Two players I would not want to see traded are Casas and Duran. Yoshida would be a good move to make for pitching. Glad it just part of the rumor mill hopefully! Have a great one Corbin.!
Boston needs to utilize its glut of middle infielder and outfield prospects in trades for a viable bullpen. Neither Rafi or Casas are going anywhere, Move Story to 2nd and reduce the wear on his throwing arm and get rid of the revolving door at that position, put Rafaela at short full time. The outfield is pretty much set.
We need to move off at least 3 lefties while getting an ace . Wilyer would be the guy I’d move first coming off a solid season but I dunno what value we get back
3? Eh I think there is some legit merit to being more balanced in the lineup but 3 tips you the other way. Realistically you just need to move 1 out of the everyday lineup with Story, Ceddanne and Wong sticking around and Campbell, Grissom and others coming back up then you add in a righty power bat all of a sudden that’s an average of 4-5 righties and 4-5 lefties it’s more about getting the lefties better at hitting lefty pitching
I don’t agree with Rosenthal’s trade scenario, either. Moving Devers to full time DH would be a good move, Corbin. They still would have to get some quality starting and some relief pitching and someone to step in at third if they do switch Devers to DH.
Does anyone remember Mookie you don't trade a star away so many bad deals we need a W/S not keep trading stars this is nuts! Lets trade the G/M let Theo run this team and fire Cora and give #33 a chance Cora has had enough time .
I agree with you Corbin. I totally dislike this rumor or trade scenario. I would be all for it if it was someone like Masa they were going to trade for an above average starter with a few years of team control. I do also like Bregman I think he would be a solid asset for the Red Sox. A great clubhouse guy with a very solid right-handed bat.
Agree completely. I hate to say it, but it makes more sense to trade Abreu for controllable young pitching and sign a veteran RH outfielder until Campbell is (hopefully) ready. Your other ideas are good, too.
@@PieterVanderWerf-p6v Corbin suggests to Seattle for Castillo. I like that. The Sox need pitching and It opens up a spot on the roster and only costs 3 million a year more. Also gives Seattle someone who would hit. I would like to see another pitcher on top of that.
@@Bondagefetishstore Yeah, he should be a good one. And ;under contract for 4 years, I believe. Both sides win. But how is he so cheap? I thought he got around 24mil/year.
Casas IS going to be a stud. It seems like a silly idea. Mariners top AAA prospect is a 1b and their plan centers around the young controllable arms, I think they would listen for Castillo. Bregman idea just doesn't float. Two things that will drive the Sox plans will be 1) What pitchers decline their player options for free agency. 2) What do they envision their outfield to be? They are going to be loaded at OF and especially (although doubtful) if they resign O'Neil.
Need righthanded batters---go after Vladdy---could offer Tpronto a really nice package. Me, I am more concerned about the bullpen for 2025. Go no further than Cleveland--our starting pitching is much better, but their relief pitching is lights out. How many blown saves did the Soxs bullpen produce!!!
@@redseatradio His so called mediocre years is a heck of a lot better than most Red Sox players. Offer Toronto 2 of Casas, Meyer or Abreau. Also Yosheda if they would take him.
Great show, so many options, for next season, so much movable young talent. Respectfully to folks here, I think they still have a chance this year. Everyone I'd playing each other in front of the Redsox. I have them sweeping the Ray's, and it makes the Twins series, playoff at home. I still haven't given up on Cora and this team, they are still battling.
I'd keep Cases for sure I'm going to float another idea how about sign Christian Walker, he and Cases would split first base and DH duties. And unfortunately because Cases has been injured I doubt they'd get a number one for him. This off season is going to be fascinating!
I think they'll sign Corbin Burnes during the off-season. I'm not sure if they will get Alex B, due to the fact he has connections with Alex Cora. I do have a ? to ask you Corbin. Recently I read an article from a Red Sox fan page. It said that Craig Breslow is going to make some what he calls "aggressive moves" for the Red Sox this coming off-season. What does he mean by "Aggressive Moves?" Just curious
Rosenthal is nuts. Bergman is well past his prime. Casas is entering his. Save the $20 million difference in salary and go get a starter. Snell, Montgomery and Byrnes will be free agents again this year.
Definitely some solid points here, it would be nice to trade Yoshida to a team like Seattle for pitching. I’m not 100% sure how I’d say the Sox should get a RH bat, I wouldn’t mind seeing Devers t r y first or do a Papi move and do first sometimes and DH.
We have a better chance of having Mayer covering 3B and Rafy hitting DH until Story is either traded, his contract is up or is moved to 2nd, than us getting Bregman. Personally I'd rather focus on pitching, even our utility players are solid right now.
Would prefer Vlad Guerrero at first base signed long term. I think Craig Breslow will be over matched this offseason in trying to navigate trades. I’m not a big Triston Casas fan, not sold on him, I’d trade him.
With all of the pieces we have, why wouldn't we make a lateral move to get a right handed hitting first baseman from someone else? Why is the end all be all keeping Casas? I'm sorry, but if you can use Casas as a big piece in acquiring Tarik Skubal, why wouldn't you do that? There are guys out there to be had instead of overpaying for a heavily declining Bregman. My point is that there are more options than we think. Maybe move Abreu and Kutter Crawford somewhere to land a real hammer at 3rd or 1st?!? And sign Bieber to replace Crawford which should happen regardless of any corner infield move.
Sure you could do that but the point isthat you can also do that by not depleting a weak part of your system. There’s literally more valuable players in deeper positions
casas and story have both never had a full season to get in rhythm, or be consistent. the leash with story is easy to tell, because he costs a fortune. but the leash on casas may not be that long as we are paying him his rookie salary still. my guess is that we could get something because the upside of casas is there...but the downside is long dry streaks. id be fine signing a good 3rd baseman, who isn't out of position all the time, and let devers dh. i love masa, but he may be expendable at this point.
Really short sites here Casas played 134 games last year and was one of the best players in baseball in the second half last season. He has literally shown everyone how good he can be and everyone is ready to say he sucks why?
@@redseatradio I didn't say he sucks...but i think we could get something really solid for him. i also am not necessarily in favor of putting him on the block. the truth is this team has shown us that it has some glaring holes. connor wong belongs behind the plate. not at first. casas can be the guy, but he also has to prove he is consistent at being healthy.
Basically trading a 30 year for a 25 year old . No thanks . I like making Devers full time DH tho. We need better defense at 3rd, give Marcelo a year at 3rd in triple A next year
I actually like that idea. It will keep Story here earning his money until he gets hurt. Mikey Romano could end up being the shortstop in a couple years. When he was drafted, they thought he could be better than Meyers. Someone no one is taking about is Grissom. He can play 2nd base and/or left field.
Gotta project what you think prospects will do. Corner infielders we want a balance of power and average with solid fielding. I think Casas will hit for a decent not great average and 15 homers. Not enough IMO for 1st base. Trade Casas plus another prospect for a #3 pitcher. Just my thought!!
Triston Casas's 162 game average for his career is 29 home runs. and that's with injuries making his playing time inconsistent. he should only get better.
Mid-year I called for trading Kutter Crawford, suggested at best he’s a bottom of the rotation starter. Someone commented that he’s a top 30 pitcher and be crazy to trade him. I think we sometimes overrate our players because we’re fans! Let’s check in at the all star break next year and see where we are at with Casas. If he’s close to 20 homers and around 60 RBI’s then I’ll stand corrected. Here’s to hoping I’m wrong!, Cheers
I'm in Houston and an Astros fan. Bregman is at minimum 3/4 done with his career and his day-in and day-out effectiveness is definitely slipping. This would be a terrible idea.
only way i would be ok with a casas trade is if they can also trade for and extend vladdy, outside of that i'd do whatever it takes to trade masa and move raffy to dh. i love masa be he just never made sense for a team that has too many left handed outfielders, especially when they platoon him and refuse to let him play in the field.
@@redseatradio I understand but we both know that would come with an extension. I didn’t think I needed to say that . But I think that’s the best chance for the Sox to speed up the process along with the young guys
Here's some comments on the status of the players after the season. First, Tyler O'Neil is a free agent after the season. It would be a good idea to resign him, but he wants a multi year contract . So the chances he will be resigned are not in his favor. Remember Hunter Renfroe, 30 home runs and 99 RBI 's and a Fenway favorable contract, and his was traded to the Brewers for some prospects. Casas is safe for now. The right-handed hitters will have to come from the rookies like Teal and some others.
Moving Rafy to first is a joke. Things would be a little more balanced if only Yoshida was right handed. I don’t see the Sox parting ways with Yoshida but it would sure be nice to have a heavy hitting right handed DH.
I think the first step before any of this is the organization deciding who is worth keeping who can potentially help win a World Series and who can’t. Obviously you need guys like Rob Refsynder to stay afloat, but are guys like Casas, Wilyer, Jarren, TO, Bello, and Yoshida gonna help you get to where this fanbase wants to see the team go. Corbin, if you look at any team in all of MLB history they have solidified right handed batters. The Red Sox need to find that somewhere. I don’t think it’s Bregman. But I think there’s some options available if we sign or move the right pieces we can acquire.
I agree with you totally you don't take a player who has a poor defensive record and put him into a spot where there's even more plays to be made not to mention he has no experience at first base on top of the fact that he is also injured from making a diving play then you're going to put him into an area where he has no experience and has to do even more physical activity than he does now not to mention the money it's going to cost to bring bregman here you could take that money and spend that on one or two starting pitchers that you could really use you have no Ace on this staff and you could definitely use more Bullpen help those are more issues that they need to pay attention to and take care of in 2025 instead of worrying about putting Rafael at first base to pick up bregman Bullpen help starting pitching help possibly keep Tyler O'Neill or possibly let him go and pick someone else of the same caliber up for your power bat
I don’t like it. Duran and Casas could maybe be a 1 for 1 with Logan Gilbert but anything short of that caliber starter is not worth it. Raffy at DH makes the most sense. Not sure Masa can be traded though
Vlad is the only reason I would trade Casas. Regardless, Raffy at 1B could work. In my opinion, Raffy's glove is really great, the throws are where a majority of his errors seem to stem from at 3B. The big question, how would Raffy respond to being moved to 1B. Is this something he would welcome or resist. We know he is an emotional player. If Raffy is not in board, it ,likely does not work.
@redseatradio I agree that Boston has a plethora of middle infield and OF prospects. This is definitely an area of strength. The true issue is which ones will be everyday players, occasional AS or superstars. I keep reading about the value of Mayer and Anthony. I see the numbers but when I watch minor league games, 80 of Mayers, 43 of Anthony's and 23 of Campbell.... I think Campbell is the best prospect Boston has in the system. I also think Mayer's value is decreasing because he can not stay on the field. So, who do you trade? Based on rankings, Anthony should be untouchable while Mayer value may be too low to get what you want in return. Campbell likely is the piece that gets moved and it will be a shame. Casas has an increased value of himself based on a very good second half of 23. He is betting on himself like Betts making an extension unlikely. Duran Casas and Abreu are the pieces that can bring back the pitching return that one would love. Looking at the prospects, who is most likely to sign an extension early. I think Campbell and Teel can get locked up. Lastly, if so many position players end up at 1B, why not Devers.
I love rosenthal but he’s been dead wrong on the Red Sox for years. Ppl love to talk about the handedness issue with the Red Sox, which is completely valid, the issue with the Bregman signing is he has pretty dramatic reverse splits the last 3 seasons. Anywhere between 100-150 points better vs righties than lefties. Devers to me, is either a 3B or a DH I’m not looking to see him scoop balls at 1B. Last offseason they approached Casas about a contact extension, went through spring training with open dialogue and eventually canceled negotiations around the west coast trip during the reg season. How off do their internal scouting have to be to then go and deal him? The Matt Chapman contract is the starting point. Why wouldn’t you just sign a starter if that’s the case? Why do you have to deal one of your better hitters at the lowest point of his value to overpay a FA at a position that’s locked in to get a SP in a trade? Just feels like way too many moves when the simplest outcome is just resign Oneill or trade for an extreme platoon righty who is a dead pull hitter and sign a SP.
Good analysis. There's no way this management group is going sign a guy on the wrong side of 30 in Bregman who is in decline to a multiyear deal. I'm souring on the injury-prone goofball Casas, but you're right. It would make no sense to trade him when the Sox lack depth at 1B and his value is down after a blah season. I agree the solution is to trade Masa, a solid but unspectacular DH, for pitching, and move Devers there. As far as how to improve the offense, I believe the answers are in house in Anthony, Campbell, Meidroth and Grissom. And a healthy Story eliminates the need to acquire a right-handed vet. I predict Campbell, Meidroth or Story will play third next season. Probably Story.
The Red Sox lead baseball in blow saves and unearned runs. Why add anything but pitching and defense. They are actually worse than the White Sox in both categories. That's pretty damning. Add to pitching and defense in the minors so when players are hurt missing time...and that's going to happen... you're not left with a disaster that this season did. You won't need to make stupid mid season trades to quiet the fan base.
Trade Masa, move Story to 3B, call up Mayer for SS, Casas and Devers split DH and 1st base responsibilities. Devers can be the primary DH until he gets 1B figured out.
@@electrobat1401 He’s getting older and more injury prone. Give him somewhere that’s less rigorous on his body. We’ve got some younger players that can fill the 2B void for now. I think you get better defensively with Story at 3B and younger guys up the middle and you give Devers and Casas more rest and more focus on hitting.
I do not like the idea of getting Bregman, Devers is fair as a 3rd basemen so keep him therefor a couple more years. I personally think Casas will be a stud but he is represented by Boris and I think he will not sign a deal, Give him a couple years and if he does not sign then trade him towards the end of the contract. The Red Sox do not have an adiquate first basement to replace him. I do not think Blaze Jordon is the answer. The Red Sox have a lot of Major league talent they can move for starting pitching. I still feel they need 2 starters. I would QO both Privet and Tyler O'Neil. I also would not object to Jansen coming back for another year. The key to everything is they need to move Yoshida. By moving him, they open up so much more flexibility. I would not object to a trade you proposed earlier for send him to Seattle for Castillo, especially if Priveta rejects a QO. I would not be upset if they both accepted. They can always be traded at the trade deadline. I also would not be against moving some of the non-core pieces for more pitching depth in the minors or a stud first base prospect who will be ready in about 3 years.
Don't get rid of Casas unless you get an elite long-term pitcher (not my original idea, another commenter @brentbell7235 suggested it and I completely agree). If you gain a 3B, why not DH Devers? I'm sure the REDSOX can afford a Rt. handed big bat! Like wtf? The owers are pretending like they own a small market team or whatever. Yet there is PLENTY within the RedSox to build a great team around. Next season they (the owners) need to make moves.
2025 is the year we see future Red Sox Star Players shine... Its what Henry wanted with Bloom.... A consistent winner...always in the playoffs... but.... need that Super Star Pitcher!!! 23-24 year old Stud who wins every time out...(Pedro, Rocket)... Anyone on todays roster for that ACE!!! If he is out there....Except Casas...
I would rotate DH for a couple more years. Eventually Devers will be the DH. Part of the problem this year is too many players so young everyone hit a wall even Duran. Although he recently hit it. Next year, the ones here now will be stronger and better. But you are talking 6 more rookies next year. They will probably have the same problem.
Casas is losing a little of his luster with me but I'm willing to see what happens. Do NOT move Devers to 1st! Rosenthall is out of his mind! What ever happened to the idea of ownership loosening the purse strings? Oh wait...John Henry. My bad. This is about trade rumors after all.
Seriously, Corbin we both no way this is never gonna happen If they do spend any money, it’s gonna be on pitching. We got enough young talent. We don’t need to go out and sign a free agent infielders Get rid of Masa , Devers can DH and Cedane can play second snd Story third
It’s not gonna happen. I’m on the FB forums and what’s laughable is people keep putting trade for Vlad Guerrero lol. That be like saying trade for Aaron Judge. Casas will be a Red Sox for a long time. Plus we should be resigning O’Neil. Astros aren’t gonna let Bregman get away and the Red Sox aren’t gonna pay him.
I’ve never been sold on Casas. And I’ve always said Devers should DH. I’m all in on trading Yoshida for bullpen help. Probably send him to the west coast. Guerrero would be a great pickup if Toronto would trade within the division (highly unlikely). Offer them Casas? Casas doesn’t hit much in cold weather. I doubt Toronto would bite. Meanwhile, mlb is blowing guys elbows out trying to get more velocity. I think we need better LOCATION. It seems to me, mlb is as messed up as our government is! Who runs mlb these days? Rule changes. This isn’t conservative sport anymore. Its a mess. Better not go any deeper down the rabbit hole or I do the same as I did for NFL. It was great watching the Celtics. And I know that league is all about China. We’ll see this year whether the refs run interference. I don’t follow the Bruins since Lucic was killing guys on the ice. If they aren’t the Big Bad Bruins, they aren’t what I like.
The best thing Breslow did this year what made him get a D instead of an F for his year at CBO was trade Breslow - he absolutely needs to trade Casas - they grew tired of him during his injury and his comments to media plus he is not a Cora type plyr and note how they don’t even try to extend him. Today word comes out that Boras said Bregman could switch to 2b They could always bring in a Rhys Hoskins or a Nate Lowe type to plug the hole at 1b but i believe trading Casas to Sea for Logan Gilbert say and signing Fried in FA to go along with Gio Houck and Bello that’s a pitching rotation you can get behind and the bullpen would be fortified with Whitlock in pen alongside Slaten & Hendricks
The RedSox only real problem is injuries ! If you could reduce the injuries you would have a pretty awesome team, and trades won't change that!!!!The other thing that bothers me is who made the decision to pitch to Judge on Friday night !!!! That to me was the biggest mistake of the season
Why would you trade Casas at what is his lowest value after being out most of the year? I know he has value but it would be higher if he had a great season....makes no sense
The Sox shouldn't be trading to upgrade the offense under any circumstances. They need pitching. Trading for or signing for $$$ on offense isn't necessary. If you improve defense and pitching only , you remove 25 games lost because of defense below league average and relief pitching below league average. Right handed hitting? If you get to league average you add 5 wins. Attack the biggest problems FIRST.
We all know a sensible trade will never happen. I’ve been saying it for a couple years, Devers isn’t get anymore agile or younger and the injuries will only continue to mount with his violent swing. The front office has to have thought the same and should be preparing for their move with him in the future. Hell, knowing the track record of brass decisions….. we will trade Devers and Duran for Vlad and a soft tossing lefty along with a used washing machine and sodas for the clubhouse vending machines!
Casas sits weird for me. I feel like the fan base craps on him and can't wait to trade him (at least from what i see in our livestreams lol) and i think he deserves more credit than that. However, he's not into untouchable status for me, and I'd be willing to let him go if the price was right.
Yeah it’s absolutely insane how many people only care about what he’s done in the last two weeks and the fact that he paints his nails and completely ignore how good he was last year and how young he is. So dumb.
Astros clearly needed to cheat ... Since the scandal they've qualified for the ALCS..... EVERY SINGLE YEAR!!! ASTROS may have cheated, but hardly gained an advantage..... And Astros hitting got arguably better after those years... Lol always overdramatized... And in baseball... Cheating?? C'mon the sport of baseball is about getting whatever edge you can... You don't know baseball if u don't know that.
If Boston is going to trade casas, the Bergman move makes no sense. It’s kind of the same production at the plate. If you need this right power bat, I instead of moving everybody around, just get Vlad who fits perfectly Boston. Devers will finally have this big bat behind him in the lineup😊
Red Sox need to get out of the gate better in 2025. I would have some mandatory off season workouts to make sure these guys understand the program. Tyler O’Neil should probably be brought back. He’s like Porzingas. You know he’s going to get injured, but he’s still worth it. Running the bases next year needs to be emphasized along with better defense. Cora needs to bring it next season. Build a close clubhouse. Play to win. No hero ball. Unity and teammates. Follow the Celtics formula. Players who don’t fit the formula should be traded out of town.
Casas is 0.1 WAR for this season. I would not think twice about trading him, especially if you kick the tires with Alonso, who answers the RH power question. Also, Bregman came up as a middle infielder. I think he could play 2nd base and at least be an average defender.
@@julianmayo5650 Bregman will be 31 years old, never won a gold glove anywhere, and never played 2nd base in his pro career. I think calling him a gold glove 2nd baseman would be a tremendous reach.
i would do it bc we need that power bat and bregs a killer he kills us everytime. he desperately need that righty batter. however if it means trading casas then ig not
Twins, Tigers are losing. Still not giving up on this season, I love the conversation about next year, but, I am just not there yet. Hoping someone else sees, it possible. Again, Twins keep losing, we just have to sweep the Ray's, which is possible
I dont even want to think about trades. Watch this stupid front office trade Duran for a package of 2 bum prospects that won't amount to anything like Jeter Downs and Vaughn Grissom with maybe a below average offensive outfielder.
Let me get this straight. You want to trade the Sox’s two best players at the weakest positions in their system for 2 guy who is a free agent next year? Brilliant.
@@redseatradio absolutely first and foremost you have to give something to get something back. And that would take top prospects. Therefore if that’s the case out of the big 4 I’m trading teel hands down .
@@redseatradio the Sox can definitely resign vladdy . And the rest of the team would be guys who are under control so yah that makes a lot of sense . We have to many lefties anyway . Someone gotta go
Would Casas, Grissom and Kutter Crawford get Vladdy? He is on a one year contract...making his value less. If the Red Sox are serious about winning, resigning Vladdy to a big deal wouldn't be hard. When were we at our best? When we had David and Manny batting 3rd and 4th. Right now we have Devers and that's it. We need a right handed power bat that strikes fear into the other team. Plus, Vladdy is an excellent defensive 1st baseman. Keep Devers at 3rd, you get to keep Masa at DH. This makes too much sense to not happen. I would even exchange Campbell for Grissom if it made it happen. Get Vladdy in Boston with that Green Monster.
Bregman is not the answer. He turns 31 before opening day. Why trade a 20-25 home run guy for a 20-25 home run guy that’s 6 years older? He also costs 30 mil a year. Keep Casas and try to sign Vladdy after 2025. If they get Vladdy, trade Casas.
No..dont want bregman.. my list beyond the starting pitching I asked for LAST YEAR now is soto or Afonso.. bring back T. O. ..glad we re not saddled with bug maple anymore.. guy didnt want to play for the sox, and bet the"injury" doesnt happen in LA.tired of paying guys who never play for us to rehab. casas needs some winter ball. More fun simply to bring up teel and anthony and let them start skince the fork is already sticking out.. and cora, please nomore sabremetrics, ok. You eear out the bullpen by july every year.. anybidy recall matt barnes?
How about this: bringing Bregman to 3rd and trading Casas for Vladdy and making him a extension right away. Sending Masa to Seatle for one of their pitchers ( Im just dreaming here)
Signing Bregman is dumb. Trading Casas is dumb. Moving Devers is dumb and dumber. Take out your checkbook John Henry. Invest in pitching for f*cks sake.
There is zero reason to Trade Casas after this year because his value is lower now than maybe ever plus Bregman doesn't seem like a game changer he is a much better defender but the offense has gone down for three straight years. I agree look to Seattle and see what we can get for prospects. They need young outfield hitters preferably for power and although I will likely get roasted for this Duran's value has never been higher. Yes he's a great player and yes he was the engine of the team this year but next year he will be 28 and only his 2nd full year in the majors so he's in him prime and controllable but quickly getting older. He reminds me of Ellsberry who fell off a cliff when he left Boston and I could see the same thing happening after a year or two to Duran. Move him while he's at the height of his value and before the fall and bring back O'Neill and maybe even bring up Anthony if he looks good through Spring and the first few weeks of AAA next year. See what Duran plus other pieces can get you maybe even with Masa if we are committed to not playing him in the field. Get back a Woo or Castillo and build from there. Move Devers to DH and add someone even Bregman if you need to then but give Casas at least another year to rebuild his value at the very least.
No. I feel that it is not a great idea. Players have down moments in their MLB careers and Tristian Casas is going through a down moment but the way Ken Rosenthal has put it down. It will make it worse for the Red Sox.
Tyler O’Neill is a veteran right handed hitter who would probably be cheaper than Bregman and who wouldn’t require shifting Devers and / or others out of position. Why let our successful right handed power hitter go just to pick up a right- handed hitter to disrupt you positioning?
Two players I would not want to see traded are Casas and Duran. Yoshida would be a good move to make for pitching. Glad it just part of the rumor mill hopefully! Have a great one Corbin.!

The outfield is pretty much set.

If they trade casas they are the biggest joke of a franchise..
0:39 best way to describe Gerrit Cole I’ve ever heard 😂
Need righthanded batters---go after Vladdy---could offer Tpronto a really nice package. Me, I am more concerned about the bullpen for 2025. Go no further than Cleveland--our starting pitching is much better, but their relief pitching is lights out. How many blown saves did the Soxs bullpen produce!!!
been saying this and vladdy mashes at fenway
Who would you trade to get vladdy and does 2 solid years and 3 mediocre years give you enough confidence he would be worth that package
@@redseatradio His so called mediocre years is a heck of a lot better than most Red Sox players. Offer Toronto 2 of Casas, Meyer or Abreau. Also Yosheda if they would take him.
For a singular season of vlad? Why in the world would the Red Sox do that

Similar to Duran, I would not trade Casas unless are getting an elite pitcher with years of control.
Duran is our mvp..butgot tired and fell off.. but at least he didnt throw it in..
Casas plus others for Skubal and extend him.
Don’t hate that idea at all
@@petergarcia6645 how about Alonzo instead of walker
@@shootermcgavin18 Alonzo would hit a ton of home runs at Fenway but the cheapskate owners won't pay him. Walker is a much cheaper option🤑
Ah yes, casas is a space cadet, with upside😊we need RH power
You can get it without trading casas who gives a damn that he paints his nails and sun baths he’s a damn good player
We have a better chance of having Mayer covering 3B and Rafy hitting DH until Story is either traded, his contract is up or is moved to 2nd, than us getting Bregman. Personally I'd rather focus on pitching, even our utility players are solid right now.
I like the idea of Rafi becoming a DH & getting a reliable righty at 3rd.
Would prefer Vlad Guerrero at first base signed long term. I think Craig Breslow will be over matched this offseason in trying to navigate trades. I’m not a big Triston Casas fan, not sold on him, I’d trade him.
Why do people write this? We’re not getting Vlad JR. that be like me say let’s get Aaron Judge.
An over the hill 3rd baseman when we already have one in his prime??? NOPE Now if they were talking about trading for Eli then my tunes changes :)
Trade for vlad a power 6:34 Right-handed hitter. Casas can't hit left handing pitching.
Let Casas Try to hit Lefties....
He will get better given the opportunity
casas and story have both never had a full season to get in rhythm, or be consistent. the leash with story is easy to tell, because he costs a fortune. but the leash on casas may not be that long as we are paying him his rookie salary still. my guess is that we could get something because the upside of casas is there...but the downside is long dry streaks.
id be fine signing a good 3rd baseman, who isn't out of position all the time, and let devers dh. i love masa, but he may be expendable at this point.
@@redseatradiopeople are crazy Corbin. They still want Dom Smith back and he’s looking for his 5th team this yr.
Dever's at first base? Ridiculous.
Basically trading a 30 year for a 25 year old . No thanks . I like making Devers full time DH tho. We need better defense at 3rd, give Marcelo a year at 3rd in triple A next year
He did play a few games over there at 3rd this season (Marcelo) wonder if they take that into consideration
You are way off on Tristons projections my man
Triston Casas's 162 game average for his career is 29 home runs. and that's with injuries making his playing time inconsistent. he should only get better.
Yeah this isn’t a good idea, we’re gonna end up with more problems 😂
only way i would be ok with a casas trade is if they can also trade for and extend vladdy, outside of that i'd do whatever it takes to trade masa and move raffy to dh. i love masa be he just never made sense for a team that has too many left handed outfielders, especially when they platoon him and refuse to let him play in the field.

I think Duran should be untouchable. Sadly, we can't afford Teoscar Hernandez, so I'd forget about that one.
Any chance el cheapo..aka henry climbs down off his wallet and lets the moths fly
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 😅😅 😅
IF they resign O’Neil, 2 yrs 30 and he’s primarily a DH. But I think a couple right handed power hitters.
Yep yep and yep
I’m down to trade Casas Duran and Masa. Try to get some pitching. You’ll have to eat 75% of Masa’s contract
I don’t like it. Duran and Casas could maybe be a 1 for 1 with Logan Gilbert but anything short of that caliber starter is not worth it. Raffy at DH makes the most sense. Not sure Masa can be traded though
Devers is your DH
Vlad is the only reason I would trade Casas. Regardless, Raffy at 1B could work. In my opinion, Raffy's glove is really great, the throws are where a majority of his errors seem to stem from at 3B. The big question, how would Raffy respond to being moved to 1B. Is this something he would welcome or resist. We know he is an emotional player. If Raffy is not in board, it ,likely does not work.
It’s actually kind of the opposite his arm is really solid. But why would you trade casas for vlad just to have to fill first base again in 2026
@redseatradio I agree that Boston has a plethora of middle infield and OF prospects.
Really good points in here
Good analysis.
I agree with you i think Grissom and Campbell could be the fix on the right hand side and maybe sign TO, when he is healthy he can wreck.
@@victorgonzalez4036 Yeah, he's going to be a tough one to let go. That kind of power is hard to find.
Ken’s worst take ever
The Red Sox lead baseball in blow saves and unearned runs. Why add anything but pitching and defense. They are actually worse than the White Sox in both categories. That's pretty damning. Add to pitching and defense in the minors so when players are hurt missing time...and that's going to happen... you're not left with a disaster that this season did. You won't need to make stupid mid season trades to quiet the fan base.
Trade Masa, move Story to 3B, call up Mayer for SS, Casas and Devers split DH and 1st base responsibilities. Devers can be the primary DH until he gets 1B figured out.
Why would you move story with 2b wide open
I like trading Yoshida make Devers DH
No this is about signing bregman…
What to many states that you give.
Seriously, Corbin we both no way this is never gonna happen
If they do spend any money, it’s gonna be on pitching. We got enough young talent. We don’t need to go out and sign a free agent infielders
Get rid of Masa , Devers can DH and Cedane can play second snd Story third
It’s not gonna happen. I’m on the FB forums and what’s laughable is people keep putting trade for Vlad Guerrero lol. That be like saying trade for Aaron Judge. Casas will be a Red Sox for a long time. Plus we should be resigning O’Neil. Astros aren’t gonna let Bregman get away and the Red Sox aren’t gonna pay him.
The Red Sox need bullpen. Badly. Yes they need a right hand power bat, but if it were me, I would be hyper focused on reinforcing that bullpen.
We got a right handed bat in O’Neil
Today word comes out that Boras said Bregman could switch to 2b
They could always bring in a Rhys Hoskins or a Nate Lowe type to plug the hole at 1b but i believe trading Casas to Sea for Logan Gilbert say and signing Fried in FA to go along with Gio Houck and Bello that’s a pitching rotation you can get behind and the bullpen would be fortified with Whitlock in pen alongside Slaten & Hendricks
Trade Verdugo !!
Yeah there not trading Casas
The RedSox only real problem is injuries ! If you could reduce the injuries you would have a pretty awesome team, and trades won't change that!!!!The other thing that bothers me is who made the decision to pitch to Judge on Friday night !!!! That to me was the biggest mistake of the season
Devers DH
Vlad isnt getting traded to the Red Sox and never will. Thats be like me saying I’d trade for Aaron Judge.
Casas sits weird for me. I feel like the fan base craps on him and can't wait to trade him (at least from what i see in our livestreams lol) and i think he deserves more credit than that. However, he's not into untouchable status for me, and I'd be willing to let him go if the price was right.

Boy this comment isn’t going to go over well I bet. But your logic is incredibly sound
No. I feel that it is not a great idea. Players have down moments in their MLB careers and Tristian Casas is going through a down moment but the way Ken Rosenthal has put it down. It will make it worse for the Red Sox.
Bregman isn't going to Boston
That’s the point of the video
@@redseatradio sorry I commented before I got to that part🤦
Ya keep Devers at 3rd
The connect uniforms schould say Beantown and different colors. There is a lot of good uniforms in the league. Motor city. Phillies. Etc
What the hell has this got to do with the topic of trade rumors!? 🤡😂
I think Blake Jordan is going to be better Tristen
In what world
Tyler O’Neill is a veteran right handed hitter who would probably be cheaper than Bregman and who wouldn’t require shifting Devers and / or others out of position. Why let our successful right handed power hitter go just to pick up a right- handed hitter to disrupt you positioning?
It's a stupid idea! Bregman is closer to his career end and Casa is beginning!
@@robertsomogy3185 of course but you have to trade someone good to get pitching . Obviously casas has more value straight up than Bergman
All i'm going to say is... they better F*kkin NOT.
