The Barrett .50cal is a very imposing rifle and it can get a lot of one shot kills. But is it the best sniper rifle in MWR or is it outdone by the M40A3? This episode does a lot of comparisons and tries to help you understand which situations the Barrett excels at.

Driftor you should include how the snipers perform against juggernaut with or without stopping power.

he kinda did, but it boils down to this. no sp and jugg, youll never get a 1 hit kill, with sp and jugg, its as if you didnt have stopping power meaning the default killzones he showed get used in both those situations, and with sp, its the whole lot zone.

Slave Owner Stephen Thompson You can one shot kill jugg with barret or r700 if you hit upper torso (with stopping power). That's why I don't use jugg anymore, because snipers one shot me anyway.
If you can shoot semi-auto at 1200 rpm, may god save your girl.

Cod died pretty hard this year amongst Content Creators and the community in general. It's really a shame because I used to really enjoy this game but I haven't even considered playing Cod since my first experience with the Infinite Warfare Beta. I have played Cod games since Modern Warfare's initial release almost a decade ago and it's really sad to see the direction that the Franchise has gone since. Obviously not all juggernauts in certain industries, especially entertainment, can last forever, but it's sad to see something that I enjoyed for so many years going in such a disappointing direction :'(

Exactly the same here, I played tournaments and have been playing for years. Now I can barely think of playing COD... Haven't put IW since day 1. Played for an hour. COD is gone and it's a shame.

Yes. It is the second best juggernaut killer after the Dragunov

Favorit sniper by a mile. This with stopping power...sure the recoil made it so you prefferably had to use it as a bolt-action rifle, but this is the only gun in regular mode where, if you are actually aiming well, your target will drop down after one shot.

Barret is great for quickscoping as when you u scope the recoil is cancelled so you can pull of many quick blackscopes in rapid succession
Spamming the barrett is always fun because your view gets really tilted and so do the enemy players
The sound is enough for this to be my favourite

This game made it iconic. One thing people misunderstand is the accuracy though. It really isn't a precision rifle. It does fill a lot of unique roles but precision marksmanship isn't one of them.

DriftOr I think you forgot the mention that when you crouch or go prone with the Barrett, it significantly decreases recoil(especially in prone). When your prone, it has almost no recoil and you can spam it while maintaining most of your accuracy.
My favorite game with the Barrett 50 cal is MW3. Because I like the mechanic where if you go prone with it you'd have like zero recoil and sway. It wasn't very practical because MW3 didn't have very many areas to take advantage of it. But when you could it was fun like in the one doorway in Arkaden.
the recoil on extreme spam plateaus at a certain point where if you pull down left you can spam with literally no recoil.
Driftor, can you make one of your next in depth videos really quick and fast paced? I know it's a hassle to make a video purposely short, but I feel like it'll make the enjoyment of the video be more packed to together than spread out, like that 1200 rpm semi-automatic. Just my personal request.

I'm glad that silencers on snipers are still able to one shot to the upper chest. That's definitely one of the good things Black Ops 3 did right.

The recoil also scales a lot with stance, so if you are prone you can basically M21 people

You know there is one thing that I have not seen anyone talk about... will you get a one shot kill of you hit both legs?
realistically, the barret is not be able to fire faster than about 500 rounds per minute in real life due to the very long bolt. if you take look at jerry miculek's barret 50cal world record video for example you can see that he fires as soon as the bolt goes home, but it's still only about 500rpm.
But in cod it can be used as a more poweful but inacurate Desert Eagle, that is why I love it.

Once i was playing sabotage against my freinds in a 12 player match i usually rock with AK-47 bandolire -stopping power-steady aim at the end of match we were tied and i ran out of bullents so i panic picked the closest weapon to me because they were right infront of me and that weapon happend to be the barret 50 calliber and i spamed fire killed 2 of my freind from hip before they reached the bomb both using the RPD and after that the bomb exploded and we won the match

If you shoot someone say through the arm and into the chest does the gun apply damage twice, so like 70+70= 140 DMG?

The good game play bonus clips are nothing to do with the UA-cam algorithm favouring 10min plus vids?? Hmm hope I am wrong but seen so many UA-cams recently putting either blank or unrelated (or in this case just Uncommentated footage that ends right in the middle) just to hit the 10min mark, I can only speak for my self but I'd rather the content creators would just say " vid fell 2 mins short and it's better for me to hit 10mins so I'm popping in some junk footage as a filler cheers for understanding"
Am i the only one who just cant use this sniper? i hit feeds upon feeds with the m40, and almost all my shots hit. but with this for some reason i miss all my shots. like its not registering.

with 40 bullets, you don't have a maximum available of 40 kills. remember you can get collaterals
Recoil for the 50 cal is very predictable though, re-centers easily.

Strictly speaking the Barrett .50cal is not a true sniper rifle. It can certainly be used like one and it certainly has been, but it's more of an anti material rifle.
50 cal, 300 lapua, doesn't matter I don't want either of them going near my body at all unless I am the one pulling the trigger.
If black ops 3 can get away with putting a nail gun under the SMG category, I think we can let this slide
