Hey Stanley great video as always! I like how you support companies that stand behind the products they make. I also appreciate how you put it how it is. Kept on doing what your doing!
Just bench racing the specs, the Case/NH TV620B has less horsepower but it looks like it lifts higher and more weight assuming all the metrics are measured the same way. The ASV seems more suited for forestry (or whatever else uses a lot of hydro attachment power)and the Case is more of a dirt work machine.
@@zb6618 Part of my bench racing assumptions. Giving the benefit of the doubt that the extra weight would translate to structural strength for the forces involved in digging. The benefit of the doubt going to the ASV is that it's probably a bit more nimble, possibly better floatation.

I ran a GMC 6 yarder back in Late 70s. It had the 4-71 Detroit Diesel. 5 speed with 2 speed rear axle. That Diesel had so much power. Just a month ago I rented a FORD F-600 6 yard Dump. It had the BIG V-10 GASSER. I understand why Ford put those GAS engines in. It was for the FLEET company to have a PROPANE fuel converter to meet emissions standards for fleets. BUT boy NO power coming up grades on hill driving. With a full load of 5/8- gravel. The GM product always had more POWER than the Ford's for that bitch in say 5 yard Dumps. My uncle had a F-600 that I pulled a 580-C Case backhoe with. The big GAS engine. It was a slow pull on any grade. That GMC just was a beast with that Detroit Diesel. Never any power loss with full load.

That’s a lot of power. I will say the 3 people I know that own and operate ASV regularly tend to have quite a few more issues compared to they’re cat and takeuchis. Few more varying brands in our little group but it’s just an example. That being said, I don’t own one personally so my opinion only matters so much. Fantastic video as always Stan!
Stan .. Ask them ASV test / product managers to bring that ASV to south Texas in the summer and let’s see how it runs in 100 degree weather clearing brush for 8-10 hour a day .
@@Dirtmonkey Yes Sir ! I am referring to the hydraulic system that is running the drum mulcher , the tracks and the boom arms . Case , John Deere , Kubota , Cat , etc … will have issues unless they run an extra external oil cooler . Even then the still have issues of over heating the hydraulic fluid . Truly need a system with a dedicated hydraulic system to utilize the drum mulcher 100% . Just my 2 cents
Track system is great had a Terex pt 110 f never popped a track off bought a takeuchi tl12r2 first day not even three hours track off about 45 minutes to put the damn think on.
Nice. Stoked to see the next one. I'd have to say that each western state could use a fleet of 50 of these machines on fuel reduction jobs. Run em on a 4x10 plus 3x12 76 hour week clearing out beetle kill and other fuel. Start em clearing / thinning 100 feet each side of every single mile of every forest road as fire breaks.
I just received mine today from fecon, it's an asv but says fecon on it with a fecon mulching head. So excited to use it soon. Also have a case 620 coming in a few weeks 2 of the biggest loaders on the market. Going to be fun to compare the both
@@Dirtmonkey absolutely, I need to get you down to SD to try them both out for yourself. I have alot of projects coming up that would be an amazing test for both machines. We run all types of heads on them from stump grinding heads to a few different mulchers
Update on this machine, ha we have owned it since may with only 240hrs on it so far it has been nothing but a headache. Issue after issues and more time in multiple shops. Case 620b has been an absolute work horse but definitely heavy and not as good floatation as the asv. Im deeply pissed at asv for the cost of this machine and testing they say they do. Maybe i got a lemon. But at 165k i expected better. Will never buy one again
New Holland has the biggest skid loader and ASV has the most power but you have to remember what application the manufacturers are engineering their loaders for. NH is a huge agriculture company so they are really focusing on agriculture application. The NH c362 has a vertical super boom which vertical booms will have more reach vs a radial boom as the ASV has. More reach makes it easier for farmers to possible use it to load silage into feed wagons. The ASV might have a 'floating' track but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the NH has better stability.
That is quite the heavy chunk of machinery. I saw the trailer & truck & thought that isnt your typical compact loader. I imagine that extra horsepower comes in handy with attachments like that. When he was hesitant to give a rough price i just chuckled. The track system seems way better than the others on market & way better than the park manager here who made the call to get a track kubota loader. As always Stan thanks for the look at another great specialty work machine even though they have tons of attachments for them these days.
Like a lot of us, I watch a lot of operator channels and have seen a whole lot of skid steers, and I have seen a whole lot of tracks come off. Andrew Camerata loses a track on his skid steers every third video. Chris Guins (Letsdig18) not so much so, but it does happen. When it happens you are going to need a mini excavator to make it easier to remount the track, and a tube of grease to retension it, so there's a cost as well as time factor. I could tell before they said anything that the ASV track is far less lightly to come off, so that's a major selling point for them.
Also put that machine in mud, then shovel out the tracks as clean as you can get them and let them sit over night in sun zero temps. The next day show it moving, or show that all the wheels are froze up and it won’t move. That’s the experience we have with them.
Yeah- that will happen with it. I learned when I was a kid I had to shovel out the tracks on all our equipment. We had a 1977 john deere 450 g track loader that I had to shovel out or it would freeze solid. After awhile its a non issue. You just know what to do. Besides keeping your tracks clean extends their life.
I live in Oklahoma and as much as I love the ASV skid steer they won’t service breakdowns unless you somehow get it on a trailer and haul it an hour and a half to the dealer.
I love learning the technical things of tools and equipment. I just started research on the house steam engines on trains and train brakes work just because I haven't had the nitty gritty on equipment from a lot of different channels as of late. and everyone loves to see a piece of equipment run and just how far it can really go because that is also important in a price tag. What are you really paying for. Go nuts in a piece of equipment get the equipment running footage and make a video on it death challenge to equipment style. But we need the cold hard facts about what the piece of equipment actually is. I hope everyone sees the value just as much as I do.
Well hello after my absence I see you have new toys to play with. Also I saw that there was no views which is awesome.I missed a few vids but I am back and ready to view all, lol.
Hey Stan it's Rocco from Connecticut wow that's some machine but so is the price I like when you asked and he said take the horse power and add the zeros so 85 hp would be 85,000 they are pricey but there must be money to be made. As always enjoy your videos there appreciated thanks your friend Rocco from Connecticut
I've got one on the way! I used to have a cat and it was really good but my last one had alot of problems. I have a kubota rented right now with a fecon head and it is absolutely gutless with a head compared to the cat. So excited to try this machine out!
Partner videos for this could be on how to do maintenance on a mulcher (fires, teeth, more freq maint intervals) and how to move the big pooch (targeted to those with pickups), until a guy can keep it busy and it pays to buy a class A tow rig.... One option is to take only larger jobs and have a 3rd party move it site to site, in some areas that is the best long-term option, too, if you have jobs close together and medium to large size jobs, which I am assuming, given the 130 HP. Long-term, a CDL is easy to get and the single axle truck is the way to go. A pickup with 20k capability is not as safe as air brakes and the over built strength of a real truck, and the pickup costs a LOT more (up front and maintenance and insurance (if not for hire)).
It looks like the tyres on the road wheels can be replaced, this could be a selling point, especially if this could be done with the track/ wheels in place. That way you could replace the torn up ones as required to maximise track life and, more important, when a track does eventuially need replacing it can be fitted to new tyres to maximise service life.
Stan, they used to have the RT 120 Forestry, which was my dream skid steer. It has now been replaced. This is MASSIVE lol holy cow. Are you adding this to your fleet?! Also, I LOVE this Gravely!!

Few more varying brands in our little group but it’s just an example. That being said, I don’t own one personally so my opinion only matters so much. Fantastic video as always Stan!
so far after 3 years of running one of these I haven't had a single issue
I grew up in Northern MN where ASV started.
They have been bought and sold few times but still put out a good product.
I love both running equipment and the info
Cool beans 😁
Is that the legendary Nick Schrapp?? There’s no better guy to test a piece of equipment!!
Stan .. Ask them ASV test / product managers to bring that ASV to south Texas in the summer and let’s see how it runs in 100 degree weather clearing brush for 8-10 hour a day .
You think it will overheat?
@@Dirtmonkey Yes Sir ! I am referring to the hydraulic system that is running the drum mulcher , the tracks and the boom arms .
Case , John Deere , Kubota , Cat , etc … will have issues unless they run an extra external oil cooler . Even then the still have issues of over heating the hydraulic fluid . Truly need a system with a dedicated hydraulic system to utilize the drum mulcher 100% . Just my 2 cents
very cool, very powerful and well designed machine. love all your machine vids. God bless my friend, enjoy, Mr. Animal.
Thank you kindly
12:11 the two outside not hearing you but watching you make grate motions and pointing at a bunch of things😂
Track system is great had a Terex pt 110 f never popped a track off bought a takeuchi tl12r2 first day not even three hours track off about 45 minutes to put the damn think on.
"takeuchi tl12r2 first day not even three hours track of'. Has that track been an ongoing problem or was that a one off fluke?
You nailed it. Keep them wildfires in check before they break out.
I just received mine today from fecon, it's an asv but says fecon on it with a fecon mulching head. So excited to use it soon. Also have a case 620 coming in a few weeks 2 of the biggest loaders on the market. Going to be fun to compare the both
Sounds like a blast! You should keep me updated on how it goes 😁
Thats bold! No derailment guarantee
I also took you up on watching that other channel that's pretty cool too able to look around wherever 😀 😎 that's pretty awesome
Glad ya like it!
We appreciate your info. Super nice machine. I can't wait for the next video about it!
Fantastic video clip 👌 looking in from Ireland 🇮🇪
Wow 130+hp is a ton for a skid loader... thats pretty impressive no doubt.
Fo sho!
Well said 🙌 Gotta push it to truly see the bang for your buck right 👌
Well hello after my absence I see you have new toys to play with. Also I saw that there was no views which is awesome.I missed a few vids but I am back and ready to view all, lol.
Welcome back! Glad your here again. Yep- had a few new toys to play with. Hope you enjoy tonights video.
Agreed, a bit pricey but it makes sense why 👊 Glad you enjoy the videos!
I've got one on the way! I used to have a cat and it was really good but my last one had alot of problems. I have a kubota rented right now with a fecon head and it is absolutely gutless with a head compared to the cat. So excited to try this machine out!
Fun!! Go nuts 🤪
Wicked kool and she never even skipped a beat
So nice 🤗
right-never hesitated for a moment.
Love this, wish I could start a business and buy this. Great video thanks, you are doing a great job.
Go for it 👊
love that truck and trailer combo!!!
You and me both!
Way to cool, keep up these videos. I really like to see the forestry stuff
A pickup with 20k capability is not as safe as air brakes and the over built strength of a real truck, and the pickup costs a LOT more (up front and maintenance and insurance (if not for hire)).
lol if only they made a actual pickup that big.
Can't wait to see an New Holland c362 in the wild. Now that's mega sized.
This video is awesome my man!!! Keep up the great work and keep up the great videos!!!
Hey thanks Tyrae. Great to see you here again bud!
Very cool. Relay like ASV skid's.
Me to! I love the ASV's
The advantage of the big New Holland is for those who need them are steel tracks
That's a great looking machine. I would like to see the 135 do some dirt work too. I think Zach meant case TV 620B.
Could be the C362 from New Holland also
I love yanmar engines, everyone always waxes poetic about Cummins but yanmar is where it’s at.
Yeah- they can be changed out anytime you need
American power plant Cummins loving it. ⚒️🪖⛑️💪🤘👊🙏🇺🇸
Take some notes Bobcat we need some muscle 💪🤔 Ha nice game camera😉
I own a lot of bobcats now and have owned at least 15 or more in the past- they are great machines- but the ASV is our choice over bobcat
@@Dirtmonkey I love my A770s but they took them away😢 Great vid I’m all about HP the more the better💪
Asv sounds like a good Machine.
Agreed
Stan, they used to have the RT 120 Forestry, which was my dream skid steer. It has now been replaced. This is MASSIVE lol holy cow. Are you adding this to your fleet?! Also, I LOVE this Gravely!!
I can't afford this one
@@Dirtmonkey start savin🤣
That's a beast love it you have made me a asv consumer
Ayyy 👊
I run that 75 and love that machine. Its our been our favorite
Great video Stan good information
Thanks man hope it helps
Nice one Stan. 👍👍🏴🏴
Wow that seems to be the best skid steer out there. We are in the market for a mini excavator. I have no idea which one. We’ve only looked at Kubota & Yanmar so far
Stan,
Very interested in this unit.
The Fecon 150 has more power but the tracks on the Yanmar and at the 7-minute mark where they would pay the dealer to come out and re-track the unit is impressive to me.
I really love the track on the Yanmar.
Stan, you always seem to stumble upon. The coolest equipment, how is your week going my friend, i have a lawn job this weekend,, it will be a. Thrill, this year is gonna be awsome, i truly can’t wait to get outside, i had my first official cut last Friday, on my moms birthday, it was a good day. Anyways, stan, you have a blessed night,a nd see ya on Friday, god bless and go get em, your opal and friend. Alexander costa
Sounds fun! I feel ya on that too, so excited to be outside in the sun soon!! Keep up the awesome work buddy 😁👍
Bobcat has clear view sides, I ordered t66 and s76 with . Expensive option
How much does that add to the price tag?
2000.00
Looking forward to part two,
So far so good.
Shweet 🙏
Stan that is one awesome machine has some good power
It was pretty cool to have a chance to run it.😃👊👍
That's what your face feels like with one of those electric shavers! 😂
😂👍
oh man i wanted to see the epic lessons to learn..... that head at 50g is a monster
more to come👊
