Wow. I really appreciate your excitement about this rapture mess. Yes..exactly they explain this as 3 comings...ridiculous. Yes. And this issue of double predestination that you touched on. The calvinist church we attended taught this very thing teaching "at conception everyone is stamped for heaven or he'll and there is nothing anyone can do to change it." My teenage daughter at the time looked at me after this and after they taught that prayer has no power...she said "is this just fatalism?" It really seemed that at the very end of calvinism I was left with just that fatalism.
Oh wow, I wish I saw this while it was live! This will be good, love you Dr. Jeannie. I left a very “prophecy forward” church over a year ago, but once your eyes are opened, you can never shut them again.
I really appreciate this. It clearly says that when Jesus comes back, every eye will see him, and THEN the dead will arise, and right after we will be caught up in the air with the Lord. He doesn't sneak back and take a bunch of Christians out of the midst of suffering! Wouldn't that make a mockery of all who suffered before us, for Christ's sake? I read a comment from Corrie ten Boom, the Dutch woman who, along with her family, helped and hid Jews during WWII. She said (and I'm paraphrasing) that we have no right to expect to not suffer. The rapture gives Christians a pass on suffering during "the End Times". What makes those people so special that they shouldn't suffer? It sure goes hand-in-hand with the West's rich, entitled, and lack of perspective on what it costs to be a Christian.
Very much looking forward to watching this - but I have to get my work done first. I have many friends and family who are convinced about a rapture event.
Some pre trib positions would actually agree with you. Matthew is end of time, not trib. Luke is used as evidence of rapture not Matthew. Luke 21:36 is used for pre trib. 1 thes 5:3-9 can be used to back up Luke, both using the same escape word (g1628). I’m not saying I believe this, but this is closer to strawmannirg them than this video.

I read the entire Jewish War last summer. It was the most horrific thing I’ve ever read. God have mercy on those souls.
Just in time, thank you Dr. Jeannie, you were my first introduction to Orthodoxy back in 2021! Can’t wait to be baptized! ☀️

If you are time constrained, she mostly talks about the rapture during the second half.
@@AncientFaithMinistries Thank you!
