    Good comparison. Nomadic looks to be overpriced. Not worth the extra money for Peter’s signature. Don’t be a fanboy and keep the one that makes more, pgytech.

    Great review. I just ordered the nomadic because it’s $320 on B&H and because I like the laptop part and the fact you don’t have to unzip to use the top part. And now only $70 difference in price

    H Chris. Thanks for the comprehensive and quite interesting comparison between these two awesome camera backpacks! I actually went with the Nomatic 35L for mainly one reason...my local store had one, and it seemed to accommodate my NIkkor 180-600 just fine, with room to spare for 4 other lenses, 2 mirrorless bodies, plus myriad accessories. Regarding PGYTECH, though I do have their smaller 25L size, which is excellent, however, I needed the larger 35L size to accommodate the longer 180-600 lens and my particular configuration. Both superb bags for sure! Thanks again sir!

      Hey Steve! Like you said, I think they’re both fantastic bag. The PGYTECH OneMo2 is just a fantastic bag at an insane value though! Thanks for stopping by! Hope you’re enjoying your Nomatic bag!

    I love the OneMo one but I hate that they did not think on putting the option of the lugging pass to put it with my carry on....

    Great video. But I don't see the difference in them really for major differences. Just because it has Peter's name on it. It shouldn't be over 140 bucks more. Going with the PGY.

    Can’t believe I’m looking at “camera bags” again… as I bought a Nanuck case for my Sony FX3 and prime lenses and the BEVISGEAR Top Shelf for my A1 and two Zooms… each great for day trips for video OR photography but not for carrying BOTH camera bodies and all lenses for a longer trip on a plane’s overhead… Goodness knows the airlines complain about taking up a “whole bin” but seriously… I’m gonna risk $20K of equipment for a plane trip!?!

    • @chrisschackart
      @chrisschackart  9 днів тому +1

      I feel your pain lol. There isn’t a one size fits all solution. I have so many different cases and bags it’s ridiculous. 🤣 but they all are needed.

      (As I stare at my Lowepro backpack that got me all thru the Philippines and Indonesia in the 90s shooting chrome on my Nikon F5 and Hassleblad… sitting in the corner… too precious to sell but too outdated to be of use anymore… like a steam engine in the age of diesel or electric!)

      That’s a really cool story!
      Sometimes things hold a nostalgic value. Memories are priceless. That’s why we capture what we do. Material things can be that too.

    Loved the original design. 2 flaws. Side camera access on wrong side (partially mitigated with new top access), and need 2 holder to carry both H20 and Tripod. Perfect solution would be putting Molle on backside of bag. Well done PGYTECH, great review... and agree, best bang for your buck in Photocentric backpacks.

    The Zips on the PGYTECH seem to be a weak point cf. to the robust Gomatic system.

    Pgytwch all the way. Have the smaller one with my linhof twchnika 3 lenses light meter plus extras and ita the most comfortable bag I have had in 15 years. The material is also anti scratch, for when you lay it down on the ground. Nomatif is good but mostly marketing and a price tag to go with that funky logo

    I'll stick with my Nomadic. While I appreciate the price, the way that they designed that front expansion is dumb and a dealbreaker for me. The same with having no place for your laptop. If you put it inside your bag, it rubs against your computer. Nomadic also feels like it's built stronger and will last longer. Even my Peak Design, I've had it for a year and a half, use it every single day as an everyday backpack, and it still looks and feels brand new. Do they use waterproof material and zippers? Both my Peak Design and Nomadic are waterproof. And the Nomadic zipper's may be tighter because they are waterproof zippers.

    No no no no, sooo cmplicated. 300 zippers.... 100 straps.... small pockets everywhere.... That is not the way to go. I got lost even before putting any gear inside. Whatever happened to lowepro bags that are so simple, straight forward and get the job done?
