FNAF World was slept on. The way he made a game with characters from his earlier games was cool, and it was almost like a love child of everything he's made so far. I've always loved Pokemon games, so fnaf with the poke formula was PEAK for me.

I remember I was 6 when fnaf came out. I saw a UA-camr (not mark) play it and wanted to play it sooo bad, so I lied to my mam and said the game was free, when it was about £3 on the App Store. She found out but let me get it anyways haha. Ever since I’ve been following along. It’s crazy to think I’ve just finished my GCSEs this year and how much I’ve grown. Fnaf has always been something I’ve loved. From almost crapping my pants at my old friends house when I first played fnaf4 and being too scared to playing it again, to beating night 5 of fnaf 1 in my grandmas bathroom with my iPad sitting on the laundry basket while I waited for Freddy to jumpscare me. I can’t begin to thank Scott for making this game that’s impacted and helped me through times as much as it did. I can’t wait to see where the story goes with the new game and all
I remember being in 7th grade when this game came out, and we used to play around the cafeteria tables on our phones to see who could last the longest. 10 years feels unreal man
Scott making FNAF 4 due to poor reception to the FNAF 3 jumpscares is completely legit, he talked about it in the first Dawko interview years ago and a steam post.
Great video although you missed some stuff I don’t notice anything wrong with Fnaf 1 or 2 but Fnaf 3: - It does show Springtrap alive after the fire at Frights if you brighten the newspaper at the end Fnaf 4: - We have direct confirmation that Scott made it because the disappointment around Springtrap’s jumpscare he says this in Dawko’s first interview with Scott Sister Location: - we don’t have confirmation of Michael’s last name from Scott the only time he’s called an Afton is by his voice actor(PJ Haywood) who also played William Pizza Simulator: - before anything truly connected to Pizza Sim we got a render of Scrap Baby then dubbed “Freakshow Baby” not to mention the sudo cancellation of Fnaf 6 which is why we don’t really call it Fnaf 6 - The grave at the top of the hill is rarely ever thought to Crying Child is mostly thought to be Charlotte/Charlie Emily and his grave is debatable but the main theories are the unmark lump of dirt in midnight motorist or his body being in the Fnaf 4 box sometimes it’s both - Also the player character is heavily theorized to be Michael once again as well as in the rest of the series excluding Ucn Ultimate Custom Night: - It’s generally never been seen as non-canon and just as a little epilogue to the main series where you play as William Afton And I’m not even going to try with the rest of the video cause it’s just too expansive and far too complicated
Genuinely I took to this video as an inspiration for a video essay I’m working on for fnaf and there’s a whole bunch of stuff I am inspired from this video genuinely a 10/10 video. I expected to watch 5 mins of it as a quick idea. But here I am 3 hours later writing this. Thanks for this video.

God i remember watching an amnesia Markiplier video when i got his notification for fnaf, i immediately fell in love with the franchise. I remember being there when fnaf 2 was being teased, it's literally insane
Great video. I listened to it while doing dishes at 3:00 AM. I can’t give this a video a 10/10 because Random Encounters’ FNaF the Musical wasn’t talked about smh my head
FNaF is too important for me to just grow out of. Everything I lived through, FNaF was part of it. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts Scott, and we love FNaF. This was an amazing video, well done Kip!
Honestly, before the release of Scott caught on film, I was always expecting that Scott would be revealed to be a cardboard cutout that was going to fall over after the final interview or the last true entry of the series, and reveal to us that the real lore of the series was the friends we made along the way.
This series; even though I began to dislike it for a while, even though there are people in the community that are very bad, I just can’t bring myself to truly hate it. There is something so special about it. Scott went from an obscure game developer to one of the most famous. It’s truly inspiring, this entire franchise. This game, this damn game has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. Even though it’s had its rough patches, I love Five Nights at Freddy’s
i’ve only become a fan of fnaf recently with the release of the live action five nights at freddy’s movie! i’ve know fnaf existed for a while tho because my brother was a huge fan of it but i never understood the hype until i watched the movie and it opened a door into a whole new world for me. i wanted to badly to understand EVERYTHING, the lore and all! it was so fun having everything available all at once since i became a fan very late but i love this video because it gives me insight into what it was like being a fan of fnaf during the early days when people had to wait for each game to come out and come up with theories based on very little information. i wish i would’ve given fnaf a chance earlier on in my life but i’m here now for the 10th anniversary! fnaf is such a fun franchise to be apart of
i was 13 and heavily into lets plays. i spent hours watching amnesia and outlast, and when i saw this game i knew i would spend more hours watching let’s plays. its been ten years, i have a son now and he’s almost ready to start watching lets plays with me 😢 great video and felt like such a trip down memory lane
Turmed autoplay on, dozed off and woke up to ”You dont even realize that you are trapped, your lust for blood has driven you in endless cirlces, chasing the cries of children in some unseen chamber always seeming so near."
Fnaf world did have a pretty big impact on thing especially because it became the blueprint for Scott’s light hearted games going forward including Freddy in Space 2 and Fury’s Rage as well as other fnaf fangames would start including rpg minigames into their own including Popgoes and Glitched attractions
I feel like fnaf world has actually had a resurgance as the fnaf brand becomes more kid-ish, the fnaf world characters fit in more with those security breach type mentalities
I'm a sister location defender!! I had(have) the wonderful privilege of being JUST a viewer, and from that perspective, it is sooo cool! I'm super into the lore and this game was so fucking awesome when expanding the FNAF universe. The gameplay was such a refresher and showed that FNAF could break the box and continue to evolve beyond what we thought possible (pizza sim came after, and without SL, we'd never have FNAF 6!!!!)
genuinely cannot believe it has been 10 years since this game came out 😭 also there’s another song about fnaf pizza sim called nothing remains by andrew stein. lesser known song i think but it’s so fire 10/10 would recommend if you haven’t heard it already
Fantastic job with this video. This was an absolutely gorgeous and perfectly put together retrospective. As someone who's also been around since Mark's very first playthrough, the dedication and creativity of this fanbase astounds me. It really is like no other. If I was Scott, I would sincerely cry knowing so many people loved what i made so much. I really hope he sees this, and that you continue to make excellent content you're passionate about. Maybe one day, I'll make something even 1/20th as amazing as what's been built here. And I'd be so happy. Amazing work!!!
First things first, glitchtrap isnt peepaw reborn, I won't spoil who bc you said you haven't played sb/ruin but you'll need to figure it out and possibly look at outside sources for explainations (I'm sorry fnaf lore nerd is me tweaks sometimes) Ngl it being 10 years feels surreal and made me realize how much of my life has been with the band, and now its coming to dead by daylight (the best ending) i dont know what to look for anymore since this was sort of the end goal for me, 2 games I love becoming one, like some bad candy cadet parody story. Great video tho, you still are super underrated and I hope that changes for you soon man.
Gotta say man, the editing on the video is so well done! The memes, the music being shown on the down left corner. And just an interesting personality to go along with this script! Really well made content! Liked and subbed!

10 years have already passed and it feels like just yesterday that I discovered FNaF through some silly parody video back in 2014. I cant find the video anymore unfortunately but despite that, that video made me get curious into FNaF. I still remember how terrified I was of the first game yet was so intrigued by the lore. @@3DFellayeah gang you’re alone on that one…
@@3DFella i can understand if you mean the freeroam demo and shit but the story mode? each memory brings different mechanics and hell, the fanverse version that's coming out has really good voice acting, animations, visual effects you name it
security breach being more enjoyable than TJOC is.. id like to know how man cause that is a wild take
@@3DFellaThat is a disgusting take
@3DFella uh huh? What next. Five nights at candys is bad?
It’s crazy to me that FNaF is already a decade old. Absolutely insane.
Happy ten years of FNaF, everyone!
Ik fnaf world isn’t everyone’s thing but at least mention the lore and how it introduced SL perfectly. Or that there was a Halloween update with voice acting for the first time in fnaf, mini games that would spark memes, idk. Rest of video is beautiful tho no notes otherwise
Great vid but I won’t take any FNaF world slander
Same man, same
I was about to hit my screen with a Pizzawheel, then let out my frustration with a Bash Jam

Fan from 2014.
Thanks for the memories everyone, lets make some more. Heres to 10 years, im so proud of what this fanbase has acomplished.
it is so crazy to think i was 9 when this all started and here i am, 20 years old in 2 months, still watching this stuff. i feel so old. i remember waiting for markiplier and game theory to upload. coming home from school and immediately opening youtube to check. watching the videos with my siblings, coming up with our own theories. wow.
ITS HERE!!! Major applause to Kip for editing all this together, and happy ten years to fnaf!
Nah you perfectly described the hype around the FNaF 2 trailer in a school environment. I have fond memories of me and my old friends dissecting and theorizing about these teasers and trailers all the way up until FNaF UCN
1. Amazing video. Loved every second of it!
2. I will not tolerate any Sister Location disrespect 😤
I have dedicated much of my life to this series, whether by fan animation, marks videos, songs, theories and more.
I dont know where i would have been without fnaf being my creative outlet and game obsession throughout my childhood.
Scott changed my life.
No joke.
Passion can truly make something incredible.
You legit just skipped over fnaf world like it diddn't have the first fucking look at circus baby's voice.
😠
FUCK YOU FUCK YOU IT IS NOT A SHITTY SHOW 😠😠😠😠😠
FNAF World was slept on. The way he made a game with characters from his earlier games was cool, and it was almost like a love child of everything he's made so far. I've always loved Pokemon games, so fnaf with the poke formula was PEAK for me.
I never even realized, Markiplier's first fnaf video was uploaded on my 11th birthday. Neat.
For fnaf 3 we actually do see that springtrap prolly survived the fire in the news paper after night 5 which if brightened shows spring traps face.
Holy shit 😭 Been 10 damn years. I feel so old I remember Markiplier’s first FNAF video like it was yesterday
36:56
“Wait, FNaF 2 was released 6 days later-?”
(Camera flip transitions to the FNaF 2 segment)
This segway was perfect.
FNAF WORLD WAS GOATED OK 🔥🔥🔥
I agree with this! I remember seeing people play the game and was so jealous and only recently picked it up, but then I saw all the hate it got :(
He didn't mention it in the video, but don't forget that Scott canonically listens to Undertale music lol
Skipping fnaf world seems strange considering just how many Easter eggs and it even hinted at sister location
Your narration of the pre-fnaf era was the best one yet on youtube! Congrats!
Binged this in one sitting, great video
One problem I have is the random bits of being loud? It was kinda funny but for three hours having to have the remote on standby to crank thevolume down so it doesn't blast my speakers was really annoying.
But overall the video was superb!
@@ShyBug42 yeah sorry about that lol, if i had more time to go through the video i would have adjusted the volume to be more equivalent to each other but i didn’t, next time i’ll try to actually record all in one sitting and not at 2-5am deciding if i should be loud or not on the spot lmao
@@KipAshley I can’t imagine trying to record three hours worth of script in ONE SITTING good lord lol
Like I said it wasn’t that big of an issue, great video overall, and I look forward to the next because I’ve already binged all the others on your channel :>

I can’t wait to see where the story goes with the new game and all
FNaF world slander smh
For real though this is a very cool video and it's crazy it's been 10 years already.
Great video although you missed some stuff
I don’t notice anything wrong with Fnaf 1 or 2 but
Fnaf 3:
- It does show Springtrap alive after the fire at Frights if you brighten the newspaper at the end
Fnaf 4:
- We have direct confirmation that Scott made it because the disappointment around Springtrap’s jumpscare he says this in Dawko’s first interview with Scott
Sister Location:
- we don’t have confirmation of Michael’s last name from Scott the only time he’s called an Afton is by his voice actor(PJ Haywood) who also played William
Pizza Simulator:
- before anything truly connected to Pizza Sim we got a render of Scrap Baby then dubbed “Freakshow Baby” not to mention the sudo cancellation of Fnaf 6 which is why we don’t really call it Fnaf 6
- The grave at the top of the hill is rarely ever thought to Crying Child is mostly thought to be Charlotte/Charlie Emily and his grave is debatable but the main theories are the unmark lump of dirt in midnight motorist or his body being in the Fnaf 4 box sometimes it’s both
- Also the player character is heavily theorized to be Michael once again as well as in the rest of the series excluding Ucn
Ultimate Custom Night:
- It’s generally never been seen as non-canon and just as a little epilogue to the main series where you play as William Afton
And I’m not even going to try with the rest of the video cause it’s just too expansive and far too complicated
I don't know how, but this video made me feel nostalgic for things I never experienced.
Fnaf world is so overhated. I have so many fond memories of that game.
this is such a good video essay !! soooo entertaining, it feels like my childhood basically wrapped in a bow LOL
The night mares of his creation and his kids testing his work have carried so much plot in official and fan games
I will not stand for this fnaf world disrespect
give us the 10 hour retrospective on FNaF World to make up for your sins, before Scotts head in a jar comes to your house and makes neither side of your pillow comfy
God i remember watching an amnesia Markiplier video when i got his notification for fnaf, i immediately fell in love with the franchise. I remember being there when fnaf 2 was being teased, it's literally insane
2:20:30 There’s a ton of songs based on fnaf 6, surprised that’s the only one you could find. My personal favorite is “Nothing Remains”
The outro and the thank you scott section was so sweet. It genuinely made me tear up :)
WOW JUST WOW I love the editing in this!
keep up the good work!!!
Honestly, before the release of Scott caught on film, I was always expecting that Scott would be revealed to be a cardboard cutout that was going to fall over after the final interview or the last true entry of the series, and reveal to us that the real lore of the series was the friends we made along the way.
Fallen asleep to this video twice, genuinely cinema. Can't wait to see what you've got coming up next💜
If this is a ten year retrospective im gonna be here for a while
Fnaf world did have a pretty big impact on thing especially because it became the blueprint for Scott’s light hearted games going forward including Freddy in Space 2 and Fury’s Rage as well as other fnaf fangames would start including rpg minigames into their own including Popgoes and Glitched attractions
I feel like fnaf world has actually had a resurgance as the fnaf brand becomes more kid-ish, the fnaf world characters fit in more with those security breach type mentalities
im so mad, i expected the video to last 10 years
I'm a sister location defender!!
I love FNAF World :( the absolute slander you gave it
fnaf world doesn't deserve so much hate.
UCN was never seen as a non cannon spin off. It was always cannon just a little epilogue.
51:20 why did you have to bring Vincent into this conversation!?😭
I actually am a fan of FNaF World and its "Adventure" designs. I sometimes want to see newer characters in that style lol
I found this video just scrolling in yt and i cant believe i watched all the 3 hours, congrats mate, Great work!
Man I love fnaf and I love retrospectives, this video is awesome
First things first, glitchtrap isnt peepaw reborn, I won't spoil who bc you said you haven't played sb/ruin but you'll need to figure it out and possibly look at outside sources for explainations (I'm sorry fnaf lore nerd is me tweaks sometimes)
Ngl it being 10 years feels surreal and made me realize how much of my life has been with the band, and now its coming to dead by daylight (the best ending) i dont know what to look for anymore since this was sort of the end goal for me, 2 games I love becoming one, like some bad candy cadet parody story. Great video tho, you still are super underrated and I hope that changes for you soon man.
Gotta say man, the editing on the video is so well done! The memes, the music being shown on the down left corner. And just an interesting personality to go along with this script! Really well made content! Liked and subbed!
ive had this in my watch later for a week and am an owe of how detailed this is and realized i thought balloon boy was still real after all these years,, this is a love letter to the series and am gobsmacked at the effort this must have taken :o thank you for da video
bad opinion on sister location aside, very good video
I actually love the idea of springtrap's original fan name be salvage. Not because it fits his lore or anything but because of how broke down his body is😮
Thank you for providing a deep dive for me to listen to while Im at work 😼
hey i don’t even know if you’re going to see this comment, but i really appreciate what you did in this video, not a lot to say but i feel like you’re in the right path about your YT career. Thanks for caring about this franchise like many others one day did!
I love fnaf world :(
10 years have already passed and it feels like just yesterday that I discovered FNaF through some silly parody video back in 2014. I cant find the video anymore unfortunately but despite that, that video made me get curious into FNaF. I still remember how terrified I was of the first game yet was so intrigued by the lore.
Waiting for new theories
New songs
New teasers
New games
And the movie.
I owe a lot to FNaF and Scott. I wouldn't have pursued my love for art, programming, and creating video games. As of now I'm in college studying to make video games, and I hope someday I can seek the success Scott did.
This was an amazing video man. A deep and well detailed retrospective. I appreciate this video so much!
2:27:11 i wasn't ready for that reference.
Me either, i was LOSING it. Best way to handle it 😂
This was such a wonderful tribute. Very well researched, the throwbacks were insane. Hard to believe i aas there since day one. Absolutely bonkers
I thought the game was strange then, and I think it’s strange now. But I can’t deny having a lot of fun memories with this franchise from planning the games during recess with my friends to watching play throughs on UA-cam
really cool intro about the concept of time, happy to have spent it hearing history
Respect for summing salt music! I’m not a fan of fnaf, my nephew are. I just wanted to know about this franchise. And I really love your video, it’s such a hard work to do so long retrospective, I really appreciate it❤
Thank you for this. You’re doing good work here. Can’t wait for the next 10 year recap
this is the best Retrospective video I ever watched
this is actually crazy
Ag the end of the vid now, ur channel is so underrated I had to slide you a subscription
