Matthew 7:13-14
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
@5:30 Here's a word of encouragement to those of you who may be living with the second best because of bad decisions that you've made. And you're feeling the consequences of those bad decisions. That was really Israel in the desert. Because they weren't supposed to wander around there. It's because of their Rebellion at Kadesh Barnea. That's why they rebelled. That's why they were there in the desert. And yet God was providing for them. He was feeding them. He was protecting them and caring for them.
God will do that for you no matter how badly you've messed up your life, if you turn to him right where you are now.
Praise the Lord!
Father, I turn to You right where I am now. I admit I have sinned against You. I have rebelled against You. And, today, I am feeling the consequences of my foolishness in my past. But I turn to You now. No one in this world can satisfy me like You. Only You can truly meet my deepest needs. You will not let me down. And I know, You will help me, Father. Please bind my heart to You Father? I love You Father. You are my true love. But, as the hymn says,
Prone to wander from the God I love. I feel it.
Help me, to stay close to You? Help me, Father. I know things are just going to get more difficult. But, please help me to not give up trusting in Jesus as my Savior? Please help me to honor You and put You first in my life, even when the temptation to do otherwise so strong? Provide for me a way to escape, when I am weak?
I know I have friends in this world here at Moody church. Thank You for them. I am not alone. Help us, Father, to never give up submitting completely to You, no matter how hard things get? Help us to turn to You with all of our hearts and love You? And to stay on the straight and narrow path no matter what? We love You, Father, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit. Praise the Lord! In Jesus' name. Amen.
