    The light. Oh my God, the light on the morning when the view wasn't up to par. Man, that WAS the view. Love your dogs. Love your relationship with them. Love watching your life in the real outside.

    Thank-you for allowing your viewers to "participate" in your get-a-ways. It's the beginning of "monsoon" season here on the westside. Your music befits the beauty of the scenery. I'm fed up with outdoor/hunting videos, etc. where the music is loud rock and roll that has no connection with the outdoors they are portraying--might as well be in a warehouse concert. Anyway, again Thank-you for the beauty, serenity, professional photography and a temporary escape for those of us who truly need it.

    It was this vid, that was a turning point for my wife, to see the side awning, easy, compact, and keep you out of the direct elements

    • @PrimalOutdoors

      The awning is very handy, its easy to setup and will give you space out of the rain quickly with out a lot of messing around with tarps.

    Beautiful spot. I envy you your wide open spaces. Here in Pennsylvania, we have mountain roads but you really can't drive off the road like that. What's more, there are people pretty much everywhere. You can think you're alone, but you're never really away from everything and everyone. Must be nice to be in a less populated area.

    Enjoyed your video. Thanks for continuing to post! I'm local ish and enjoy vicariously camping through your videos haha!
    Quick editor's tip to remove or drastically reduce the flickering light that occurs when there is a frame sync issue with the frequency of the light! This might do the trick for clips like the pan inside the tent on this video. Copy the problem clip and place it in a new video track above the original clip. Offset that clip by 1 frame right or left and adjust it's opacity until you get the most removal possible using this method. All that suffers is a little sharpness because if the staggered video. Much less noticeable than the flickering though for sure!

    • @PrimalOutdoors
      @PrimalOutdoors  7 років тому +1

      Kieth I am glad you like the videos, thank you for the tip. I have a LED light that is specifically for photography and video that I will be using for those shots from now on, it doesn't flicker. I wasn't paying close enough attention and did not realize the LED Camp light I was using was creating that flicker. I will keep your tip in the back of mind just in case something like this happens again though, could get me out of pickle.

    • @PrimalOutdoors
      @PrimalOutdoors  7 років тому +1

      I love standard transmissions, it has the 5.4 liter which to be honest is bit under powered for a 3/4 ton truck, but it gets me around. I don't have a video specifically on the dogs, but they are typically always with me.

    I have a 99 Ford F-250, 7.3 6 speed (looks just like yours). I plan to mount the Mt. Rainer to the bed as you do. My question is, what mounting system or mechanism do you have to mount to the tent? This is the last piece of the puzzle before I make the purchase.

      I would love to upgrade but I afraid my finances are not on par with what I would like to do. The old ford gets around pretty good though.

    I've often said that kids and dogs will tell you all you need to know about a person. Your dogs say you're a pretty decent human being.

    Be glad you aren't down here with 62 grassland/forest fires, Santa Ana high desert hot winds, and 60+ miles of smoke and lung congestion.
    Enjoy the scenery of the ancient past - all those E WA and OR lava fields, are the after-effects (now geologically admitted) to be an asteroid hit (1 mile deep). The 100+ intermittent lava flows of the Columbia River Basalt Group (CRBG) were from the outflowing magma shooting up, as early as the K-T boundary (Cretaceous era), before the time of the said asteroid dinosaur killer of the Yucatan peninsula. Makes Yellowstone look like a piker. And you are camping across a massive batholith (cold granite magma chamber) that causes the entire westerward-moving North American plate, the northward-moving WA/OR coastal lands (ancient Siletsia), and the eastward-moving Juan de Fuca oceanic plate to rotate (clockwise) around the area.

    There is the belief that this asteroid hit (and other associated hits Nevada to Idaho to Montana/Wyoming) are the geological hotspots that travelled up the Snake River Basin to be the eventual Yellowstone magma chambers.

    When are you going to bust out the Kodiak tent Jason?

    • @PrimalOutdoors
      @PrimalOutdoors  7 років тому

      I don't use the Kodiak tent unless I plan to spend multiple days in one location, great tent though, just not really conducive to my typical run and gun trips.
