Always enjoy watching your videos. I love how you are both such opposites in so many ways but accept the other and love them for who they are. Your work is gorgeous. I am much more like LeAnn - I enjoy the process BUT Jeannie motivates me to just finish and get things completed! Here's to my snow day here in Nebraska and some stitching. I love the flowers too but I am going to be like Jeannie and appreciate a day to stitch!
Hi ladies! Just finished this episode. I would love to see more of your quilts. Great idea! Also, Leanne- have you heard of the “Ten Sisters Easy piecing Grids.” It would work out perfectly to knock out your postage stamp quilt. Love your FT. Heidi from Lodi, CA.
How could you NOT want a heated steering wheel in frozen Minnesota?!! OMG! In California I have heated seats which I use in our winters to keep my spinal arthritis at bay! love watching:listening to you two ❤
Wow…so many finishes! I have joined in the challenge with Michelle McGraw to aim for 52 ornaments this year…you are well on the way with all of the gorgeous ornaments. I used to run out of 310 until I bought a cone that has 50 yards or so…my lns has many colours like this, they can be ordered from DMC. The framed quilted miniatures are truly amazing. Thank you ladies.
So fun to catch up with you both and see your beautiful work! Congratulations on the ring quilt top finish - it's absolutely gorgeous! You both always inspire me with each episode. I hope you had a great time at Welcome Stitchery during their Super Bowl sale :) Happy stitching, ladies!
Happy Belated Birthday LeAnn. LeAnn I don't want anymore snow either and I want flowers too! Jeannie love all of you FFO's. Your quilts are gorgeous ladies!
I don't know what to say, but I always enjoy spending time with you ladies. All of you Minnesotans on Flosstube make me want to move to rural MN to stitch with you all. 😊
Jeannie and LeAnn…thanks for a wonderful video podcast…love your joy in what you do…smalls, samplers, and quilts…all beautifully done…wishing you two the best and happy stitching and of course…happy shopping❤❤
Another great video! Happy Belated Birthday, LeAnn! I hope you had a wonderful day. Great projects both cross stitch and quilting, I think it’s a great combination. I’m ready for the snow to be gone and seeing the colors of spring. We have lots of snow here in Northern MN.
You guys are too funny!!! I would love to have more snow!! Here in southern Missouri we’ve had maybe 3 or 4 snows. And it is usually melted in just a few days. We always want what is on the other side of the fence!😂 Take care, ladies. Happy stitching!!
Just found you girls! I’m your neighbor from northern WI. We have a lot of snow and lots of ice on our lake yet too. I LOVE MY HEATED STEERING WHEEL!! I will never live without, I hope. Loved your stitching (and quilting)! I love XJude’s linen! I also love the MillHill snowmen. And I have a lot of the same patterns that you have gotten. Great minds.. Looking forward to your next video. Take care!
Jeannie, your finishes are beautiful 🥰🥰 You are such a prolific stitcher. Leanne, your samplers are gorgeous, and I love the charts you have both picked out to stitch! I enjoy the both of you so much, especially your humor and cheerfulness!
So many wonderful projects and so much fun laughing along with you! Now, LeAnn, be careful what you ask for. Here in central Mississippi Forsythia bushes are already flowering and the early Daffodils are in bloom too. We're having an early Spring. Come visit if you want, but you really don't want to live through our hot, humid, summers.
No more snow! LeAnn make a trip to Como Conservatory to get your flower fix. The sunken garden is beautiful when they have the spring display. It helps break up the long Minnesota winter. Oh and then as long as you are in the cities, may as well stop in to Stitchville. Great video. Love seeing what you two are working on. ❤️
Always makes my day when I see you've put up a new flosstube! You two bring us all so much laughter and joy. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work!
Hi Ladies, you two have been so busy. LeAnn your miniature quilts are gorgeous. I just started to get into miniatures. I just love seeing all the quilts. Thank you for sharing quilts along with cross stitch. ❤
@@loosethreadstitchers1665 I'm a slow stitcher also. I love just listening about your trips and your stories. I look forward to every new floss tube. I have been ordering from Justine even though I am am in western NE. I do have a local LNS.
LeAnn, I really really really hope you find a garden store to walk through. Go every week! Or if there is a greenhouse or university with a conservatory? I hope you reach out to Two Tall Stitchers - I bet they will like sharing their idea and want to see your quilts, too. Thanks to you both for the fun and the beautiful and inspiring work. Just what the doctor ordered for today.
Thank you, Marcia! I have plans for Monday to visit a large garden store. I agree with you, once a week might just do the trick! I think that's a good idea to reach out to Two Tall Stitchers. I don't want to make anyone unhappy or think we are trying to compete. That's not it at all. We both have been quilting for a very long time, and have lots of quilts to share. Thanks for your input, it is greatly appreciated!
So good to watch and “fan girl” you two again and was excited to meet you at 24 hours. Happy you enjoyed the fobs, hope to see you Saturday. You ladies are so productive! Your quilts are beautiful!
Leann I too am anxious for gardening, I watch English gardening shows on UA-cam, they’re great . Jeanne I share your thoughts on how many more quilts can I make but lately I can’t stop obsessing over making more and more cross stitch finishes . So they don’t take up much room and I can take my time with a few quilts I still want to make. I love the idea of you both showing your quilts behind you but I would miss the turtles! I look forward to many more videos from you❤
Have you ever gone to SR Harris for fabric? Where in MN are you ladies? LeAnn, where do you buy your amaryllis? Do you store them and replant in the fall? I let mine bloom, then I put them out in summer. Then I store for the winter. I'm right there with you on the flowers! I want to garden! Thank you ladies!
Hi Edwena! I am in Lindstrom and Jeannie lives in Isanti. I buy my amaryllis' at Bachman's and on ebay. I do the same as you. I put them outside in the summer, bring them in in the fall, when the leaves turn yellow, then I put them in the closet for 6-8 weeks, then bring them out and start watering them.
I’m new to your channel and am so glad I found you both. Fun, fun videos. I, too, am a cross stitcher that started in the 1980’s and then dwindled off around 2002 to learn to quilt. I’m back at my cross stitch for about a year now. Love all the new patterns, fabrics and thread. The Silver Needle you are going to…Tulsa, OK? That’s the one I know and it’s my LNS. But, it’s an hour and a half away from me😟. I’m farther west in OK. Also a question on your turtle tank. I’ve only seen turtles in the country, we lived in Ohio until 3 years ago, around ponds and such. Mostly on land. Are those a special kind that stay in the water all the time? Going to watch some of your older videos.
Hi Sandy! Welcome! I have 6 turtles in my big tank. They do live in water, but need a dry "basking" spot to dry off every day. I don't think you can see their basking spots in the video. Tortoises live on land and only use water to drink or soak in shallow water. If you see a turtle on land, most of the time it is a female looking for a spot to lay her eggs. Yes. We are going to Tulsa, OK in April for a class with Heartstring Samplery at Silver Needle. I know about distance to cross stitch stores. Our nearest one is an hour away. I'm glad you enjoyed our video!
I'm glad you finally saw them! Most people tell me that they put them to sleep and are mesmerizing! They obviously don't have that effect on you! It's okay, Shelly, just had to tease you. You take it well, though!
Just found you lovelies and had a hard time looking at your stitching I kept watching the turtles what kind are they? I really want to attend a 24 hour at Welcome Stitchery but winter travel across SD is iffy. Definitely will be binging your other videos. 🧵🪡
Hi Bonnie! Welcome to our channel! I have 3 albino red-eared sliders, 2 western painted turtles, and one pink-bellied sideneck. I also have 2 diamondback terrapins in different tanks, and 4 Indian Star tortoises. They live in 8' x 3' vivariums in the winter. They need warm! Thanks for watching!
How do you get your amaryllis to bloom year after year? No one in my family has ever had any success. You might need to rent a trailer to get your haul home from Silver Needle. I’m not sure a truck will be big enough…lol. Have fun Super Bowl shopping with Justine.
Hi Vicki! I put them outside for the summer where they get morning sun. Then in the fall, I bring them in. When all of the leaves have turned yellow, I put them under my tortoise vivarium where it is darker for about 6-8 weeks. Then I bring them out and start watering, and put them by the patio door where they will get sun. Hope this helps! I am a little afraid about Silver Needle, too. I have a minivan, so all seats will be down for the ride home! Wish us luck!
