    I have one question about the final load chart, since the line fell in between 100 and 110 feet i thought that you were supposed to go with the smaller number, so shouldn't have been 100?? Thank you

    • @wmyar3500
      @wmyar3500 Рік тому +1

      My understanding on using load charts is that if your numbers fall between two chart numbers you use the one that creates more restriction. Since this exercise is finding out how much to deduct for the wire rope the larger number is used because there is more wire rope being used. If the rope being used is 2 pounds per foot the difference is 20 pounds on your load calculation between 100 and 110 feet of tip height. Same goes for boom telescoping, if you are between chart values, use the larger (longer) value.

    Hello. I am taking my cco test this coming week. Do you have any videos on ground pressure and things that associate with that? Thanks for your time.

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  2 роки тому

      This may be too late to help you. I do not have any videos on ground pressure. It is an important concept that can show up on exam. Know which entities are responsible for ground conditions and methods for mitigating poor ground conditions--e.g. cribbing. You will probably will not need to calculate ground pressure. But if you do the formula is P=F/A where F is the weight of the crane and load and A is the contact are of the crane (where the crane contacts the supporting surface). These values are often expressed in PSA (pounds per square inch) so contact area should be in inches. But if you are asked For PSF the area would be in feet.

    Could something like this also be used for the telescopic range of forklift like the JCB and the Magni line?

    • @LoadChartLab
      @LoadChartLab  2 роки тому +1

      Hello Gary. Sorry for the late reply. Telescopic boom forklifts should have a chart that is very similar to a range diagram. The chart will be from the manufacturer for specific makes/models of machines. It will show the lift capacity at different angles, heights and reach distance. Check out this video ua-cam.com/video/3ANQ3HCCWpo/v-deo.html

    If the radius is 10 meters but in crane diagram 10 meters is not there only 9m and 12m radius but in the crane load chart 10 meters radius is there and also the 12m,what crane capacity i will follow,for the 10m or for the 12m radius,but the question is 10m radius,tnx for the answer

    In between values:
    Boom Angle- lowest
    Tip to Ground- highest
    Boom Length- longest
    Radius- longest
    IS THIS CORRECT??

      Boom angle you always go down to the next lowest--it's a manufacturer thing. Do this it will help get you the right answer on the test--LOL
