    I have a 2017 can am maverick xc 1000r. It’s basically the same thing as this one except it doesn’t have power steering. My main complaint with these machines is the engine compartment, these are mid engine machines. In order to access the engine you need to take the seats out, take out the annoying plastic rivets (which need a special tool) holding the interior paneling together and remove all of the paneling. And even then there is very limited space to work with. Sounds simple but believe me it is quite a process and a nightmare when you need to access the engine on the trail. I would hope that the next generation models are designed differently

    Paid cash brand new in march of 2013 and never have had the need for power steering, the power steering is not needed

    I bought this machine $17,500 plus tax CAN.
    first old change is $280
    next service $500 for oil and diffs.
    Warranty is based on the dealer.... then the French canadian BRP office with a $50 deductible after 3 months and there not interested in doing warranty work so your on your own bud.
    it's squeaks like crazy after a month or two
    drive belt does not hold up to the weight and power and the rim cleaners destroy the aluminum rims and the rear differential blows up in a year or two.
    look it up do your homework it's not worth it
