Damn I cant believe how many free updates the kemper has gotten over the years. Any other company wouldve charged.
I know it's incredible.
Many other companies add effects for free. In the past, Line 6 used to charge for certain add-ons but nowadays, I don't know of any Kemper competitor that charges for updates like this.
But this drive is definitely unique and a great addition. IMO, drives were the weakest area of Kempers and this does a great job of covering that deficiency
Coming from Helix, Kemper, although a good company, is behind when it comes to updates.
And how many companies come out with version II, 3, remix, redux, etc., which causes your machine to lose value, interest. One of the many reasons I am feel Kemper is in a universe beyond Fractal, Line 6 and all others. It helps that Kemper sounds better too!
@@geoffreymerrifield5666 alll very...subjective. glad you are happy with the product though. I love Kemper tone and feel but several things need to be addressed, namely 1) lack of DAW support 2) weird compression 3) MUCH MUCH MUCH NEEDED UI overhaul

Over the years, I’ve gotten less and less dependent upon other pedals with every firmware update

For those trying to load via usb stick:
-Put the presets into the "shared" folder on the usb.
-Insert usb stick to Kemper after it is fully on.
-Click the button on the front that says "USB" on the screen.
-Click "import"
-After import is complete, remove the stick and play
HW, first of all, nice job with this video. I have updated my Kember and I found the new Kemper Drive inside the Distortion category. In your video you were changing to new presets and I was not able to find them. When I try to select different presets I only see ---------- Kemper Drive ----------- line with no other drive effects inside this category. Is this right? Are you using any other custom Drive effects in your video?

You can download presets on the Kemper website, with auto update those presets are not automatically downloaded

Do you guys sell performances that aren’t song specific? I checked the website but only found song specific ones. I’m thinking like the all purpose ones Worship Tutorials does. Cuz I’d pay all the moneys for some tone junkies performances with multiple drive stages/leads/ambience. Especially with these new drives...oh boy 🙃.
Sounds great HW! Some people seem to worry about putting beta on their Kemper. What’s the issue?

I bought a Kemper in 2013 and it fully shits on everything else that's come out in the last 7 years I've tried and it's still getting better
sorry guys, but how can I get these new kemper drive? I have been reading the kemper homepage and I didn't find anything.
In my opinion Kemper is incredible, his free updates are really wonderful

Hi HW - I just did the update. The Kemper drive is showing up but no presets. Do you need to load them some other way?
you need to download firmware from the Kemper website and then drag the preset folder into Rig Manager, there you go! :-)

@@nicelliott209 as @Al Mik said you have to separately ALSO download the beta file from the Kemper site. In the download, you'll see the preset files. Go into Rig Manager to the presets folder and do an import (or drag them in). Not exactly obvious eh?

Do you use comp for the first chain? Can I know your settings?
I downloaded the new beta drives with usb stick, but didn't get the presets. So I set up Rig Manager, but when I check for updates, it says I'm up to date. (And I do have check for beta releases checked in Preferences). I don't have the "restore factory presets" in my System menu -- saw somewhere that they took this out of the System menu.

This fixes the last big thing that kept me from completely ditching analog pedals. Time to ditch the Jet Drive. I’m officially all in on Kemper!
For transparent tone, just set to between 3-5. HW sets to 5.3... awesome 😎 Just turn it up to 11 😆 HW rocks 🤘

It's a Beta OS update, you can find it on the downloads section of the website.
You’ll need to do a Kemper firmware/os update .. drives are only in beta software for now
If you are new with Kemper, I recomend you to wait for the oficial release (probably 1 week or so cause it seems very polished right now...) and avoid any headaches. Because now it's yet a Beta OS.

What i have heard is the kemper effects in general are sub par. If they fox their effects. Helix will out do them.

I used to have the Kemper stage but I had issues with the first one “the delay switch froze”🤦♂️😡🤦♂️ so I returned it and the sent me a new one and guest what? the same thing 🤦♂️😡 I returned it AGAIN and they sent me another one and AGAIN same issue! so I don’t want to buy an stage anymore cause they need to fix those things first! I bought the Kemper HEAD and remote so problem solve! No more issues! I have 2 years with it I love it! one of my students bought the stage and he had the same issue then me 🤦♂️ but my best friend has the stage for 2 years and he never had any issue 😂 so I don’t get it! 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
