I have always loved stormy, windy days. As long as one can be warm and cozy, it's the best. When camping, I always hope for at least one day of rain and wind.
Good Video Slim. I really like your positive attitude. I like to say, a bad day of camping/traveling, is better then a good day at work. Cheers from Michigan.
This video is the absolute best REALITY TV. And when you crawl into bed, cozy, warm & dry, in bad weather you'll sleep like a log. You've got it made inside your A-Liner compared to our forefathers as they traveled in their covered wagons. You can enjoy a hot meal, a piping hot cup of coffee, be warm & comfy while it is cold, wet, & windy OUTSIDE>
AZ: Not to rain on your parade but should the weather get bad enough...it is impossible to sleep. In some rigs...the rain noise alone will keep a person up. Carry ear plugs for sure.
@@geraldhenrickson7472 I have a Ford E250 Cargo Van that I've converted into an insulated camper. I have a hearing loss & know when rain is pounding on my van, but its muffled. You're right about ear plugs being needed some times.
I love the rain! I love seeing your laptop on the table, with the rain outside! I plan my camping trips around the rain, meaning I plan to camp in the rain! I love the sound of the rain, even monsoons, in my camper van, watching youtubes or netflix, playing guitar, writing stories, or drawing! For me there's nothing better, and being around my doggos! Cooking good meals, just enjoying my solitude. I like your aliner!
I always enjoy your videos! You do such a great job showing us nature and all it has to offer. I would spend my rainy days drawing or painting...art is my thing! Thanks for sharing!
Looks like great weather for a "senior nap". Nothing better to hunkering down under the covers when rain is pouring on the roof, and the wind is howling. Love it, and our 30' class A motorhome handles it well.
The amount of work that you had to go through and vast clips of videos for all types of weather and situation accumulated here shows how much dedication you have put in here. Thank you.
So the times indoirs you did some planning to have segments to weave into this great videio. Kudos to your freedom and ability to share with us. Thanks, Slim
Hi Slim, I have a 2015 ALiner Scout, Park Model. I truly appreciate your videos and all the creative ideas you have for the Aliner. I am an 83 year old woman and I have pulled my Aliner at least 10,000 miles in the Western States, alone, with zero problems. Hooking up, backing up, and setting up is no problem. I do ot boondock alone. Your videos are so well done and informative. Thank you! Murphy
Nice realistic video. It's a great feeling to go to sleep in a van or camper of almost any type and to know you're going to stay dry all night. When I'm falling asleep in my camper I think about the thousands of generations of people who slept outside and got wet when it rained. It's a comforting thought knowing I'll stay dry!
Some of my favourite lullaby music is the sound of rain on my Sprinter's tin roof. Snuggled up in bed, you can't beat it. Wind, however.... not so much. :) Great stuff, SPH. Much appreciated.
Fantastic! Sometimes the bad weather is the best part of a trip. I love the sound of rain on a tent, or these days on a pop up camper. Woke up to 4 inches of snow at Great Basin National Park in March and loved it. Thanks for sharing.
"Sometimes things get worse and not better"...God I love that quote..seems like that's always the way it is. Thanks for the video..very informative and entertaining. Not many of the UA-camrs have ever done a weather video and it's very important to be aware.
Catching up on all your videos and this is one of the best I've watched. The seamless transitions from scene to scene and from location to location is astounding! Your narration is at a calm pace and not rushed, you let us soak in your experiences with you. A truly extraordinary gift, thank you.
Thanks for your attention to the quality of your content, editing, audio, and message. One of the more watchable, and yet not too 'slick', channels out there.
Outstanding on so many levels...thank you for all the time and attention to the details you put into each video. Your words bring me to a place of quiet introspection...thanks, I needed the break from the noise! Journey mercies.
This one was top notch! I try to enjoy all that nature brings us. The extremes are just more exciting to me. The sounds of a storm in a secure shelter are amoung the most pleasant of experiences.
I've watched this bad weather clip many times, I like bad weather as my dad taught me when little especially rain was God's way of helping us farmers take care of our crops, just about had every winter of 3 feet of snow to get to school and play in ....... and your descriptions of how to fix or made things is so descriptive all a person has to do is get y our tools ready and you can replay your method and build right along with you....I have a Aliner Expedition, live alone and have sole repair n maintanence to do ...... October 6, 2024 in Maryland, USA: The dust storm in the desert was an unforgettable experience I had during my time in the Army, venturing into the Mojave Desert. For three intense days, we were engulfed in nonstop swirling sand at varying levels of intensity. It was a crash course in adapting to the elements, learning to function effectively while keeping our sleeves down to protect against the abrasive sand, which had a knack for rapidly drying out our skin. Constant vehicle maintenance was crucial to prevent sand buildup. The view of the earth and the heavens you shared in this video was awe-inspiring, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of nature. As you remind us, Slim, some of the best things in life are free! Safe travels to all adventurers out there.
Your lifestyle actually is one of the best seeing what you have posted. I also like your video diaries, how you write them, there is a bit of everything relating to the subject. I don't own an A-liner but I do enjoy the travels and places that you venture. Great job on the life, on the road. Thanks for the videos.
Great video! I enjoyed seeing you and your rig weather the various storms. Plus the fact that you smiled the whole way through. Thanks for the honesty, tips, and fun! Safe travels.
I've said it several times before, and I'll say it again: your videos inspire me sooo much! I have so many new ideas for my camper just from this video! Also, if you're really a star trek fan then I applaud your taste sir! Just imagine cosmic camping in a shuttlecraft
Excellent video! Hopefully you never get hit by a tornado or hurricane. Hurricanes can be avoided, but tornadoes, not so much. I am glad I subscribed to your channel! 👍👍👍 (I don't give three thumbs up very often.)
Exceptional photography! I enjoy your videos because they are very real and informative. I don’t know what you do for a living but your engineering skills can’t be beat. You have such enginuity when you create things like your stove or find fixes for things. You truly are a Macgyver!
Thanks for sharing this thoughtful post, Mr. Slim :) Amazing how even Mother Nature's bad weather days can also be as beautiful!!! Safe travels and Good weather days to you
Rain is truly the most life-giving-preserving element nature produces. Emerging from Australia's long, long drought conditions and horrific fire season has provided me a super timely reminder about water. I'm so glad your channel popped up on my radar as I'm looking to find a small Tab like RV my introverted self will feel totally comfortable in and travel my beautiful continent one day. You are such a lovely presenter.
Thank you for this amazingly beautiful video. I love all kinds of inclement weather! I love the sounds and smells of rain. Thunder is musi to my ears. Some may find it bothersome and even threatening but it makes me want to hunker down under a big fluffy comforter and enjoy the show! I used to have a CD of thunderstorm sounds. The speakers I had then were big with a woofer that could make thunder rattle pictures on the walls. It was awesome. Again, thanks for this!
Another excellent video! Being from the Southwestern U. S., I love a good rainstorm, even snow - but what worries me is the wind. I appreciate your advice about tires. You did a beautiful segue with music and scenery into appreciating the beauty of the earth after a storm. Many thanks for all the hard work you put into your videos.
You really do a great job making videos of your travels. Thanks so much for your attention to detail, your eye for beauty, and for sharing your journey.
Living in Canada, I've traveled through all sorts of ugly weather. It's no picnic, but it does make you respect mother nature's temper. Sometimes, the best thing to do is to simply watch in awe. Furthermore, without bad weather, some of your videos wouldn't be as adventurous as they are.
Great video montage . No fee notice on my side. In addition to all season tires, it is good for every person in the group to have at least a poncho and water proof shoes. Spent a week camping in wonderful weather and woke on pack up day to six inches of wet snow. By the time I was done packing up, I was super wet and didn't have any dry shoes. It was a miserable drive.
I love how you keep the camera safe inside and go outside for your shots. So tired of others using weather as an excuse not to do something. I learned in japan with 2 rainy seasons you either adapt to the weather or be bored out of your skull.
I like your videos . Yes nature has a way of just being its glorious self . The clouds , the snow on the mountains . The animals in their natural habitat . Camping can be great like you said if planned out well .
Your photographs are very beautiful...........stunningly so! I like extreme weather and no matter how bad it gets..............embrace it.....don't try to hide from it. It was really nice to see your attitude in bad weather and what you said at the end...."Rather than complain about the weather, marvel at nature's aerial ballet". I subscribed.
Thanks for the reminder, when looking at an rv to purchase, besides the normal checks, I sit down and picture a rain storm and how comfortable is the fit while sitting it out !
I really appreciate your in-depth presentations of life on the road. It will never be possible for me to ever get to experience such adventures; your videos actually give me a 'feel' to what you are experiencing. I know I would love the rain and a good book... I'd sleep like a baby out there.
You put a lot of thought, and time into this video and it shows. Beautifully done Sir. Here I am at my boring 9-5 desk job and I'm soooooo jealous of you and your travels. hopefully someday soon I'll be on that same dusty trail enjoying some travels.

I always loved cloudy, rainy days....
Something great when its cold , windy and rainy outside but you are warm and wrapped up inside with only the rain noise to keep you company . love it
I like your attitude. There is beauty everywhere.
I really appreciate the way you save up footage to create a video that covers a subject over a long period of time. Well done.

Beautiful. I am reminded of this Rumi quote:
"Sell your cleverness and buy bewilderment"

Love your offerings!

You really should have your own wildlife/nature tv show. Awesome video 👍
I can't be the only one who loves "bad weather". Is there a snow storm? Yep, just let me survive in it!
Likewise. 🤣👍
