About:
Today we are breaking down the SUPER Hot start for the Red Sox top Prospect Kristian Campbell to start the Red Sox 2024 season. We talk about why Kristian Campbell is doing so good for the Red Sox, why he may be the HOTTEST prospect in Major League baseball, why this could be such a HUGE impact on the Red Sox and what this could mean for Kristian Campbell's 2024 campaign.
I love how prospects progress. There was a day we were anticipating Devers being promoted, now we get to enjoy his talent every day. I enjoy the hope of what awaits us every season. The big 4, then what comes after that. I wanted Swihart and Chavis to succeed so much, sometimes you win, sometimes you miss, and I love it all!
It’s genuinely just so fun to watch it is like watching the future
I saw Devers when he got called up to AAA. And Elsbury when he played his last AAA game before going to the majors. Always fun to see them as they progress through the different levels.
Absolutely!
We may have Duran, Casas,Mayer, Anthony, yorke, teel, Wong, Cambell,Rafaela, Raffy, and Abreu
Yeah there’s a ton of talent here and coming up
Why not trade this dude??
Well not Yorke lol
Breslow is going to have to make some tough decisions over the next off-season. Given the limited starting pitching in Boston, and the dearth of starters in the minors, some, if not most of these position prospects will be have to be sacrificed for the rare commodity that is ptiching excellence. (You're not going to get quality starters by ofereing Dalbec and Meidroth, et. al.)
It won’t be most of them, I think at some point they will have to make a big move though and I think that time is gonna have to come within the next year
Nick Yorke should be top 100. He’s hitting so well and is mad underrated
Yeah Yorke is underrated for sure
C'mon guy, maybe top 300.
GREAT video Corbin! Super entertaining & informative as always
Glad you enjoyed it!
I can’t wait for the next 2 or 3 years it’s gonna be so fun to watch. Even now we are a fun team but when all these prospects come up I can’t imagine how fun this team will be. Let’s hope John Henry spends money too so we are contenders
The free agents we wanted this last off season, aren't working out for their teams, so spending doesn't equal wins....sign our proven talent is a much better approach
Henry allows Breslow to sign a legit pitcher the Sox may be very deadly very quickly
I like Kristan Campbell the numbers certainly don’t lie, and the Red Spx could fill the middle of the line up with Campbell, send Abriue back down and bring up Campbell. One thing is very clear that are injured players are coming back and if we really want to make a run for the playoffs it’s better to address the need to fill the middle of the line up. I say bring up Campbell to the MLB and if he’s not fully ready let him go back down to AAA.
Man Corbin. We are loaded with good prospects. Like button blasted as usual. Here's to Christian Campbell !!! Hope you have a great holiday Corbin. I didn't realize he was the compensation for Xander. He is looking good. Thanks. Joe
Glad you enjoyed the video and I hope you have a happy 4th!
I would like to see him on the Red Sox if he maintains what he's doing now and his defense is as good as his offense. Great information as always Corbin!! Thanks. Have a great day!! "Let's Go Red Sox "!!
Appreciate you watching Dennis!
All these great middle infielders in our system the trade for Grissom for that dude who just may start the all star game for the NL just odd …we need an arm and we are paying him not to pitch for us….i had this clocked from the jump ..never underestimate a player in a contract year.
Man the Sox prospect pipeline is LOADED with great hitters. But no pitchers, literally zero pitching
Mayer , Anthony , Teal , Campbell reminds me a lot of Bogaerts , Bradley , Swihart , Betts
My wallet does not thank you, but I do! 😆
I just grabbed several off of this list , including Sea of Stars, Baten Kaitos, Maglam Lord and God Wars. Amazon also recommended Trails through Daybreak so I grabbed that as well.
Kristian Campbell has been an outstanding prospect. If you are talking numbers alone, he may even be the best prospect in the Sox system. I've read that scouts have been saying that he has a strange hitch in his swing. Unless he's slumping bad, I don't see any reason to fix it or tinker with his swing. One player that I would like you to do an analysis on is an A-ball pitcher named JoJo Ingrassia. He's having a monstrous rookie season and just might be the best pitching prospect in the system, if he continues pitching like this.
Yeah he’s been great Elmer has been great too lots of prospects to talk about!
Wilyer has been more productive because his pitch recognition and lay off up has come a long way. He's not getting sucked in as much with down and out out of the zone off speed either. The best may yet to come . He's made major strides at early recognition and quicker to the ball with bat speed. Hip turn mechanics have improved immensely. His fielding skills have progressed nicely too. We are going to look back at the at the time unpopular Vasquez trade as a steal.
Hadn’t really heard of him yet. Thanks for the insight. Also, I have the same white ‘arrow’ Fenway Park sign 👍🏼
Thanks for watching and hell yea its awesome right?
The Mookie replacement boutta be🔥
Campbell sounds like he has loads of potential hopefully he'll help the major league team soon!
I would say he’s got a ton gonna be fun to see how he progresses
If he continues his success, what I think that does is make one of our top lefty outfielders expendable. The team is too right-handed, and will be worse with Mayer, Teel, and Anthony coming up. A successful Campbell frees up Abreu, Duran, or Anthony to be traded for a top pitching prospect. Though I would hate to see any of them go. I know he can play infield, but we already have some decent RH options at second (Grissom, Yorke).
Yeah it’s options and that’s always a very good thing
Thanks Corbin! I like college kids because they potentially burst onto the higher prospect lists. Campbell could pass guys like Yorke, Grissom and Valdez. Excellent news for Redsox!
Definitely could
You know who else had a weird hitch in his swing….Nomah! Garciaparahhhh!
Yep! Great comp. And you know who else had a similar swing to Campbell? Willie Mays.
GREAT POINT
Kristian Campbell is gonna be an elite defender with power and bat to ball skills
Games are so fun here in Portland. Come catch one while these prospects are together.
I know man I’d love to soo bad I’ve just been absolutely swamped
@@redseatradio all good. Maybe something will open up. Love your content. A+
Nice ....if he plateaus at this level, it's a win
Seems like the only thing holding him back is his weird swing. If he can get it under control in the offseason and still prove he can hit he suddenly becomes a top 25 guy who has defensively versatility. His swing is so violent and fast, his hand eye coordination is insane. I don’t think this is a fluke. Look for the Red Sox to continue to find these contact first guys with projectable bodies and coax power out of them. It worked for Duran. It worked for Bogaerts. It’s working for Campbell.
Also, Sox are kind of desperate for RHH. Can’t imagine they want to trade Campbell at this time. If he’s the real deal he solves a lot of long term issues for the Sox
I’m curious if they just let the swing be if it works. Obviously tweaks here and there but people said devers swing was way too violent to succeed in mlb too so idk sometimes weird works
@@redseatradio could be. We’ve seen our fair share of weird swings in Boston. Just makes the scouts worried I think.
Great video as always Corbin I really hope he continues to stay hot. Go Sox!
Thanks assassin!
Happy 4th Corbin!
Happy 4th!
From what I see he is primarily a second baseman and is learning the outfield. I don’t have a sense of how good he is defensively.
That said, sounds like he has some pop… does he profile like a Dustin Pedroia? Also it is nice that he hits from the right side when so many of the Red Sox top prospects hit from the left.
Breslow is going to have his hands full finding homes for all these middle infield prospects and getting pieces in return, either with the MLB club or restocking the lower levels of the system.
Yeah it sounds like and I should have added a bit about his defense in here but it sounds like he’s extremely athletic at second and quickly learning in the outfield. People like the D
Campbell is just flat-out good. Will be a top 75 prospect by years end if he keeps it up.
Yeah I think he could even get towards top 60 if he keeps hitting like this
Good to see some Right handed hitters progressing we’re all set on lefties
Yeah there’s actually a bunch of really intriguing righties coming up
Campbell is the right-handed outfielder that the RS need. By the time Campbell is going ready the RS will need to make tough decisions. The big 3 prospects are all left-handed, so Breslow is going to have to make some trades. Yorke decision? Mata? They are this year's decisions. Will Henry allow any additions?
Mata is gonna be really interesting he’s been killing it on rehab with some of the Sox bullpen arms struggling I’m curious if they give him a legit shot
Happy Treason Day! I would be up for a Campbell trade. It’d be a good time to unload him. Possibly to the Jays for Kikuchi. It’s take more than a 1-1 but still.
I honestly don’t know if it would take more than that. I could absolutely see the Sox moving him. He gives them ammo that previously they refused to let go
can he play First base???? that is the biggest need right now other than pitching. but you can never have enough pitchers.
1 St the Sox got covered with casas back in a couple of weeks and if this dude keeps hitting the way he does idk if you want him to just be a back up
I think Kristan Campbell is the future second basemen of the Red Sox. That makes Grissom, Valdez and Yorke great trade chips.
Trading Grissom, in the next few months, would be selling low -- very low -- on a player that has hit at every level of pro baseball, before his streak of injiuries this year. Valdez, at best, is just a throw in to any significant trade package. Yorke is the big queston mark...
Basically what Jack said also Campbell can play a bunch of different positions
While I am super mad at the ownership for not doing enough, they have the right idea with not trading away future assets to help the major league team right now. A trade to help the Red Sox but giving away Campbell would be a terrible idea. What if the Red Sox traded Devers while he was in the system for immediate success? We would be trash right now. So instead, they need to sign more players in free agency, where they can spend the cash that most teams don't have.
I think you may be looking at this the wrong way. Raffy wasn't traded no but the 3 prospects ahead of him were to get Chris Sale and look what that got this team. It's not simply about short term gain with trading players like Campbell it is about the long term as well. If the Red Sox are able to get a top pitcher with 4 years of control because of what he is doing right now that is absolutely a win and you still have Mayer, Anthony and Teel.
@@redseatradioThanks! Never thought of it that way
What about his defense.
Should have added a bit in there accidentally cut it. Solid much better at second but he’s extremely athletic and is profiled out to be above average basically anywhere
He seems like a very promising kid.. But will he be better than the guys that are blocking him at both positions that he plays right now.. Only time will tell.. If I was in charge I would promote the big 3 together... Happy Brits have to go to work day...
Best ending to a comment in awhile HAHAHHAA
Why not trade this dude??
Send up nick yorke
Red Sox farm system is locked and loaded. Red Sox will be forced to make some major choices
Yes yes they will
Do you realise that these are the players that will have to be sacrifised to get needed good players to fill out a competative roster?
You do realize all of the “good” players you are referring too all started the exact same way as any prospect we talk about
Is Nick Yorke being slept on??!!!
Yes absolutely
Llegara lejo no tiene miedo es agresivo y muy atletico
Y ni siquiera mencioné su versatilidad defensiva
No! A 22 year-old who had a high K rate in A ball? Until he has 400 Ab's in AA, I won't get excited about him. K rate = chase rate = low bat to ball rate, and all this in A ball. Let's see what he does.
Nonsense. Just about everyone strikes out a lot these days.
