The 2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100 has been officially announced, marking a significant evolution in Kawasaki's adventure touring lineup. Building upon the foundation of its predecessor, the Versys 1000, the new model introduces a series of enhancements aimed at delivering a more powerful and refined riding experience.
At the heart of the Versys 1100 is an updated 1,099cc inline-four engine. Kawasaki achieved this increase in displacement by extending the stroke by 3 mm, resulting in improved torque and overall performance. The engine's compression ratio has been elevated to 11.8:1 from the previous 10.3:1, contributing to a more responsive throttle feel. These modifications, combined with updated ECU settings, enhance torque delivery between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm, with a peak torque of 82.6 lb-ft at 7,600 rpm-an increase of 7 lb-ft over the prior model.
In terms of design, the Versys 1100 maintains the aesthetic of the previous model, with subtle updates such as new graphics and a discreet "1100" emblem on the radiator shrouds. This approach suggests that the displacement increase primarily serves to meet Euro5+ emission standards while retaining the model's established visual identity.
