Interesting insight Richard. Starfish is a great album. Cover condition of what you bought looked great and lots of popular titles so hopefully they will turn over quickly. Cheers Dale
Thanks, Richard. Yes, I thought that was a big price for the sleeve and vinyl with a 'modest' grading. You are right about the turquoise lettering being the appeal - another copy of this album with the same sleeve sold at the auction house in January for £1,300 plus buyers premium - the vinyl was described in the catalogue as being EX. If I had been the buyer I would be scared to play it just in case of any accidents!
Fascinating this Richard. My mate reckons he could survive just selling Rumours, Tears for Fears & Parallel Lines. They certainly are the meat & two veg for record dealers!
Thanks Harris. Yep, those are among the regular sellers and for decent money too - you would think everyone in the World already has a copy of Rumours but it seems not to be the case. To make up the 5-a-day of veg for record dealers add Sgt Pepper's and A Night At The Opera - as DM would say "just can't get enough"!
How ironic that back in the day Rumours was probably the single most common record to be found at boot sales. It will be very interesting to see what happens to this market in a few years time. aybe LPs won't always be cool.... Don't forget - it's about the music not the format.

Hi Mike. Buying records at auctions can become very addictive! The plan is to get many of these to the next fair at the 1865 and others remaining out for sale at subsequent fairs.

I really enjoyed this Richard. I can't believe the Zep album that was only VG-/VG went for £850! I suppose the torquoise lettering is really in demand
