Kupe navigator I highly doubt the heads of the show will go down that route. They're probably still finding a way to introduce Quackmore and Hortense into the show, just like with the triplet's dad.
I wonder if Hortense and Scrooge had a falling out... Maybe after Scrooge built the Spear of Selene which caused Della to go missing for over a decade? If you think about it, it makes sense because any parent would be upset if their sibling (or anyone else for that matter) were responsible for loosing their child. And Donald didn’t talk to Scrooge at all during that time so maybe Hortense did the same. Just a thought.
What if the castle is like an area of effect? Aging stops in the field but outside of it time ticks on. If they lived outside the castle, they could have aged and died naturally by their own choice.
@@bearstarpresents2264 Not really, if that's your case then Scrooge would have die by now. He said that he became immortal all because of the Castle's effect when rebuilding. People can be immortal if they're born in the castle, therefore, it is the same reason why Matilda had immortal effect as Scrooge implies.
I hope hortense appears in the show and yells her daughter a new one for not telling her she came back. Quackmore then pulls her away then yells at della for trying to give the triplets names like rebel and turbo hahaha. Dewey then jumps at quackmore then gets caught by hortense who starts going grandma mode.
My head canon is that Hortense and Quackmore passed away when Donald and Della were little and Scrooge took them both in and raised them, hence why they were always with him when they were young and why their parents are never seen- or mentioned. They probably don’t get mentioned because it’s a painful subject for them.
I'm very curious to why we haven't seen Hortense for this long in the series, and assuming that it isn't because she stopped talking to Scrooge because he burned down a native African village (as he did in the Life & Times of Scrooge McDuck), my current head canon is that Hortense had a falling out with Scrooge after finding out he took Della and Donald to a dangerous mission and fought FOWL. It's her kids after all, she has the right to be furious. And if Della and Donald wanted to keep adventuring with Scrooge despite her wishes, then that would cause tensions between her and her children as well. Maybe she has stepped away from the family of adventuring ducks because she doesn't want to see anyone get hurt...? (Though I would literally pay to see her and her famously bad temper punch the lights out of some dude threatening her kids)
I love that the reason Donald and Della were sent to Scrooge is the same as Chuck Jones explanation for why Huey, Duey, and Luey were sent to live with Donald.

I always wonder what happened to Hortense. Maybe since she got married and had kids she didn’t spend as much time at the castle so it’s possible she didn’t receive the immortal enchantment which is why she’s the youngest sibling but looks the oldest. Keep in mind Scrooge is supposed to be 155 years old. Fergus and Downy are nearing or over 200. A lot of people raised emus in my Texas town during the 90s. At one point there was even a King of the Hill episode making fun of the failed investment. But I honestly wonder why it failed in the first place. Was it the big beef industry that shut it down? I never had a chance to try emu meat or eggs, and would love a chance to try it.
I had a thought and i don't like this idea. But what if after dropping Della and Donald with Scrooge, Hortense and her husband took off maybe because their were afraid of their own children after that firework prank.
Well, I think that Donald (and maybe Della) grew up in Grandma Duck's farm and with her and Quackmore. Hortense went back to Scotland after the final fight between her and Scrooge, which is why Donald has a better memory of her Grandma than her mom.
Do you think that Phantom Blot's partner, Pepper, could be related to Webby somehow? I say this because they seem pretty similar, especially during the fight scene, where they both were like... "Hi i'm Pepper" - "Hi i'm Webby"
Everthought they use ye ole' plot twist, where missing parents turned out to be evil, or Quackmore and Hortense may actually be part of F.O.W.L? It's a stretch, I know, but thoughts?
Confession time...I haven’t really been keeping up with DuckTales that much recently and one of the reasons for that is because I really don’t want to get too attached to the show only to have it (and/or the fanbase) end up disappointing me. I mean that’s sorta been the case with several animated shows for me as of late.... Voltron Legendary Defender Miraculous Ladybug Steven Universe Star Vs. the Forces of Evil...etc Heck even with shows that I have been watching religiously like Amphibia, Owl House and The Mandalorian I’m very wary about because I’m so scared of them (or again their fandoms) eventually letting me down....
I miss 3 months ( MAYBE even 4 tops) due to work kicking back up and I MISSED a WHOLE new channel revamp?!?!?! So, I assume it's the same Wotso videos, just for mature audiences???
My best guess is that Quackmore and Hortense went missing like Della but into an alternate dimension or were captured like Gladstone, also, I can already imagine Hortense being calm and kind making the triplets and Webby think her a sweet granny while della, Donald, and Scrooge are tense, she would be acting sweet having mellowed out while Quackmore would be grouchy until Steelbeak comes in and holds her hostage and hurts, let's say Della who was hiding her leg which fell off, Steelbeak would laugh as she got angrier before closing her eyes and opening them red like Huey's Duke eyes before telling Quackmore to hand her "The Broom" her children and brother start saying poor guy before she goes berserk on him before whacking him like a baseball, earning her the fear and respect of the triplets and webby.

After the destruction of the huntsclan could magical creatures be more open at least after a period of years. We don any seasons after American dragon second season. But the stitch anime that takes place in the same universe. We see the Yokie . Are common knowledge not really trying to hide and people are also more open minded to aliens. Jumba &Pleakly aren't wearing their wigs . Stitch is speaking. In complete sentences he didn't even speak in complete sentences with his family or other aliens. . And the fire Yokie kinda support the large shared universe theory
I like knowing more about clan McDuck, but frankly i want more to know about the triplets father, i mean, why he's not with Della and the kids? is he dead is a deadbeat dad or what?
If you look at a page with the McDuck Family Tree in a DuckTales 2017 book, it looks like the triplets are coming straight up out of Della's branch. So maybe it's like Anakin's mom (I know weird reference) where she just had Anakin.
Good episode. But why is Webby still so clueless how families work? I mean has she never got into an argument with her grandma? Did she ever say something out of anger but didn't mean? I don't see after being out in the world for at least a year she still doesn't understand how relationships work? Everyone gets into arguments and fights. It a natural and actually healthy thing. If you don't get angry you never work out the problems that aren't talked about. And again no family is perfect. We are humans. So again how come Webby doesn't understand people do fight but its not the end of the world? Let the fight run its course and everyone fine at the end. That's all you need to do its just let it run its course. Webby still has a lot to learn apparently But I do hope we see Hortense too. Nice video!
@jf k It be actually character development for her again to understand how the real world works. BTW do you think ANY of the characters have gone through ANY character development? Because from what I can tell they still haven't truly worked on their flaws or gone out of their comfort zones. That's not very good. You need grow, learn and make changes. And it's good for a show for the characters to mature and become better people. But I don't think I've really seen any of them actually go through that. Have you?
I think it's kind of interesting, but I'm not a huge fan of it, Maddie. I think it would kind of be an underwhelming reveal if Webby's mom was just a henchman.
@@IsaacCarlson how about the theory that she's webby's older sister? it would explain their similarities and the fact that pepper is a rookie. if pepper's in her early twenties it wouldn't be far fetched for her to be webby's sister and for them to be ten years apart in age 🤔🤔
The Ducktales reboot made Scrooge and his family in Castle McDuck immortal. I can understand why they did it, to accomodate his original timeline with the modern times, but was a coward move in my opinion. The death of his family in the comics is such dramatic and touching point. And i understand they want modern children to relate with the characters, but i would love if they keep the original timeline, Duckburg being a 1950's town.
@@stitchfire15 no because she left Castle McDuck. Scrooge left too, but he became immortal first so he put some runes in the family castle. Matilda is immortal it seems. She left but she lived in the Castle.
@@darthmaltodextrin1899 Yeah they did do that in the comics but here it wasn’t confirmed that Della and Donald put the firecracker under their fathers chair
There is not a Disney canon about comics, but only some element of world building that often are different from country to country. I make you an example: in Brazilian comics Mickey, Goofey, Big Bad Pete, Minnie, Chief O'hara live in Duckborg with Donald and the Duck Family, in Italian stories Mickey with his friends and enemies lives in Mousetown, another city (Topolinia, because yes! The Italian authors have created Mousetown).
Sure they might be “alive” but only because of a curse. It’s probably done so they don’t have to explain why all the McDucks ghosts aren’t around all of the time

I love how wholesome this family is
I would like more Gabby Mcstabberson and would be awesome to have an episode with her and Webby!
I thought donald was the only duck when I was young
I had a thought and i don't like this idea. But what if after dropping Della and Donald with Scrooge, Hortense and her husband took off maybe because their were afraid of their own children after that firework prank.
Or suffer a Disney Parents syndrome in which either they pass away or died tragically
I think pepper and webby are sisters cause there both childish
Everthought they use ye ole' plot twist, where missing parents turned out to be evil, or Quackmore and Hortense may actually be part of F.O.W.L?
It's a stretch, I know, but thoughts?
Can we talk about how incredibly sweet and out of charecter it is for scrooge to invest in her business even though he suspected it would fail.
It is very likely that they promised to help each other in business and he is just honoring his word.
Confession time...I haven’t really been keeping up with DuckTales that much recently and one of the reasons for that is because I really don’t want to get too attached to the show only to have it (and/or the fanbase) end up disappointing me. I mean that’s sorta been the case with several animated shows for me as of late....
Voltron Legendary Defender
Miraculous Ladybug
Steven Universe
Star Vs. the Forces of Evil...etc
Heck even with shows that I have been watching religiously like Amphibia, Owl House and The Mandalorian I’m very wary about because I’m so scared of them (or again their fandoms) eventually letting me down....
honestly same but so far ducktales is alright
I miss 3 months ( MAYBE even 4 tops) due to work kicking back up and I MISSED a WHOLE new channel revamp?!?!?! So, I assume it's the same Wotso videos, just for mature audiences???
I wanna see Scrooge's brother Gideon appear in Ducktales. Ewan McGregor as Gideon McDuck?
Gideon mcduck is non canon
4:06 What?! So Ludwig von Drake is Scrooge brother-in-law?
Donald was and guitar playing rebel. Now that's hilarious
Do You know why they introduced her as the youngest sister in the 2017 reboot?
I’m pretty sure Matilda was introduced as the younger sister -not necessarily there youngest
No wonder Donald has a big temper
If Scrooge, Matilda and their parents can live this long so can Hortense
The McDuck Sister are pretty awesome strong women 💪🏾
With both strengths and weaknesses 🤩
1:07 Where Hortense yelled at a Man to get women to vote 🗳
It was awesome seeing one of Scrooges sisters Matilda and I am going to PRAY that we see at least one episode with Hortense and Quackmore 🙏🏾🥺 I am not listening to those people who think she is dead NO I WANT TO DONALD AND DELLAS MOTHER
4:21 Where are you finding/did you find these artworks? They look wonderful.
They're from a few Don Rosa comics, there cool, check'em out!
Webby said Matilda was his youngest sister. Why is Lena only Magica's niece and not her daughter when Magica created her?
@jf k I mean, her being a McDuck expert, it's probably a writer's mistake
@jf k yup
Given the secrets keeping, I see who Dewy inherited that from if one looks back at S1
I think a fun video would be the intier time line of scrooge, like how webby was telling lena before they went to the secret vault. Dont know though it may take a while to make since hes so old lol.
Can We Just Mention That 2/3 Of The McDuck Siblings Are Doctor Who Actors?
Seriously, They Now Have David Tennant, Catherine Tate AND Michelle Gomez In This Show. I Need Alex Kingston And Then The Doctor Who Comedy Characters Are Complete!!
matilda is an icon and i love her
Well he built it with discount drewed stones.
My question is does Micky Exist in this new ducktales world and if so is he the biggest Adventure ever
Sir Issac you remind me of me High School teacher from years back. She also loved Disney as well and she was a sweet lass. Ironic how both your last name start with Car. x3
This series answers so many questions that generations of Disney fans were asking.
In complete sentences he didn't even speak in complete sentences with his family or other aliens. . And the fire Yokie kinda support the large shared universe theory
how is this DuckTales related? (just asking)
@@lusmiipangya-6013 I ask genderal Disney discussions
@@OzzyDrixClay yes but, again, is this McDuck related?
"Two hearts. And both of them yours."
@@lusmiipangya-6013 women don’t asexually reproduce....
@@zerotodona1495 I know, but this is a duck and fantasy universe where to me anything can happen
Wish we got to see more from Donald and Della's Dad's side
Webby still has a lot to learn apparently
But I do hope we see Hortense too.
Have you?
@jf k Has Dewey or Huey learned anything?
@jf k Good point. I still wish Dewey wasn't such an attenton seeker.
Hey Isaac! What is your opinion on the theory that Webby’s mother is possibly Pepper?
Well, The only evidence backing that up would be the similarity between their faces. but it would still be a cool theory!
@@IsaacCarlson I get it, not everyone’s cup of tea. Just thought it would be a fun theory to share!
@@emopeterparker7 just like Scrooge and Hortense!
Anyway you planning on doing any Christmas themed videos Isaac?
The Ducktales reboot made Scrooge and his family in Castle McDuck immortal. I can understand why they did it, to accomodate his original timeline with the modern times, but was a coward move in my opinion. The death of his family in the comics is such dramatic and touching point. And i understand they want modern children to relate with the characters, but i would love if they keep the original timeline, Duckburg being a 1950's town.
Is Hortense also immortal?
@@stitchfire15 no because she left Castle McDuck. Scrooge left too, but he became immortal first so he put some runes in the family castle. Matilda is immortal it seems. She left but she lived in the Castle.
It was never actually confirmed that Della and Donald put the firecracker under the chair
But I'm pretty sure that Huey, Dewey, and Louie did to their father in the early comics.
@@darthmaltodextrin1899 Yeah they did do that in the comics but here it wasn’t confirmed that Della and Donald put the firecracker under their fathers chair
Honestly, I don't know why they left Scrooge's parents alive in the new show, they could easily be ghosts like in the comics.
It’s probably done so they don’t have to explain why all the McDucks ghosts aren’t around all of the time
Just started watching duck tales again and damn I missed alot
great job getting to that many sub we all love you we are all your fans never give up on you dream sign your fans
