Some Metal jacks are cantilevered and put extra diagonal stress on a rung about 45 degrees with the worker standing above open space. I like that the stress from this design is directly down on a rung and at the left and right rung ends not in the midst of a rung. With 2 of these jacks and a plank between, a person's weight is distributed over 2 rungs on 2 ladders. Nice, quick, simple to move on slanted terrain or tight spots.
simple and reliable, like our aka 47))). Thanks, I was just looking for a way to do without scaffolding. There are smart people everywhere. good luck. просто и надежно,как наш ака 47 ))). спасибо, я как раз искал как обойтись без лесов. везде есть умные люди. всего хорошего.
It worked extremely well. With Cutek you should apply with low pressure and the hand pump allows this. It was comfortable on the back. I filled about half way because of my age, the way it affects your balance up high and you're going up and down a lot so why carry needless weight. There was a bit of over spray but the speed of application with back brushing was well worth it.
You don't show an adjustment for the angle of the ladder leaning against whatever. When you ran the plank across it wasn't flat on the "jack" and it wobbled as you stood on it.
If you can't build one by pausing / watching the video. Then I wouldn't reccomened it. This is fairly simple, I explained the build and due to possible injury I'm not going to put myself at risk doing a tutorial.
Nice going. Good idea to not give instructions, skilled carpenters can make them from what you have shown. Are the cross members all 1x material to keep the weight down? The thing I don't like about the metal ones is they don't have the ladder pieces, so it's difficult to climb up and down.

I don’t think so. He’s just saying, “Hey guys, look what we built”. If he gives you instructions and you build it like he tells you to then the liability lies with him. I can get on and say, “He look, I built a rocket that will take me to the moon”. If you build a rocket and try to go to the moon just because you saw someone on UA-cam say they did it, they can’t be held liable. But if someone gives you the instructions to build a rocket to go to the moon and it explodes and blows your face up, I think they can be held liable. I’m a UA-camr and if I’m not mistaken this is the legality of it all. Have a great day. 😊

I'd love to hear from you guys, thanks for the support
Absolutely brilliant! I wish I could have a better view of the bottom on how it actually works on the ring to be so sturdy. Your dad is awesome

Wonderful, easy and cheap to make yourself.
Absolutely best ladder jack I have see. I will build one.
Thanks!

Why do you repeat yourself? Deeeerrrrrrp TiMmAyY🥴⛑️
Nice jig. Have to make sure the ladder is really secure when running a plank across way up top.
E o idee foarte buna sa poti lucra la inaltime !
Felicitari !
Got lucky that the log end didn't break that electric meter
25 year old dry cedar
Wat een briljant idee!! .. ik ga ook zo'n ding maken!!!
Thank you for sharing this with all of us , wood lovers👍😉🫶
Looks useful 👌
It is!
Do you have instructions for making the ladder jack?
He said in video he is not going to put out instructions on how to make the ladder jack. I assume he chose not to for liability reasons.
We need to believe 😂
I don't blame him for not putting it out there, someone would try to sue, if it cause a injury
@@trickyricky12147 you hit the nail on the head!
How did that backpack sprayer work for you to apply the stain?

Awesome! Sub'd.
What is the "recommended' max weight?
@vexthm9827 I've had 3 guys on them was scaffolding
The ladder max weight for that design, approximately 200 lb
COTTAGE!?!? THts the biggest “Cottage” I’ve ever seen. Any videos on that!
@@TristenHernandez nothing yet stay tuned
What’s the metal piece on the bottom that sits on the rung of the ladder?
2x4 metal stud chanel
Echt geweldig! Zou alleen wel safety shoes aandoen.

Flip flops and Crocs on ladders… Ha!
In some places, there were metal ones. However, they were deemed illegal and unsafe in Quebec Canada by the CNESST
Ya these have been banned in many places. but you can still buy metal ones

@nailbanger2 yup the steps on the back are awesome and the platform is bigger. The cross pieces are clear barn board ripped to 1"×2"
So you can’t build these and use them at your own private residence? I can see at a paying job not using them, but not at home.

safe as shit😊
Not for woosies. Ever try a zoom boom on slanted property, wet ground and tight places?
Shark tank this
You are going to kill someone who tries to build this without the skills your father has.
I never showed how to build it. I already explained there are risks if u don't know what your doing

These things were outlawed for a reason; bt, we are humans.🤔😵💫🤫
Marijuana was outlawed in Canada at one time also, now we have drug injection sites paid for by the government at the tax payers expense
