Tamu, the drummer, didn't necessarily collapse due to exhaustion, but was mimicking Yoshiki, X Japan's drummer and composer. He's a living legend in Japan. He'd collapse on stage due to severe asthma.
In this cover series, they will often do things to reflect the original. Like in "Separate Ways" video, they do the thing with invisible instruments like the Journey video.
One of my favorite bands and this is a great cover! These ladies are the best at covers. They usually try and do something to honor the original artists like makeup or outfits, dance moves etc. Their originals are awesome. They are among the best musicians out there tdoday.
Nemophila and Lovebites are metal Goddesses.. many great songs from these elite artists. Thank you for reacting to both..Hopefully you'll check into lots more
The Japanese metal scene is small but jam packed with amazing bands. The all female bands are absolutely some of the most skilled musicians you will find... and they are bringing an interesting dynamic that male dominant bands are not. Really just opens things up and makes the scene really diverse and creative I think.
Nemophila is a genus of beautiful blue flowers native to North America. They are a beloved "exotic" annual in Japan. In the language of flowers, Baby Blue Eyes ( Nemophila) mean "success in abundance". A beautiful name for these beautiful Ladies of Metal. Glad you are enjoying them🤘❤️🔥👍. 🥰🥰Hugs from a Canadian Dear🤩🌹🦭🇨🇦
Can't go wrong with any Nemophila live tune - cover or original. As I know it they formed just when Covid hit and so they holed up together and recorded a lot of covers - Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Kiss, Linkin Park, T-Rex, Motley Cru - all excellent. For originals from them I would check out the youtube versions of OIRAN and Blooming.
Nemophila - "baby blue eyes" flower, "Rurikarakusa" in Japanese; grows in N-America and is appreciated in Japan (see "Hitachi Seaside Park"). The band was formed in 2019, originally as a "session" brought together by... Mayu - the vocalist (ex- Lipstick band); Haraguchi-san - bass, backing vocals, was Mayu's friend and colleague from Music College (ex - Holderlins band); Tamu Murata - drums, backing vocals, one the most respected session musician in Japan (countless bands), with also her own original carrier; she's also the wife of Akira Yamaoka, musician/composer, known especially for his videogames OSTs, in particular for "Silent Hill"; Saki (ex - "Mary's Blood" band for a decade, and others), she's a "young sacred monster" in J-metal) guitar, backing vocals, and... Hazuki (Li-sa-X / KOIAI bands) - guitar, backing vocals; both, Saki and Hazuki have a lot of experience. Nemophila made an amazing fandom impression during the pandemic, thru UA-cam clips...so far about 40 Western/Japanese awesomely bonkers covers, and over 30 original freakishly good songs (singles, EPs, 2 albums - "Revive" and "Seize The Faith"). Discography, alphabetical order: 01. ADABANA - 徒花 - "Fruitless/seedless flower" 02. Another Story (ballad) 03. A Ray Of Light 04. Back into the wild 05. Blooming 06. Breaking Out 07. Change the World 08. Creature 09. DISSENSION 10. ENTEN - 炎天 - "Scorching/blazing heat/sun" 11. Fighter 12. GAME OVER (ballad) 13. Hōzuki - 鬼灯 - "Demon Light" - "Winter cherry" / "Japanese lantern" plant 14. HYPNOSIS 15. Life (ballad - their "official anthem") 16. MONSTERS 17. Night Flight 18. now I here (ballad) 19. OIRAN - "Courtesan" (their first original song, in february 2020) 20. RAITEI - 雷霆 - "Thunder" 21. REVIVE 22. RISE 23. Rock’n’Roll Is? (an homage to famous rock bands/artists; the lyrics/melody and style of play are Easter Eggs) 24. Rollin’Rollin’ 25. Seize the Faith 26. Soaring ~to be continued~(instrumental) 27. SORAI - "Autumn wind" (was supposed to be the original name for the band) 28. STYLE 29. - 群青 30. Waiting for you 31. ZEN ________ - Another Story... written during the pandemic, with the purpose of lifting the spirit; not part of any official release or performed in any concert... but - according to Saki - "it's part of 'Yell to Art, Tokyo Project' (started by Tokyo Metropolitan Government to offer place for artists to upload their work...since all lives, concerts, events and exhibitions had been suspended, all venues had been closed"; was posted on UA-cam, on this channel: アートにエールを!【音楽 1ch】; although is no longer there, there are some reactions to it, just search "NEMOPHILA / AnotherStory". - Breaking Out, Creature, Ultramarine... not part of any official release, but they are performed sometimes in the concerts. - Blooming...released only on the official Nemophila UA-cam channel, it is performed sometimes in the concerts. ___________________________
I must admit my ignorance and apologize to Japan. I knew of X-Japan as a teenager and many of their songs, but I wasn’t into J-Metal as I am today. In other words, I loved many of the songs, but never followed the bands. Along comes Nemophila on a simple cover for them and I’m thinking, heck yes I know this song. Nemophila is one of the greatest current Metal bands on the planet, but perhaps more importantly they span generations of great music. Their original music is simply unmatched in the genre, but their covers are almost always better than the historic bands they are covering. Love these ladies. ❤️🌸
Kurenai is THE Rock/Metal anthem in Japan To say X Japan was huge in Japan is a major understatement. Sold-Out the TokyoDome 18X, capacity 50,000. The best set of X Japan MV's are the last live ones. Mayu, vocals does not speak English, Saki red guitar does and teaches Mayu the lyrics.
Mirar Fairy y Kurenai ambas canciones con Nemophila (Kurenai sólo Saki y Hazuki, guitarristas) Gambling, Shooting Star, JAM, Emotion, Look at Me, Genkai Lovers, One Way Heart, Battle Express, Crazy Love, Crazy Night
Japan is the leader in Rock today. Not England. Not America. Mostly since schools teach music as a viable career path. So the musicians have a higher skill level, especially the women.
Not sure why you picked this old cover of a very old song as your introduction to one one the most exciting new bands around. When NEMOPHILA made this video, they were just starting out. They have since release two full albums of original material. Pick any of the available videos to check out next, as they are all better than this. Perhaps start with their latest, RISE.

They sound really good.
That drummer sounds fantastic!
Its an awesome cover for sure. X-Japan would be happy with that. The ladies are simply awesome.

The next recommended song is “Rise”. Please check it out. I think you can understand their sound.

Uno de los mejores covers de Nemophila y segundo favorito mio ! Tremenda cantante! Están imparables las chicas ❤
Their singer's english pronunciation improved since then ✌
"Neh-moe-fill-uh"
You should really check out their original material, and also check out Band-Maid.
Leave it to the Brit to add extra letters to Nemophila😂
Just having a go at ya. Awesome reaction, guys. I just subscribed🤘🏻
Colour ... travelling ... paediatric ... aeroplane ... yoghurt ... We would never do such a thing ^-^
@@DecadeOceanApart-Music It's worse than I thought. I was only aware of two of those spellings😂😂😂
Yes Word and Google are constantly correcting Jon's spelling while he complains that whatever word it is, is indeed spelt correctly.@@andymacminn1983
