  • You are listening "The Word Of God Transforms Us" sermon 4 of the series, “Changed By The Word.” In Psalm 1, there are two distinct paths: one leads to destruction, the other leads to life.
    In order to choose the right path, we need discernment that can only come by renewing our minds through the Word of God.

    I really love his style of old school, no nonsense preaching, sprinkled with Dad jokes.

    @29:52 Meditating in the word of God overcomes anxiety fears addictions, we can face Injustice and it won't destroy us because we're anchored In God's word. Praise the Lord for this truth! Glory to God!

    We get on the narrow path through Jesus Christ. We don't get on the narrow oath apart from Jesus Christ. Amen.
    I would say that we have to agree with Him. We have to relate with what He says in the Bible
    What He says about us in the Bible is that we are marred by our sinful condition, so much so, that we are totally incapable of saving ourselves. We need a strong Savior that can rescue us.
    This is not the popular thing to think about or to talk about nowadays, nor has it ever been. But more so, nowadays, with the current condition of America.
    But the truth is we are totally incapable of saving ourselves. We are inadequate totally, in and of ourselves. And unless we face Jesus with this truth He is telling us, we can not make true progress as individuals, and as the church. Because we're sinful and we need Jesus to save us!

    I've been supplementing my bible study and prayer times with one message from this series each day. While my fleshly pride keeps telling me "You knew all this stuff 45 years ago, as a teenager-it's just milk, " regardless, I was still led to listen-in, and I've been blessed every day by doing so. You see, no matter how spiritually mature we may think we are, we are a forgetful people, and besides, God's word grows in meaning along with us. It is quick (alive) and powerful. So I've been greatly humbled, blessed and strengthened by taking a break from studying under the big-headed scientific apologists, Christian philosophers and highly acclaimed theologians. Sometimes, you just have to get back to basics-the bible, prayer and meditating upon it. Well, I suppose Pastor Lutzer's name is up there too, but he's still faithfully presenting/expositing the word of God.

      Yes absolutely! Pastor Lutzer is one of the Gods greatest expositors of the Bible! Thanks to my wonderful Christian Parents who listened to Dr Lutzer’s radio show since the 1980s “Songs in the Night “

    Titus 2:13-14
    [13]Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
    [14]Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
    I would say the difference between the righteousness and the unrighteousness first of all is Jesus. He makes all the difference. He's the One who brings us to the Father so that God can create a new heart in us. After we are declared, righteousness we are called to be made righteous. This is all done by God.
    A believer that continually submits to God to be made righteous by Him. A believer who doesn't, will remain a babe in Christ.
    The difference therefore between a babe in Christ and a mature Christian is submission. Both are saved. But not both can respond in the correct way to the culture.
    I would say the difference or what really makesthe difference is setting aside time to spend in the word of God. Mature believers make time for God's word. They set goals. Their lives are more organized because the Bible is their life. It is their breathe. It is their sustenance.
    Babes in Christ make excuses.
