Bradford revealing that he was the reason that Della stole the Spear of Selene and got lost on the moon, all so he could hurt Scrooge and isolate him.
    1) What makes it worse is that not only did Bradford hurt Scrooge: he hurt the entire McDuck family, causing Donald to never speak to Scrooge for ten years, the boys to never know who their mother was and Della stuck on the moon and not seeing her children grow up.
    2) Speaking of "isolate", while Bradford is showing Scrooge his slideshow, he mentions that he had wanted to isolate him, first showing a picture of Bradford glaring at Scrooge and Duckworth at a Christmas party *and then* the second picture shows Scrooge sadly hanging up a picture of Duckworth. *With implications that Bradford may have been responsible for his death somehow.*

I really like Bradford as the archvillain of the Ducktales series, it works so well thematically and I like how his motivation is sound given that we've seen Louie in a similar position. Also I don't really believe Black Heron was sent into oblivion when she fell into the portal. Every other time she fell from a great height she used her cyborg arm to either escape or lost the cyborg arm in an attempt to grab something. I think she tampered with the portal, knowing she'd deliberately irritate Bradford and get pushed in, to have it send her to a different dimension. I think if we ever get a Darkwing Duck spinoff series we'll see Darkwing Duck, Launchpad, and Gosalyn encounter Black Heron and the Bradford clones while trying to rescue Gosalyn's grandpa.

That was a brilliant theory actually. I think Bulba, Hammerhead Harrigan, a more intelligent and competent Steelbeck, and Tuskerini aka the owner of Funso's will get involved. I'm 88% sure the latter was working for FOWL by agreeing to use one of his amusement centers as an outpost in Duckburg. Negaduck could also make a comeback, though he would be his own man and focused on revenge against DW and LP for humiliating him

There is also the fact that Bradford said if Scrooge was thrown in he would likely find a way out of it. Implying that it may not be foolproof as it seems and it is possible that someone may find a way out of the void the vortex traps them in or it may actually just do what it was intended and send them to another universe or dimension that Bradford didn't know of. Also Heron may become the main villain if she returns in Darkwing Duck. We already knew she was in a way the puppet master behind Bradford's actions that made him corrupt. So it would make sense.

The tragedy of my OC the Smiler is that he was mutated into a demonic killer by Bradford's negligence, robbing the Smiler of his future. But when he tries to use the Harp of Mervana to expose the 'wolf in sheep's clothing', not only does it go wrong and Izzy tries to justify Bradford to the harp, but Izzy blames the accusations on the Smiler after his demonic attributes are accidentally revealed to her. If Isabella met modern Bradley AND Catlock (the Smiler's real name), she would be heartbroken at how her favourite grandson was (as her other grandson (Smiler) put it) 'No better than me'; of course Brad yelling back with 'You kill people'!

In a certain way, any child who was forced to go on one of the adventures that Bufford was forced to go on would be left with various traumas and what's more, in the photographs, little Bufford is seen with constant expressions of fear, terror or nervousness. In addition to noticing that after growing up Bufford was permanently affected (it is seen during his presentation as since his graduation he never showed any expression of joy or happiness) demonstrating not being able to show other emotions that are not strong such as anger or fear and perhaps nervousness (the last being the easiest to show due to his various traumas)

    • @maksymilianziele28
      @maksymilianziele28 Рік тому +7

Not all kids are full of adventurous vigor like Donald's nephews. Some kids, nervous and shy by nature, like reading books in a quiet library, where they can learn skills and be at peace without anything which would endanger their delicate psyche. Ruin that kid's inner peace and certainly he would see only the worst in anything what he was forced to be part of, along with every injury he had from these adventures, because Bradford was never the most athletic bird in the world. If he said no in that matter, he would only hear in return "You don't mean that." or "You will appreciate it.". If Bradford was not dragged into adventures, he would become for example a stern, but ultimately noble, scholar. Instead, consumed by his past, he became a greedy and ruthless businessman.

    • @Jawesomness16

Regardless of his past trauma, he still took things too far. He conspired against Scrooge and his family for his own goals, and tore that family apart knowing the leaked info would have Della running at the opportunity of adventure. Sure, you could say he was forced down the wrong path, but it doesn’t excuse the wrong he does. He literally tried to murder people. He even smiled with joy seeing the pain and anguish in Scrooge’s face when he told him about leaking the spear to Della. He really needed a therapist or something.

    • @ziyajafar82
      @ziyajafar82 2 місяці тому +1

@Jawesomness16 bradford just let Della know about existence of this rocket, he didn't force her(if he did, della would tell to scrooge about it, but she didn't even know that bradford is villain), he didn't know that Della will emidiatly will go on rocket for joyride, she didn't check if there was a space storm there, not even waiting for her kids to hatch. It's all Della's fault, it was her her choice, her desicion, her inability to wait, she stoled rocked. You can say that it's Bradford's fault that he torn family apart, because he let Della know about spear earlier, but you should know that if della's plan space adventures will go successfully, because even without bradford they will eventually go to space, they will put earth to galactic-scale danger, that will be worse than moonvasion (just like Rick Sanchez provoked the intergalactic government to earth and they used a death ray that killed many innocent people). It was implied earlier in season 1 episode "jaw$" that scrooges unpredictable adventures does put innocent people in danger without any villains involved, HE DESTROYED THE ORPHANAGE, and besides that episode there's many examples of that. Even tho I don't justify Bradford's actions like erasing living people who ties with adventures, but you should try understand bradford. Looks like bradford didn't have parents, he only has a grandmother. Isabella Finch was a terrible grandmother because she instilled her personal interests in her grandson and forced him to go with her on dangerous unpredictable adventures when Bradford was not personally interested, he doesn't want this and has the right, but Isabella still forcing him, claiming that adventures are fun and educational, only traumatized the child who was not interested in adventures. Then Bradford dedicated his life to stopping the chaos through s.h.u.s.h, f.o.w.l. and mcduck's c.e.o. On the one hand he is right, how much longer should ordinary citizens live in fear of unpredictable danger that Scrooge's family causes, because he himself knows what it's like, he wanted everything to be normal, just like Donald in a sitcom episode. Only Donald learned to accept his family as it is thanks to a healthy environment, when Bradford had no one in his environment, only terrible grandmother who didn't understand her grandson and forced him in her personal interests, and probably died on her last adventure, ludvig who also didn't understand bradford, at the same page with isabella, villains that only trying to make villain out of bradford, and they are hard to be controlled and Bradford became crazy of this, because of terrible environment and trying to controll everything. Bradford is good villain, he doesn't deserve hate or slander. The scene there he broke promise by dropping Donald feels forced and out of character just to make people hate Bradford and make his sort of death satisfying, just like forsed scene with Toffee that he broke promise that he "killed" moon's daughter, claimed that she's gone just for sake of make viewers hate toffee and writers give him rushed anticlimatic and overcruel death, thinking that will satisfy viewes, not realizing that toffee's death is a start of downfall of the show, also breaking promise to moon is also out of character, because in season 1 finale toffee kept his promise and let Marco go.

What I love about Bradford's plan with the Papyrus of Binding is that he literally didn't think how it would hinder him.
Not even counting the contradiction that Scrooge can stay safe with his family if he gives up adventuring when family is the greatest adventure of all, he didn't consider the fact that, since Scrooge DID sign the Papyrus of Binding, the stipulation that he and his family would be safe protected them from anything Bradford threw at them.
The moment Scrooge signed the contract, his family were immediately under the complete protection of the Papyrus and its reality altering powers, which was why Bradford couldn't do anything to stop their family as they fought him, thus giving the triplets and Webby the necessary time to find the contradiction in the Papyrus contract.
Bradford's plan was literally what defeated his plan.
It's hilarious, stupid and brilliant all in one

Bradford is a dangerous accountant and he could had foreseen anyone trying to continue Scrooge's work...so he had to add a clause to prevent those type off things..you know how those vultures (no pun intended) always add a fine print to cheat their way out.
However....the treatment he gave to the other clones and how he disposed Heron gave a pushback to make the family able to rescue Scrooge on time, since May and June saw Bradford as the monster he really was.

You can't tell me that in between all the journeys he had with Isabella Finch, he couldn't have sat down with her and had a heart-to-heart talk about what he wants to do instead of shutting himself up and helplessly going anyways; and given how amazing she was, I'm sure she would've understood. But planning the annihilation of a single family for thirty years, bankrupting a multi-billion dollar industry AND putting together a team of villains (while failing to admit you yourself are one) isn't any better.
I hate characters who claim to do evil for "the greater good" and believe in the idea of "doing bad for good reasons." To me, the only time where a "bad thing" is being done out of noble intentions is where Robin Hood is concerned. Everyone else who believes in such ideas are just...evil

This may be on account of the facts that there are plenty of people like him in real life and needless to say, one of Disney few realistic villains, alongside Chip from Big City Greens (there's a video about him) and Judge Frollo from the Hunchback of Notre-Dame (severely underrated, in my opinion). Don't believe me, watch the finale. What made him impressive is that he actually won, albeit by becoming the thing that Black Heron kept insisting he should be. Which ducktales villain is more of a thanos level threat: lunaris or Bradford?

Sorry for being late. Lunaris is more of an existential threat due to him actually having the potential to slowly freeze Earth to its icy death. Unlike Taurus Bulba or General Lunaris, Bradford's villainous intent was merely to wipe out all forms of adventure (even if he is just as vile as the former two due to his attempts to personally destroy the McDuck family). This is all despite the fact that he possibly had the resources to do as Bulba and Lunaris did, although his way of villainy was in the idea of control. If we're speaking in terms of a threat to existence, Lunaris and Bulba easily take the cake.

In terms of how they went to achieve their goals, Lunaris was more of a Thanos-level threat. I think that the act of destroying the planet is more threatening than trying to destroy one's family.

I think Bradford was right, the ducks and their adventures created a lot of chaos and trouble for everyone else.
Them actually going on adventures without care of big consequences for normal people is a problem.

Okay. One thing I've yet to see anyone talk about (either in videos or comments) that I found to be a brilliant little detail is the First Junior Woodchuck Rule.
(Long essay incoming. Ye've been warned.)
Now, when Huey and the rest of the gang saves Donald by turning off the Vortex at the last minute, Huey states the prima principia of the Junior Woodchucks: "Junior Woodchuck Guidebook rule number one: Always expect the unexpected!"
This is brilliant in that it reflects both Hueys struggles during the show and specifically this season and why Bradford was not only the first, but the *worst* JW.
Huey loves planning, scheduling and doing things "by the book". That guidebook really is his security blanket and in "Terror of the Terrafirmians" we see how poorly he handles unfamiliar situations. He doesn't mind threatening situations (he goes on adventures all the time and he's way less cowardly than Louie), as long as he knows *what* he's up against. And when playing a vast MMORPG he prefers to tend to his garden rather than risk losing his XP on dangerous unknowns. Not to mention "The Duke of Making A Mess".
Like Bradford, Huey likes order, safety and control. And both of them are JW's.
Yet in the first episode of this season, Huey learns the hard way that he is far from the ideal JW that he thought he was. And I believe one reason for that is that he is yet to truly grasp the first rule. He believes he can expect the unexpected by planning and, well, expecting it. But that means when he can't expect it (or find a solution in the JWGB) he panics. To go a bit eastern philosophical, he needs to become less Confucian and more Taoist. Learn to "Take it as it comes". Which he does little by little during the season. Accepting his "messier" side etc.
It kind of comes back to what Donald said to Scrooge in the first episode of the series: "No matter what I do these boys will get into trouble. So maybe… you can teach them how to get out of trouble."
Donald (also a poor JW, didn't even make the cut to become one) failed to expect the unexpected by trying to reign it in, but learned that it is better to teach the kids how to deal with trouble (the unexpected) than avoid it. (Not to say that you should rush head-first into trouble, but that it's good to know how to get out of it if you get into it).
Still, there is one who is even worse at handling unpredictability, and that is Bradford. No wonder, really. He's an accountant. And: "You see, in your report here, it says that you are an extremely dull person. Our experts describe you as 'an appallingly dull fellow, unimaginative, [...], no sense of humour, tedious company and irrepressibly drab and awful.' And where as in most professions, these would be considerable drawbacks, in accountancy they are a positive boon." (Monty Python's Lion Tamer Accountant sketch).
Bradford doesn't like the unexpected. It interferes with his calculus. And he takes time in his calculations (he spent 30 years writing the contract for the Papyrus). He prefers the dull, safe bets, and the only time he isn't stingy is when it comes to order and control, which he wants at all costs.
In short, he didn't merely misinterpret the first rule of the JW's. He actively went against it. Trying to prevent the unexpected from happening in the first place so he didn't have to expect it.
Also, this seem like a nice jab from the creatives at DuckTales towards the stuffy accountants, especially in Hollywood.
You know the cliche by know: "Hollywood is out of ideas! They're creatively bankrupt!" And, well, that's a half-truth. There are still original ideas and spec scripts in Hollywood, but no-one is willing to bet on them. That is the environment real-world Bradfords have created.
If you have two scripts; One an original but exciting idea, one based on a pre-existing concept like, say, emojis, maybe? A producer would be far safer wanting to back the existing concept rather than the original idea. Why?
Well, if the new idea fails, they can kiss their jobs goodbye. "Yeah. It failed. But I thought it was an interesting script and that it would have an audience". Now, the film may still have been good. Critics and the few people who saw it liked it, and it is destined to become a cult classic. But poor marketing, or it going up against the latest Marvel, Star Wars or Pixar movie at the box office or any other reason outside of creatives doomed it from the start. It doesn't matter. The Bradfords will kick the producer out, because clearly they (the producer) has poor judgement skills.
But the one who went with the existing idea or property, and if that movie failed? "Shucks, guys. I'm as surprised as you are. The chart said that emojis are popular with kids, so the movie should be popular too." The Bradfords goes; "Yeah, that checks out. It wasn't your fault, it was poor data."

That is a very formidable analysis over what made Bradford the worst woodchuck junior and the biggest stick in the mud.
So many millonaires in ducktales had an archetype, what with Scrooge being the ideal one, Mark Beaks being new gen, etc....and Bradford being the one who goes for the boring approach but withotu the sense off wonder.
