I use my live scope to simply find rocks, stumps or hidden brush piles. If I see fish, that is a plus. If I can see my bait, it is neat to be able to retrieve the bait in a manner that climbs over and around the brush pile without getting hung. It is neat to see a hidden bass appear and chase your bait.

Took your advice and switched to night mode and the blue color scheme. Works fantastic when there is a lot going on and I need to see fish movement. Also helps me pick up my bait when it is windy.
For me Amber works best when i am just out scanning.
Any time I am focused on the fish, it is back to night/blue.
    Thanks for all your help!!!

I think I realized this almost right off when I got my LS and decided not to drive myself crazy and like you said focus on the fish and its location and fish that area..you don't have to watch your bait every cast🎣

Wait a minute, are you telling me that I can own a livescope and not actually look at it at some point while I'm fishing it's still have a chance at catching a fish! LOL I love the emphasis that you put on it's a tool.

How is the best way to get the transducer pointed in the same direction as the trolling motor pointer. The transducer mount has the angle on it to bypass the trolling motor head. I know you can cast and adjust but is there another more scientist way? I had the bright idea of getting the trolling motor head level ( using a level ) then getting the transducer level with the head. After going to the lake and it was terrible i remembered the angle on the mount...suggestions?

What is the antenna on the head of your trolling motor with the white tip for?
Is that a Kraken TM or a Force it looks different than my Force TM

Hello brother! I have a question about how to correctly setup the transducer for Perspective Mode. I have the LVS32.
I bought a “more economic” 3-D Printed perspective mode mount from EBay.
When I set for perspective mode there is a noticeable bend because of the mount. Therefore the transducer point upwards and not horizontally straight.
There was an option for 0° mount but I’m not sure if that what I need. I have a Sniper Marine 3.0 model pole.
Does the transducer need to be horizontal pointing when in perspective mode?

Why would you buy a dual console? I had one and all the passenger console does is get in the way and eat up room

I bought it new 20 years ago and just rebought it. I like the dual console. I don’t fish in the floor anyway and makes my passengers ride better

You're definitely right about not getting caught up in watching your bait so much. I have only had ls for 6 months and can get distracted trying to see my bait when i should be fishing. The only trouble i have is in shallow water. I have a 8610xsv as soon as water depth goes under 20 feet i have to turn my gain down by a bunch. My screen gets cluttered bad and when i turn my gain down then my bait gets harder to see. Is this normal. Thanks for all the videos.

Also, the beam is very narrow . You would think for 1600 hundred you would get a wider view without not having to switch to perspective mode .

    • @The_Garmin_Guru
      @The_Garmin_Guru  4 місяці тому +2

A wider beam would make it almost impossible to display on the screen and very hard to dial in baits and fish position

@@The_Garmin_Guru I noticed when I was at Fork after about a five year absence, there was brush growing in places near shore where only hay grass was present years ago. And some big buck brush was gone. It was apparent when the water went down, some people cleared out brush while others let it grow. I was fishing the shoreline between a long stretch of boat houses.
