I’m very confused, so if the grown female sea monkey can give birth to the sea monkeys when they’re not in the egg and they’re just already out of the egg then how do you get sea monkeys in eggs to hatch? this is actually one of my genuine questions lol
Anyone who is curious: They live birth, yes, but you can also harvest the eggs and dry them to keep them in packaging to sell or hatch at a later date.
These things grow so fast and live so short, being able to watch these things people want to grow and die all in one month makes me feel like millions of years old
I just got my sea monkeys (I prefer to call them aqua dragons) on Christmas Day At first I didn’t think they would hatch since I used different water than the instructions told me to Today I can see little babies swimming around I gave them food like the instructions told me to They’re so small and so cute I’ll do my best to update this as they grow
I'll be using replies for updates on my sea monkeys/aqua dragons(as i like to call them) it's been a day since I've seen that they hatched. The instructions told me to use bottled water before putting the eggs in the tank, and I had already put in tap water before reading the instructions. the instructions told me NOT to use tap water, so since then I've been making sure to give their tank lots of oxygen through the bubbler tube thingy (whatever it's called) so far they seem to be thriving. the instructions told me to feed them every 2-3 days. I fed them yesterday. they've been swimming around and its quite fun to watch. I can't wait to feed them tomorrow and watch them grow from there.
it's been 4 days since I've seen them hatch, and now all of the eggs hatched. apparently, a few of them must have hatched way before the others, but it's okay, as long as they are thriving. it's so much fun to watch them swim around, they're like a swarm of ants, only much more adorable. the instructions say that if their tank gets dirty to stop feeding them for a few days, but I'll just postpone when I feed them. instead of feeding them this friday, I'll feed them on saturday. I've been making sure to oxidize the heck out of their tank just to make sure they survive, which seems to be working very well. they're still small right now, but hopefully if I'm taking care of them right, they'll grow and make babies of their own. Edit: just to make sure everyone's on track with my replies, I put the sea monkey eggs in the tank on Christmas day which is the day I got them. they hatched on December 26.
It's been a week since my sea dragons have hatched, and now they've grown much bigger and I can see them much more clearly now. However, I had lost track of the last time I had fed them and I was super anxious. Yesterday, before I fed them, I read the instructions on the small bag of food for them. It said that if I give them too much of the food, bacteria will grow in their tank and it will take up their oxygen and it might kill them. Immediately after I fed them, I grabbed my pipet and I made sure to oxidize their tank for a while. I have no idea if I did the right thing or not, but so far they are still alive and growing. I will feed them on Wednesday to make sure their tank has time to clean up a bit, but they are thriving and they're so cute! also HAPPY NEW YEAR (god please let this year be a normal year...)
it's been nine days since my sea dragons have hatched, and i'm beginning to grow a bit worried. i've been seeing an alarmingly less amount of sea dragons. some of them are large and some are small and still alive, but i fear that i might have killed a large chunk of them by accident. I'll do my best to keep the remaining sea dragons alive so they can mate and have babies, but i'm still worried that some might have died. Edit: luckily none have died so far, they've just been swimming in parts of the tank where I can't see them.
brine shrimp life u buy some brine shrimp eggs at ur local fish store in day 0 u put them in a brine shrimp hatchery with aquarium salt and in day 1 they get eaten by guppies😋
I've tried raising them many times, but always fail, and no this isn't asking for tips, I'm just wondering how big/old they can get, and how long it needs
I know they used to market these to kids. If I was a kid who got these (and wasn't already dismayed by the false advertising) I would be massively creeped out by the appearance of these translucent water spiders.
@@pico-cosmos I figured since there is more water volume a second spoon wouldn't hurt but they aren't getting fed for 3 or 4 days or until that water clears now lol
Sea monkeys remind me of a certain Pokémon but I forgot the name and it’s mainly because of the eye placement, body shape and the way the sea monkeys move around
