    I noticed that the French lyrics are hidden every now and then, so here they are
    Hope this was helpful!
    July 2024 edit: I am so sorry for how horrible some of these translations are

    I don’t know why everyone is being so negative, I think both the english and french version are great. I also like both the voice actors, they both fit really well and hit the notes just as perfectly.

      @@CrazyFanaticGamer of all the translations, this is the most like the original English as far as meaning. The only real difference was at the end Luisa asking Mirabel "What's it like to have no pressure?" jealous of it. But the rest is pretty dang close - in many cases word-for-word. She IS breaking in the English version, that's what the whole song is about, "I'm pretty sure I'm worthless if I don't somehow preserve this."

  • @painapple154

    I feel like the French version sounds like Luisa is putting herself under more pressure.
    In the English (and German) one it sounds like its more outwardly and here coming from inside.
    Both fit very well and people can relate to it.
    Beautiful

    Shocked at all the negative comments - this was my favorite non-English version. Singer sang it with the same attitude as the character, the syncopation with the syllables was great, and the lyrics accurately reflect the original language.

    In French this music is really magnificent in VO the lyrics sound much less pretty and say less pretty things For example in vf she says "let your big sister carry the point of your heart" already there is the rhyme in "oeur" and it's much prettier than in vo where she just says "I'm your big sister I'm more old "it's bogus And when she lifts the ground and says "under the appearance" in vo she says "under pressur/sous pression" it's much better to speak from the bottom of something whereas she just lifts the ground like a sheet like. a. veil which hides and which is removed by her and therefore specifies that all this is only an appearance She says "I'm nervous like a tightrope walker who only has one chance" in vo she says "going berzerk" berserk it's madness but not so well suited to the image of the tightrope walker and only one luck well it specifies that the error is not acceptable "I am a bulldozer, a real war machine" bulldozer and machine, a bulldozer is a machine and these two words, especially with war, relate to something really heavy and destructive, it will contrast with the rest of the story. music where she speaks on the contrary of not destroying but of maintaining because "woah too cool she is strong" we can say to ourselves. but she is above all there to precisely keep the pieces. This really beautiful song

      Nah, to me when she says "Give it to your sister, your sister's older/stronger/it doesn't hurt" it makes it sound like she's also repeating the expectations everyone has for her. Like, of course she can take it, she's the big sister, she's strong, it doesn't hurt her.

      @@mrsnatural2368 by precising in french she is the the big sister its enough "Let your BIG SISTER wear the weight of your heart" you know this is song so need style figure in text in littérature you dont talk like you do in orale normally and by saying "Let your big sister..." the spectator already understand what kind of rôle she play why doing stupid like in english

    It would seem I cannot do The Family Madrigal because of copyright, bots just seem to recognize the song no matter how hard I edit it, so the next video will take longer than expected.

    Je crois qu'il y a une petite erreur au niveau des paroles françaises à 01:58. Elle ne dit pas "pourquoi" mais "pourtant" (comme ça, ça rime avec "ignorant", "pensant"). Je suppose qu'en anglais, ça donnerait : "Yet, by ignoring the heavy weight of all these expectations"

    • @meowtheturtle
      @meowtheturtle  2 роки тому

      En recherchant les paroles, je trouvais plusieurs interpretations. Pourtant et pourquoi étant les principales, j'ai choisi de mettre pourquoi dans la vidéo, car c'est ce que j'entendais plus et ça faisait plus de sens, à mon avis. Mais, il est vrai que quand il en vient aux rimes, pourtant est plus logique.

    • @gael4275
      @gael4275 2 роки тому +1

      @@meowtheturtle D'accord. Perso, je trouve au contraire "pourtant" plus logique que "pourquoi" qui me semble un peu incongru. "Pourtant", je le comprend dans le sens : "Et pourtant, si j'essayais d'oublier cette pression, est-ce que ça suffirait ?", en gros.

      J'en suis pas sûr. Je toujours trouve la VO la plus formidable. Mais j'avoue que les traducteurs ont fait la version française meilleure que la version espagnole, allemande et l'italienne. Parfois je trouve la version française dans les films de Disney mieux que l'original (le bossu de Notre Dame, Robin Des Bois etc).
      La version française pour ce film est presque à égalité avec la version l'originale
      Bien joué
