gen 9 really has so much potential for one-pokemon metagames just bc of tera types. instantly you have 18 different ways to build sets before you even get to moves and team strats. even if most of them suck theres still so much really cool potential
@@monsterman2.0yt6I feel like a Smeargle only metagame would probably demand an extremely aggressive banlist in order to not have several game breaking sets at any given time. It just gets access to too many good options, in the form of nearly every single signature move. Like, even if moody and baton pass are banned, I’m just imagining slow Shed Tail Smeargle into Tera Ghost / Technician / Belly Drum / Extreme speed / Sucker Punch / Jet Punch etc. I can’t think of a reliable way to counter that. I think Pokémon like Furret that have many excellent options, but not all the best options, are probably the best choice for a metagame like this anyway
@@patroka Honestly yeah that probably would be a nightmare to balance but hear me out I got a better idea. Imagine a Ditto only meta game a meta where you have to wait 10 turns to actually attack every game. Truly a peak idea.
Dunno bout the Hyper Beam/ Giga Impact slander. Getting a fast nuke of at the endgame that does more dmg than brickbreak/ Focus blast without a miss chance seems pretty nice as an emergency. Also Hi Zane -FISH
They have a 10% miss chance, but yeah it's not useless I don't think. But if you get the kill they're gonna set up a tidy up and if you don't well you're just screwed. And plus the funny opportunity cost
Tera Electric is for more advanced Furreters, most wouldn't understand

In the context of most tiers, yes, but I think it can actually be pretty effective here, given how much a Tera Ghost or Tera Fairy can screw you over
