Hello there I was wondering: When the tube breaksdown (dont know if its called tube in english, but the orange thing on the left) breaks down can I still use it as a MIDI keyboard? And where can I get new tubes? The manuall says you shouldn't change them by yourself but the internet doesn't tell me where I can get help for that. Greetings from Switzerland really need help 😂
The tube is only for the amp simulation section. If it breaks, you can leave the amp simulation turned off and it will not affect any other part of the sound. Be careful if you do decide to replace it yourself.
Hi, I'm going to try a SV1, but what makes me afraid is the little lamp. Did you experiences some interferences playing this instrument in an environment with neon lights or cellphones?
Also, it is specified that the lamp is of "indetermined lifespan"... I read it is impossible to replace it whitout opening the instrument, this is the other concern I have about this piano. But it sounds hawsomely great!
thank you for your reply, please tell me what type of powered speaker? do you have any ideas? im really thinking of getting the sv1, or kwai es8, i just love the character and sound of the sv 1
Retro Sun...love my SV1. I have a pair of Electro Voice ZLX 12P's powered speakers that sound awesome with the SV1. If you want to enjoy the great stereo patches on the SV1, a small stereo PA system is recommended. You can find one of these systems on line at Guitar Center, Sweetwater, Musician's Friend, etc. A cheap Behrenger system will be around $250. Peavey makes a nice little system too. Practically any stereo system is going to sound better than most stand alone, "Keyboard Amps." There are exceptions of course, but expect to pay a premium for some of these. A lot of what you get will depend on how you want to use the keyboard. If it is something you are going to play in your home for personal use, a small, low powered stereo PA system would be fine. There is a HUGE difference playing the SV1's stereo patches in a stereo set up as opposed to a mono powered speaker/keyboard amp. I have just purchase a Center Point Stereo Spacestation v.3. Should be here Wednesday. I've heard many great reviews on this amp/PA and can't wait to try it out. But it is pretty expensive and not a perfect fit for everyone. Check out some musicians forums (Korg, Roland, Keyboard Player, etc.) and query on "Amps.) Lots of recommendations out there. Just be prepared to be a little overwhelmed as there are many many opinions on what people like. Good luck. Cheers.
Stephen you're a legend thank you that advice much appreciated. I went with sv 1 and it's great so far, only thing is for now I'm playing through the Roland cm 30 cube and I'm not getting a good sound, I think I'll have to consider other options because I know this keyboard has a lot to offer
+ethan bedocs it is the introduction from "Just the Two of Us" by Grover Washington Jr. I then jammed on the chord progression from the verse for a while
@@Zevmadeit oh that sounds amazing. I am familiar with with playing chords and jamming just a bit but am really interested in learning techniques to feel free when it comes to jamming in a jazzy/ funky way nothing too serious either. for instance what you play right at the beginning
Broken Horn Studios are you using the one that came with the keyboard or the downloaded one in this video I think they ment. I was wondering the same cause if it's the one that came with it I love it
Broken Horn Studios Another question is does the trigger point (i.e. the point on the key's journey to its lowest point where it triggers the keyboard to play a sound) change when you select the organ tones?
This is by far the best demo of this board, can't wait till mine arrives
Thanks for the kind words! Congratulations on the new instrument!
amazing instrument
Looks and sounds good
Awesome audio and video man
Thanks!
Maravillosa máquina!
I love you mister, with your Broken Horn Studios.
Insane skills man!
Thank you!
Thanks!
3:19 is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
YOUR VOICE IS PERFECT FOR ASMR
Hello. It would be really helpful if you Could advise on a good amp system for the Korg SV1. Any suggestions? 🙏🏼
Same question, how did you record ? Mixing desk, soundcard?
algo bien!
What do you use as a speaker/amp?
Great video, just a question. How are you recording the keyboard sounds to get the crisp audio?
I got directly into an audio interface
Loving the piano sound with string/synth pad behind it. Is there a way to adjust the mix if I just wanted a pad to fill in the background?
I'm not sure about details but I know there is some deep editing capability
Broken Horn Media thanks
Yes you can - under the Function menu then you use one of the EQ knobs to adjust

whats the name of the song you play at 3:36 its so good lol
Darude sandstorm
Sounds like "just the two of us"
Get yours at B Street Music in San Mateo!
B Street Music & Recording I'll only buy one from you guys if you have an Sv-1 Black Reverse 88 key. I live in burlingame :P
what amp would you recommend with this board?
I usually go into a powered speaker since it has amp sim on board. I also prefer a cleaner sound

Its not really intended to be amped again. It has amp sim on it and puts out a line level signal. Best case is to go direct into a PA or into a DAW
What song is he playing starting at 3:16
+ethan bedocs it is the introduction from "Just the Two of Us" by Grover Washington Jr. I then jammed on the chord progression from the verse for a while
It's actually written by Bill Withers but Grover Washington did record a version
Se puede tocar cumbia
can anyone recommend some tutorials to learn this style of playing? thx!
Max G what are you trying to learn? I offer Skype lessons and maybe I can make a short tutorial for something you are curious about
@@Zevmadeit oh that sounds amazing. I am familiar with with playing chords and jamming just a bit but am really interested in learning techniques to feel free when it comes to jamming in a jazzy/ funky way nothing too serious either. for instance what you play right at the beginning
are you using sound pack 1 or 2?
I'm not sure sorry!
Broken Horn Studios are you using the one that came with the keyboard or the downloaded one in this video I think they ment. I was wondering the same cause if it's the one that came with it I love it
Gotcha I am using the included sound pack
Broken Horn Studios how's the piano holding up, I'm thinking of picking one up In a few weeks for my studio and for preforming eventually
Music Man it's been awesome very well built and sturdy
Nice playing. But your sound is clipping every 15 seconds or so.
just the two of us , 3.36 ,
Yup!
This destroys my Yamaha-DGX 650!
It is so unassuming looking too! Amazing possibilities though
i have dgx640. doesn't even stand close to sv1 ))))))))
What exactly do you think is in there? Did they actually put tines, reeds, etc. in there or is it an analog synth engine?
aycc-nbh72 it’s a weighted hammer keyboard with high quality recorded samples and an fx engine. The tube preamp makes it sound a bit more analog
Broken Horn Studios So how exactly do I turn on and off the tube amp or is it always on?
Hmm I'm not sure sorry. I think its always on.
Broken Horn Studios Another question is does the trigger point (i.e. the point on the key's journey to its lowest point where it triggers the keyboard to play a sound) change when you select the organ tones?
This demo rates the best sounds on a great keyboard that I would never use on a gig and no organ review wtf?
I did not think the organ was worth reviewing honestly. Its pretty bad. I also don't really understand your comment
Broken Horn Studios So would it be worth owning both this and a Roland VR-09?
Too much fry.
Pianos and synth sounds are awful... everything else sounds good.
Its strength is definitely the electric pianos! The acoustic piano can work in the right context but I agree that it is not amazing sounding
