    Anyone got one of these and considered removing the steering servo for a tighter turning circle?? I’m considering it and would love any feedback from anyone that’s had a go.
    As far as child safety, the emergency stop button on the parental remote should suffice..
    Maybe I will just get it done and do an update video… either way!

    Its true 24v unlike every other which is stepped down from 24 to 12. It has longer charge and stronger pull. instead of 12v and it has 3 forward choosable gears. It also has 2wd and fwd foam wheels, suspension Bluetooth mp3 player switch able lights, doors that open and leather seats.

      And after all this time… it’s still going… albeit with broken front suspension

    Is this the 2 x 12v version with 2 x 100w motors? I know they now do the 24v version too.

    • @mattralphwright
      @mattralphwright  7 місяців тому

      As far as I know this was the 24v… only has rear wheel drive and the parental steering gyro makes it turn like a battleship! - if you are not concerned about one with parental controls, the ATV will turn on a penny!

    I have a 3 year old and 2 year old,Do you think this would be too much for them? It looks fairly safe and I know you get a parental remote but the 3 year old is daring to say the least so I'd want a bit of safety.

    • @mattralphwright
      @mattralphwright  4 роки тому +1

      I think it would be a winner! - the parental remote does give you that bit of piece of mind (you only need to remember to use it) the way I see it, if they learn the basics of driving now, they are gonna take to it like a duck to water when they move up to the real thing! It’s an absolute joy to watch them driving around in it... I got the rain cover too as we live in the UK and it rains! (Get one... you won’t regret it)

      3 things to think about.. it’s rear wheel drive (not 4WD) and the turning circle is quite wide, and the steering wheel is only held on with a single fixing. If I’m being picky. But the kids absolutely love it!

    Hey mate how do you charge it ? Do you remove the battery to charge or just charge it with battery In place. Not really feesaboe for me to get it in my house to charge it otherwise.

      Plug goes in the car just under the seat.. so we have an outside socket we use.. not taken the battery out yet.. not until it dies for good

      Hi there.. had a similar thing happen with the opposite button on the steering wheel.. the elements had gotten to it and it would not cycle the preloaded music.. had to clean the contacts with some WD40 spray.. also worth checking and cleaning the connectors that can be found under the bonnet (hood) good luck

    Hey Matt.. Great video - thanks for sharing! Have you considered the Mercedes Unimog which is also 24v? In fact, the Unimog is a true 24v (I believe this Maxpow is a 2 x 12V). I'm thinking of buying the Unimog but like to know your thoughts and details on these things... like the turning circle - how big is it? And the battery life - how long does it last real life? Riiroo's website states 90 mins though. TQ!!!!

    • @mattralphwright
      @mattralphwright  3 роки тому

      Hi there, the turning circle is similar to a double decker bus.. more so when turning right.. it’s due to the steering servo ( we rarely use the parental remote for anything other than the emergency stop) thinking of modifying it and removing the servo.. then the turning circle will be more on point.. I can’t be sure regarding the battery but I thought it was a true 24v! - we use it regularly still even after all this time, and I only seem to charge it every few weeks.. the kids are yet to take it beyond the confines of our little compound, so it’s yet to have its legs properly stretched.. speed wise it’s great.. the pre loaded music is terrible.. but the kids love it.. imagine a bar on the costa del sol - filled with Japanese karaoke fans in the 90’s! However the Bluetooth feature and the radio make up for that. The only other model I would have gone with had money been no object - the Polaris RZR (the green one) it’s £900ish and hence was the reason I went for the one I did... saving up though.. it’s too wide to fit through a standard doorway, so don’t build it indoors unless you have a decent patio door situation... I have a 2 yo and an almost 6 yo and they still both fit side by side in there.. I think the older one will soon be needing the Polaris though.. I’m using that as an excuse! - I vote the MaxPow..purely from how well it has performed since we got it.

      @@mattralphwright Btw, does it have a battery indicator? Wouldn't want to run out of batt with this heavy thing at the park! Come to think of it, is it heavy to lug it home if really need to? And do we need some sort of permission or license to use it outside the house compound?

    • @mattralphwright
      @mattralphwright  6 місяців тому

      @wakkimode8688 that doesn’t sound great! - try some wd-40 on the electric contacts or if you haven’t had it long your warranty should cover any repairs 👍 - had mine ages now so I have replaced a few bits as the kids drive it like a destruction derby car!!

    Hi mate, great video!
    Do you know the width of the turning circle, trying to work out if our garden is big enough to full lock turn?

    • @mattralphwright
      @mattralphwright  3 роки тому

      It has the turning circle of a battleship!
      It’s because of the steering servo for the parental remote…
      I’m going to have that removed by someone with skills I do not (yet) posses!
      With that removed.. the remote will still function as an emergency stop, and forward/reverse..
      Then it will be doing doughnuts!
      that is going to be an issue with all these toys that have the steering servo…
      That was very long winded… our garden is quite big, and it will only just do a circle.
      I can’t remember which, but one of the locks is slightly better, so it really does need the servo removed and for the steering to be directly connected…
      On the plus side.. our 6yo has now learnt to do three point turns and parallel parking manurers!
      We have had it for roughly as long as this video has been up, and although it now looks like it was used in the Paris - Dakar Rally, they still love it and it hasn’t missed a beat..
      The shower cover doesn’t fit so well, so it has a parking space in the log store…
      It’s quite a lump of a thing
      (But their little faces… it’s worth it)

  • @mattralphwright
    @mattralphwright  4 роки тому +2

    It is only rear wheel drive... I feel I should mention this, as the video on the vendors site (RiiRoo) eludes to it being 4WD... but the kids haven’t noticed, so let’s keep it between us

      @mattralphwright  3 роки тому +1

      Hi there.. still going strong.. they both love it. The depths of winter was the only time it was out of action. One thing I will say though is that the shower cover is not good as the main way of storing the car (found that out the hard way) so as long as there is somewhere dry to store it.. I can’t recommend it enough. The turning circle isn’t great - bit of a boat.. so you do need a bit of space to get the most out of it
