting intro, and flawless playing - drums and bass exceptionally good for me.
4:58 Bass and drums are locked down like the lid on a jar of molasses - our hero channeling a tiny bit of Senri with this floating groove. ❤🥁❤
Yup, chasing Senri down now. YOYOKA's collaborations with Ken are really unlocking her potential. Way to go but it's happening faster than ever. Thanks Ken.
Senri is not a drummer that Yoyoka wants to sound like? That would be a step back from her natural expression
@@magnushallin3640 yes, imho iyoyoka is another league
When she studied jazz at music school I would bet her teachers had no trouble with her syncopation. And now her body is able to materialise her musical intuitions that she clearly possessed from a young age.
Loving the DnB vibes! And that drum solo while simultaneously off on its own tangent remained on point throughput. 💯
Brilliant solo Yoyoka!
I could listen to this tune all night. Ken needs to fit in a bass solo and this song would be even greater! Yoyoka's snare and highhat work was superb! Creative solo as well ~ she is one amazing musician!
I swear I could hear the jazz club patrons applauding in the background at the end of her solo! She did a standing room only concert with this group back last yr I think it was in San Jose. IAndrew Rooney was right about this being composed. So restained and absolutely fitting with the gig! What do you want to bet she could deliver the same take after take? Same sound level, pace and feel. I hope she becomes a studio musician!
Nice tenor sax work by @bentorres1
お腹に、幸せ・重低音みたいなのと よよかの激正確チキチキ とが全て溶けあった
細胞が喜ぶメディシンbeat
Straight to Playlist-awesome in many ways
Wow! This is fantastic! Very tasty licks from everyone going on throughout the whole song. I can honestly say that the great drummer Buddy Rich would be grinning from ear to ear hearing you playing this unique song Yoyoka. You really just keep getting better and better as you age. The skies the limit with your playing ability potential. Cheers!
Nice!
This is 18 yr old single malt. Delicious. Every instrument superlative, driven by the beats of a fourteen year old
very coool!😎
That was Beautiful guys.
Just missing a bass solo 👍🏻👍🏻
That does not suck!! Love it.
❤🎸🔥🎸🔥🥁🔥🎹🔥🕺💃🤗🤗🤗
solamente wow
YOYOKA!! Please!!! Play DANDAN one more time for Akira Toriyama!
Great song. That solo was the best Yoyoka solo I've heard yet.
After her solo section I swear I could hear the jazz club patrons applause!
@@chrisegbertky I did!
@Rob-Yule yeah it was like after that solo in the context of this jazz I certainly expected that low key jazz club applause! 😮
Amazing! 😮
よよかのTシャツ 、カッコいい!!
DńB are so locked together that it sometimes feels like one instrument. When Yoyo changes from rim to snare - what a turbo feeling.
This solo is a masterpiece! Listen to it many times and you see the greatness - another step towards jazz and she brings the rich organic Yoyoka sound from the drums. That sets her apart from many jazz/fusion drummers that tune their kits for max technical ease/speed instead of what sounds the best for the music.
100% on the DnB combo - Ken and YOYOKA are a fantastic combo - always locked in all the songs. I hope her fabulous green YOYOKA snare in the background makes an appearance on upcoming tracks. You are spot on with the tuning, between YOYOKA and her dad Aki the drums are always correct for sound!
@@Rob-Yule I think the collaboration with Ken Okada group is the most interesting progression.
I am thinking that co-writing music with Ken and the others - and maybe find a vocalist that brings in a personal message (and pop) to the songs could be something worth exploring. But every step is always a risk of going in the wrong direction...
That rim to snare transition, she just adds a little something special there, doesn’t she?🙂
@@semprini77 I don't know what it is?
Some kind of displaced beat that resolves before you know it. Funky stuff
@@magnushallin3640Someone on another video mentioned her transitions, so I’ve been thinking about that lately. The way she plays into and out of her solo is another example of the level of craft she brings. Funky indeed!
もう見事にジャズ・フュージョンのドラミングですね!努力の賜物とはいえ並々ならぬ吸収力に驚かされます!
That opening guitar sound reminds me of 80's movie music. Was that the inspiration for the title? In any case, good stuff!
This is the stuff that should win Grammy’s-not the same old recycled sounds and formulas
All I could think is if the Jetsons and Timothy Leary got together and played jazz, this was awesome.
Skvělý, nádherný, super 👍🥁👏👏👏

Yoyoka must have 1,000,000 t-shirts by now. I don't think I've ever seen her in two videos wearing the same one.
lol -YOYOKA has very few clothes in general - she has zero interest in fashion. If you watch all her videos living in the US you can see about 10 T-Shirts.
From memory: Stick to your dreams, David Bowie, Final Fantasy, Scary Puppy, Helbotica (my son's design), YOYOKA's own designs, Kiss
Sorry but not a fan of fusion jazz
Don't be sorry. There is plenty of other music
