I came to Chico in 2009 and it’s cool to see the progression from the original store location to multiple tracks. The rc community in Chico is very lucky to have Amain in our backyard.
I live in Chico, the store is nice. The track is awesome, I've been there a bunch of times, it's huge and accommodates fueled cars/trucks as well as electric. Way to go AMain.
Thank you for the tour of your shop and facilities. I am returning back to my R/C monster trucks after about a twenty year break and I am amazed at all of the changes in the hobby. I remember when crawling was just getting started and crawler trucks were all home made by their owners as there were no R/C companies making dedicated crawlers. AMain Hobbies did not exist back in my day either. I have been getting my old trusty trucks back up and running again with the help of a few orders from AMain. It is really nice to have such a large selection of R/C parts and accessories so close to me. If I am ever in Chico, which is not too far from where I live, I'll definitely stop on by for a visit!
I haven't had a chance to git over to the outdoor tracks but I've had my 6x6 and my class one trail trucks on the crawler course inside the store. The staff at the store are really good people and always ready to help you plus you can watch them work on RCs and will answer questions about doing repairs as well. Thnx Bret for an updated video of the shop and tracks.
This track hosted the IFMAR World Champs in 2013. That’s Amazing! It’s like going to Spa-Francorchamps or Silverstone and driving on it yourself with the same types of car, as if you bought Lewis Hamilton’s Merc and drove it at Monza. Amazing!
I'm from Romania, but whenever i need something special for my rc's, with the help of a good friend who lives in USA, i always buy from you guys!!! love your company and vibe!! Keep moving forward, we are supporting you!!! Cheers!
awesome making the track and racer stand ADA compliant, you don’t see that too much at the tracks and it’s awesome that you guys considered that when building
Absolutely AMAZING!!! PLEASE open a store in Maryland!!!! Your shop, UA-cam, customer service, track, etc. are beyond awesome and are a model for others to follow. Truly professional and the way it should be. Great job as always and THANK YOU for continuing to do the videos!!!!
I don't understand how this video got 2 "dislikes" already. Someone please explain. The man is just giving you a tour of their facilities. Great video. 👍🏼
Wow, what a cool business to run/own. You can tell these people have worked their butts off and its paid off well for them. Awesome to see! Keep it up!
I used to live in paradise but my house burned down and i used to come to chico and always check out your shop and i bought a few trucks from you guys and i wish i still lived near your shop because it was hella cool and the customer service was amazing
WOWIE ,WOW , WOW WOW!! Thanks for the tour,. I will now be changing our vacation plans to visit NorCal somewhere near the Chico State area!? Thanks Amain for my new vacation spot!!!!
Im glad I have a hobby store near me, although I wish it was this big. It's pretty small, but thankfully they are still making money, and a lot of people come here, since it's one out 2 in the city. The other one is inside a warehouse were the inside clay track is. That's our only track, the old ones from the 90's and 2000's that would hold championships that my dad would go to, have since been abandoned. The track is actually the same company that made a smaller carpet track, with offroad type jumps, but they moved to a bigger warehouse with a bigger track and they then got stations to work on cars, and quite a few of em. Like 30-40 people worth of stations next to a track with a nice big drivers area. You can also marshall on the track while you wait for your car to charge or if there aren't any if you want whenever you want. Super nice guys, known them since i was a kid, and they were some of my dad's highschool rc buddies.
Wow what an amazing video you guys have a beautiful show room and racetrack so much to do there you can spend a whole day just in the shop I wish I lived close!
This is sick. I live in central Alaska and the only LHS here is very very small, run inside of a home garage that they converted into an RC store. I appreciate having a local store but there’s a lot left for want… I am taking it upon myself to build multiple RC tracks on my land, hoping I’ll be able to build a community here.
Dang, you really have to plan and anticipate what you might need. Shipping is still relatively quick? Nice to have a local shop though, even for just bs'ing about r/c. Do you guys get together and r/c? -Brett
OMG! I've a dream! Save enough to 1) cross the pond and get there for a couple of weeks,2) spend a day for an unforgetable " once in a lifetime" shopping experience . 3) Hit the tracks untill i get kicked out.
Wow I wish I lived close to Amain to race on the tracks and just stop into the retail store, but I'll keep ordering on-line from PGH PA....I like the vids you guys put out that help with R/C tech in many ways..👍👍
Excellent video, Amain is my place to go of choice, I always check there first and Bret, your videos go a long way towards me shopping with you guys. Love this, puts a bit of a name to a face. If I am ever out that way I will stop by one day. I live in ATL.
Im definitely coming to visit when i come travel the states next year! 1st stop will be cali!!! Figure i should see where the thousands of dollars ive spent went
Wish they had a place like this here in New Jersey. If I win the Powerball or Mega Millions I will build it so y’all can come. It will be just fantastic!
Probably already been said. All the empty stores everywhere from retail sales going online. Would be candidates for indoor R/C tracks. K-Marts were typically 35,000 square feet. Lots of room.
Go tell them and show them this video. Micro tracks are relatively inexpensive and easy to setup/tear down inside or outside. Plus, a great way to bring people together. Or yeah... just move to California. -Brett
Man, wish i had a place like that over here in north dallas, all ive got is some hobbytowns (no tracks) and Traxxas up north, but no tracks setup yet….
Wow, now that I've seen the full tour of the Amain shop, it's even more amazing! It must be an incredible experience, and there are multiple RC tracks nearby! Where are you guys located (you must've mentioned in a video, but I either don't remember or didn't watch that specific one...)? One think I would suggest is stocking some more "budget friendly" RCs (as well as all the spares of course), under ~$160? This way even more people can get experience and get hooked on the RC hobby!
Can attest that they have this. mostly 1/16 scale stuff or smaller, but RTR and quick. My 4 1/2 year old daughter has a Losi Mini-T and she's in love with it. The brushed version is $160. I got the brushless @ $200. Worth the extra $40 imho
I used to by from Amain Hobbies a long time ago, but after a huge problem with shipping abroad, I now buy only from asian shops. They at least take care of covering up part of the cost of the shipment to avoid customs issues.
@@AMain_Hobbies Also RC and model building can be a very important thing for people on the Autism Spectrum. Perhaps setting up a space away from the noise of the track would be a good idea.
I used to work for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in Austin, they had a company store where employees could by last generation chips and memory and they would take payments from your check, If i worked at Amain, i would be broke the day i started, but my xmaxx would be running people over in the parking lot.
Would be nice if this while set up was near me. I have a hobbytown 3 miles away. So there is that nice option. But they unfortunately don't offer a race track. Here on the south side of Chicago rc racing isn't very popular. It's a big bummer. But hey it's all good. At least I can bash and crawl
You guys have an absolutely stunning facility and showroom. People in that area should feel very lucky to have a hobby shop of that caliber to go to!
My towns hobby has no events & only enough room inside for showcase… really bad
Yup. The second of three Hobby Towns has closed in the Austin, Tx area.
I don’t even have any hobby shops within 2 hours of me. ;___; The hobbytown that was here closed probably 10-12 years ago. :(
This is my local shop, and I can attest that the track, the store, and especially the people are awesome. I don't feel lucky- I KNOW im lucky 😃😉
My city doesn’t even have a hobby store I can only order online :c
How I wish there were such great RC shops near me!! So much more enjoyable than buying online alone from his sofa... Amen Amain!
I came to Chico in 2009 and it’s cool to see the progression from the original store location to multiple tracks. The rc community in Chico is very lucky to have Amain in our backyard.

if you bash, take your cars to the equestrian center by 5 mile. the terrain is awesome
Really like the idea of the indoor tracks in the store

Agreed- so fun to go there. My 4 year old daughter loves Sunshine, the little Yorkie that's in there a bunch

What a cool layout that you guys have. Looks like a cool place to work!!!!
awesome making the track and racer stand ADA compliant, you don’t see that too much at the tracks and it’s awesome that you guys considered that when building
Thanks. It's pretty rare to see a drivers stand with a ramp.

Great video. 👍🏼
Just because they can!
Some people dislike literally everything.
Can't wait to get up there. Just purchased a crawler. Making it my own. So I now know where to go.
Wow, what a cool business to run/own. You can tell these people have worked their butts off and its paid off well for them. Awesome to see! Keep it up!
Another awesome video, Brett. I love the facility(s).

Ah man this Place looks class. by far above anything I've found so far over here in the UK! Great work

Another name for all that space is !!!!!!!!HEAVEN!!!!!
I wish there was a store in my area.looks awesome the track is sick to
CHICO....MY HOMETOWN!!
Wow, how lucky are your local customers! Awesome!
Sweet 😎👍now as I got to do is take a holiday to America 👍

Another great idea for a video just like the last one. So cool to come up with great content that's NOT a review of any kind. Keep it up, guys.
Great tour of the shop and tracks, always great content.
Wow what an amazing video you guys have a beautiful show room and racetrack so much to do there you can spend a whole day just in the shop I wish I lived close!
this property would be a great place to live. ill be in the basement, seting up the bunks, rc forever. he deserves another pay increase.
Awesome facility. I’ll be heading down in a couple of weeks for the RC Gold Cup!
I bet it was a bike shop before the RC retail store ! The Specialized sticker at 2:08 doesn't lie ;)
Oh man, I live a few hours South if you guys in Fresno. I’ve always wanted to check out your store, now I want to visit even more!
You guys are not messing about at amain. Keep up the great work.
Wow ! the Racetrack is setup so nice. and I would live at the retail store if I didn't live 2k miles away...😉. Great job Amain !!!!
Impressive, well done all of you.
Probably a good thing I don't live close to this shop! What an awesome place... reminds me of guitar center but R/C cars!! Very cool!!
It’s a good thing I don’t live anywhere near your awesome facility. I would be broke. What a cool place.
My cousin brother and i go to the Silver bowl track here in Henderson Las vegas. With our Tmaxx 3.3 and Revo 3.3 and Rustler 4x4 vxl.
I am planning to make the 2hr drive this weekend to check everything out finally!
Nice! The track will be closed for driving but the retail store is open. Enjoy the experience.

WOW WHAT A AMAZING LOOKING SHOP AND TRACK. LOVE IT♥️✌️
If I would be a millionaire, I would build such a great location in my home town Dusseldorf !!! Awesome race tracks!!
That track is a dream, I wish something like that was near
Wow never realized you guys had a track! Added to my bucket list 👍🏻
OMG! I've a dream! Save enough to 1) cross the pond and get there for a couple of weeks,2) spend a day for an unforgetable " once in a lifetime" shopping experience . 3) Hit the tracks untill i get kicked out.
That is amazing. We need Tracks & Hobby shops like this, in Australia 😁
Would love to see this shop in person someday, looks awesome!

Kevin used to be my neighbor in Livermore, CA. Cool dude!
I can’t believe how far the R/C hobby has come. That Fighting Falcon looks better than most static kits available. How cool is that? 👍
Im definitely coming to visit when i come travel the states next year! 1st stop will be cali!!!

Wow! Truly an amazing setup! I order all things rc from the website. I’m 4.5 hours away. One day I’ll make it over there to check it out in person
Awesome tour!
Had no idea ur place was that big WoW!!! Thanks for making this video I’m gonna have to make the 2 hr drive there soon!
Well, guess I’m moving to California. I can only wish my local hobby shop had micro tracks/full size.

That track is insane!
Here in Reno there is only one LHS only one,is small but it has what you need i wish something like this here in Nevada
It's one of my goals to visit the retail store one day.... I try to visit any hobby shop in a area I travel to, if time permits
Man, this place'd be a dream to visit.
Amazing store I'd love to walk around it.
It’s cool that you have display cars
This makes me wish I hadn’t moved out of Chico. Please come to Southern Oregon and make all of that here
