Hi, when nulling the leads why does the screen show 'less than' zero once nulled? Shouldn't it be at zero?

Why does the insulation resistance test take so long to start once the test button has been depressed?

All insulation tests must now have a timer to prevent them starting instantaneously.
This is a mandatory requirement of IEC 61010, the international standard that defines the electrical test instrument safety.
