X Japan are kind of OGs of Japanese rock. Nemophila have covered another of their songs too. Tamu is the only drummer I know who can play so explosively and keep smiling. Great to see people enjoying what they do.
Song title Kurenai, band X-Japan. Massive band and along with Loudness the 1st Japanese metal bands to get worldwide attention. Nemophila’s Loudness cover, Crazy Doctor is another great cover.
I can only highly recommend the original version of 'Kurenai' in its 'Last Live' version. A masterpiece to which the ladies have paid the highest possible respect with this cover imo. ❤️🔥🤘🏻
I must admit when I first started listening to Mayu’s scream I was concerned for the longevity of her vocal chords. After 3 years of watching reactions from vocal coaches, I’ve come to learn their is a proper technique that does no harm and the untrained scream that does. Mayu has mastered the technique, or ability which is easily demonstrated by her ability to flawlessly transition to clean vocals repeatedly and without any loss of the cleans. Mayu is an absolute master, just as Minstrel Blood has stated. ❤️🌸
If you scream with correct technique it won't damage your voice. You should do Akatsuki by Babymetal. It's an homage to Kurenai and X-Japan. It sounds more or less the same as this song. Kurenai - crimson. Akatsuki - crimson moon.
This is an anthem in Japan by what many consider Japan's greatest Rock/Metal band - X Japan. Gene Simmons, Kiss bassist, said if they had been a Western band they would one of the biggest in the world. Yoshiki, drummer and Toshi, vocals wrote the song "Kurenai". Unless you are a professional vocal coach, please don't give advice in regard to professional singers. Mayu knows what she's doing. Some of the best Rock/Metal you will ever hear are the 80's & 90's Japanese bands. Some are still around. X Japan - Show Ya - Luna Sea - Loudness to start. As to "Stairway to Heaven" have you ever listened to the lyrics?? It gibberish, even Plant admitted it.
Right, so only professional should be concern about another person well being noted. With stairway to heaven, was about the beginning of the song and nothing to with lyrics. Just the music sound and how both songs start of slow. X Japan is a group I will check out. Thank you for filling in the details about them and your comments 🙂
Legendary song from a legendary band. Tamu even does the Yoshiki collapse at the end.
Yup, nice slow start in idle then.. BAM! Light speed! As always, they just show how they are among the best bands out there today.
