I just discovered this band today and was listening to this song on Spotify. I paused it and came to listen to it on UA-cam for two reasons 1) To see how many other people had the same thought, and 2) To see if it sounds even more like 'Dancers' when sped up. Heh
This song, and enter are my favourite VOLA songs, inmazes is just amazing, i love how it just builds up throughout the song, then you get hit with a super strong outro 4:10 - 7:30
This song reminds me of enlightenment. Breaking free of those mental traps you designed yourself. Being in this world, seeing the purple water shining. It's a brilliant song.
It´s amazing how a lot of their songs punch you right in the gut in the first couple of minutes and then try to confort you near the end xD (Owls also does the same thing and it is just perfect!) Keep it up guys, love the band!
Vola, you've simply amazed me. I've been in a musical slump in the past year or so, where nothing is just giving me the same feeling anymore. I discovered your music and my passion has lit again, chills running down my spine through almost every song. Thank you for making amazing music.
same effect on me dudes and dudettes! No way back to genre music for a while, lol.. Those catchy, big, epic melodies getting me all the time, even now, when i can listen to their songs only in my head ... 4:16

The brilliance behind this track, let alone the whole band, is staggering. You guys have brought a style of progressive metal that is both melodic and original, and I love it. I can only hope you guys make it to the U.S. one day.
I heard lightning strike I saw bodies moving I took up the fight into valleys glooming I have caught them all Every glimpse of failure Why do you still call and question my behaviour? I heard lightning strike I saw bodies moving I will move if my strings would start approving She must find another home But she won't leave a man of silence Hear these voices hear the cheers of choices There are colors following your kind Don't you dare forget the purple water shining You've been dressed in disaster and turned every brick that your head will combine Now why are you still trapped in mazes you designed?
When I sat down and tried to count this thing to figure out what on earth was even going on it took awhile. I am blown away by how you guys can even pull this off. Brilliant. Amazing!!!!
Every time I come back to this tune I play it about 15 times in a row. It's so good. The lyrics, the melody, the solo introducing the awesome mellow rhythm section. They lullabye keys in the outro. The chill drum beats. The wall of sound. Kudos.
i cannot believe ive never heard this group before...i am moved to tears..its a such a marvelous confluence of djent, SW and other various prog metal influences
Looks like the secret recipe is take a cup of VOLA add a few spoons of Meshuggah, Tesseract & Pinkfloyd in the bowl Voila, you,ve got a very tasty cocktail. Inmazing song !!
I really feel like I missed the chance to listen to this for the past 4-5 years. My friend recommended it based on knowing I like Leprous and that is a damn good friend recommending a damn good band.
4:16 "Hear these voices, hear the cheers of choices There are colors following your kind Don't you dare forget the purple water shining You've been dressed in disaster and turned every brick that your head will combine Now why are you still trapped in mazes you designed?" (although I *tend to* hear: don't you dare forget the purple ALSO shining " and "turned every brick that your HAND will combine" - coz i learned it to sing by ear, and now its too late to disassociate
The idea of the first riff was somehow clearly borrowed from meshuggah , but that does not counter the fact that this is the most complete (in a sense of mood and music) song I have ever heard.
Omg.. I'm just blown away by each track! You guys are by far my new favorite. What an amazing job you guys do with your talents. Beautifully creative and unique. Truly one of a kind. VOLA!!!
Thank u guys for this beautiful music! Very impressive work. Got the album on bandcamp for free. Now i want a shirt for money:-) Hope to see u soon live in Hamburg or at the Euroblast in Cologne. Greets.
Not to argue or anything - I just discovered this band, but guys - familiarizing this band with other bands doesn't necessarily mean it's stolen work. It might actually be composed parallelly with the famous bands. My music is sometimes familiarized with bands I've never heard of, but very similar in the genre I end up being... It's just the ears inside guys :) Peace and metal
Went to their merch store and why can't they just put this album cover on like a t-shirt or hoodie because like that album cover is great and I'd buy that shirt
Hi John. We have it available as a sweatshirt here: www.volaband.com/merch The t-shirt version is sold out at the moment but we will make some more in the future:)
@@heavymetalrybakina that's the point of meshuggah lol. They are not interested in melody. They are interested in awesome rhythm cycles. The only time meshuggah has melody is when our lord and savior Fredrik thordendal takes an awesome guitar solo.
It's no use saying "sounds like [quotes famous band like meshuggah]" the only time I would write such a comment would be to promote an unknown artist/an artist from a different genre
"Now why are you still trapped in mazes you designed?". Brilliant.
Absolutely
Soyjack
K, a new band to get completely fucking obsessed with
Right behind ya
Dancers To a Discordian Vola? This is an obvious tribute to Meshuggah, with a Vola (beautiful) touch!
Wu Wei yes mate.
I thought the same
One of the best Prog metal song ever. Even Legendary bands couldn't make like this song. Amazing.
Djentpeche Mode?
Just found this two weeks ago. Can we just re-release this album now and spread it to every corner of the universe
4:16 love this part
The best 👌🏻
So uplifting
tingles everytime!
I think that's why we're all here
Dancer to a Disscordant System anyone?
This first riff tho
Of course!!!
yup

Literally came here for this comment
Just heard this song for the first time 5 minutes ago
This might be one of the best pieces of music I’ve ever heard.
3:08. That bass line is beautiful!
This song, and enter are my favourite VOLA songs, inmazes is just amazing, i love how it just builds up throughout the song, then you get hit with a super strong outro 4:10 - 7:30
5:10 onwards is the perfect outro
FUCKING AGREED. just amazing. blissful
It’s on the level of outros like Comforting Sounds by Mew
This song reminds me of enlightenment. Breaking free of those mental traps you designed yourself. Being in this world, seeing the purple water shining. It's a brilliant song.
Inmazing!!!!
Yeah the beginning is Meshuggah, for sure, but everything from 2:47 onwards is pure Devin Townsend
Wow even though I hear so many influences, not once did this feel unoriginal. Lovely work peeps @vola
It´s amazing how a lot of their songs punch you right in the gut in the first couple of minutes and then try to confort you near the end xD (Owls also does the same thing and it is just perfect!) Keep it up guys, love the band!
Owls is so so so so so so good

I feel the same way. I can't give back what they've given me.
I came back to jam this song and tried to like this comment, only to realize I was the one who made the comment

100% same. I found them at just the right time in my life. This music is life-saving and passion-reigniting.

Amen mate 💯🤘 the day is closer
They are currently on a US tour
that's cuz it's not metal at all. Pop music with a distortion.
Spotify needs to get this streaming in India too.
Agreed!
India needs to get VOLA to play live in India too
this album is probably going to be in my top ten list until I die.
I heard lightning strike
I saw bodies moving
I took up the fight into valleys glooming
I have caught them all
Every glimpse of failure
Why do you still call and question my behaviour?

Some Gentle Giant at the start....love how it grows to perfection...
can never get enough of this band. Big love!
it must be so revivifying and satisfying to be able to make music like this.
Yep this is definitely my favorite song.
best song off the album
The guitar solo at 2:21 gives me some "dogs" By pink Floyd vibes
Every time I come back to this tune I play it about 15 times in a row. It's so good. The lyrics, the melody, the solo introducing the awesome mellow rhythm section. They lullabye keys in the outro. The chill drum beats. The wall of sound. Kudos.

Peak VOLA. Not possible to get tired of this song

Sometimes you need a beautiful song. This is a beautiful piece of music to be sure.
Best song I heard on 2016. Started listening the album in January, still fu**ing here!
Inmazes amazes me. By far, best release of 2015.
COME TO BRAZIL!!!1
The idea of the first riff was somehow clearly borrowed from meshuggah , but that does not counter the fact that this is the most complete (in a sense of mood and music) song I have ever heard.
i thought it was borrowed from Erotic Cakes by guthrie govan
+UnderATallTree You're right it does , but I meant the whole concept of the first riff.
Definitely. The structure of the whole intro until the heavy riff stops is pretty much a copy of Meshuggah's "Dancers To A Discordant System"
All i can say is thankyou. Thankyou thankyou thankyou.
Omg.. I'm just blown away by each track! You guys are by far my new favorite. What an amazing job you guys do with your talents. Beautifully creative and unique. Truly one of a kind. VOLA!!!
i been looking for new music-- and this is what i need it.'
thanks VOLA--
i appreciate the response-- thanks VOLA
Nailed it. Beautiful art you guys have here. Not referring to the album cover, which is also awesome.
this is just unbelievable !! pure joy :-)
Best song I heard this year!
Happy 6 years to this amazing album. In my top 3 of favorite albums ever, it's hard to get enough of it. Super stoked for the new album too!
Make that 8 years
Just discovered this guys today. Not gonna lie, I'm pleasantly surprised by their output. Hope they continue making good music in the future.

October 2nd this year at Euroblast :-D
Fucking best shit I've heard. Come to India. Please.
Glorious.
Debut album? omg
I've had this and Owls on constant repeat for months now. Fucking love it!
I would love to have tabs for this track >.> this is a masterpiece!
Wasn't sure what to think at first, maybe a bit puzzled. By the end I rediscovered happiness.
Oh and I ordered the CD. Yay for support! XD
Wow,just woow
Oh my, that part starting at 2:20 reminds me of Soundgarden and Rush at the same time. This whole album needs more exposure!
I add VOLA to my favorite band list.

The begining is litterally Kmac2021 playing Meshuggah without learning it
Why was the album removed from iTunes US?
Can't wait. Thanks for sharing your music!
Djentle giants!
Meshuggah's brother
GHziikneon Except that Meshuggah sucks and has no melody.

good
Really interesting
I need this shit on wax man \m/
I ii IV I an OP chord progression tbh
First verse strongly reminds me of this: ua-cam.com/video/bX5ivuUm5ec/v-deo.html

None of you people put up lyrics....
Instrumentally, i love it. Vocals... meh
It is something that had to grow on me a bit, personally. I thoroughly enjoy everything now.
Sounds like they have taken Meshuggah, Animals As Leaders and Oceansize and ripped off all there best stuff :/.
Siman Meshuggah have best stuff?
BenFoe Pee No, Meshuggah don't have best stuff because it's all top-tier..
Isn’t that what music is? A collaboration of influences?
Sounds like these guys were listening to a lot of unicorns
