First of all i like that you are doing it in a fast pace, so we can get a lil taste of the game you are showing and don’t have to skip anything if not really interested in one of them. Second: I am really surprised you haven’t mentioned one Deckbuilding Gamy by FFG, for me the number one is definitely LotR LCG. Such an intense deckbuilder where you really have to think what to build in your deck before starting your "Journey" and the theme is obviously one of the greatest books ever written haha. Thanks for your video, I just met some new games there.
I love LOTR LCG but I really consider it a deck construction type game where during gameplay you’re not adding to your deck or building it during gameplay, all that is done prior to play not during the game itself. I should have defined what I consider a deck builder but dropped the ball on that. Thanks for watching

I've never played For Glory, Slay the spire, or paperback adventures. (I do enjoy paperback and hardback and own both of them in their digital format, I also have the apps for both Aeon's end and baseball 2045, I'm ok with just owning the digital version of these. There's so many good games out there that boiling them down to 10 can be a tough thing. and of course tastes change as time goes by as well.

Deck building is probably my favorite mechanism so it's great to check out lists for other people who also really enjoy it. I've never played the Alien Legendary version. I put the link for Robert from Azure Death's Leaders solo variant play through in the description. It's quite good.
some games are better multihanded. For a long time I would only play LOTR LCG solo but then I gave two handed a try and wow does it make it so much better in my opinion. 3 handed would be difficult with limited table space.
@ No problem! Unique twist-you explore dungeons, fighting various baddies, who when defeated become cards you use in the future (hence the deck building element). It is great fun!
Very nice list! Do you think it’s worth to get rid of clank! for catacombs because of the solo mode. I just downloaded the app and realized that there is a solo mode via app for the original clank! aswell.
I still have original Clank!, Sunken treasures, the mummy's curse, and catacombs as well as acquisitions incorporated 2 (I gave the original one to my brother), I also play multiplayer so I've kept them all but you could replace the original with catacombs. It offers more variability when it comes to gameplay.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I get where you're coming from-it's can definitely be tough, especially if the dice rolls or card draws don’t go your way. A lot of my enjoyment comes from the nostalgia factor; growing up with the franchise definitely affects my opinion as I'm partial to the theming of the game.

I've only played the digital version of Aeon's end which doesn't get much play. No doubt the physical cards in hand are a different experience but the digital version hasn't enticed me enough to make the purchase.
The legacy edition is a great intro to the franchise. It’s actually very exciting especially when you get down to the wire and have to think carefully what to do. The digital version seems to feel very lacking to me and I dislike playing it. The opposite is true of Dune Imperium where the digital version is so awesome I hardly play the physical.
@@sologamingspotlight don't buy the computer version but the iPad version or Android tablet if you have that, or if your phone has a large enough screen. It's way more enjoyable as a mobile game using touch you can quickly play anywhere instead of having to sit in front of a computer and use a mouse.
I picked up Dune Imperium on Android when it was on sale a few weeks back. It was perfect for my air travel over the holidays. It also encouraged me to rewatch the two recent Dune movies, which I liked even more the second time. I also ordered the first Dune novels trilogy; had never read those. They arrive Wednesday. I almost bought DI Uprising, but will hold off a bit. The app is satisfying me.
Did the designers ever publish updated rules for GI Joe? I remember when this game came out and the rulebook was NOT well received. I never looked back. Now a few years later... more expansions... and a new, clearer, better rulebook? Re: Star Wars deck builder and the solo mode... no thanks.. too complicated. I'd like to see a list of your Top 10 deck building games that INCLUDE SOLO by default. This video was a big tease.... some of these game don't include solo modes. You have to hunt fan-made down files, rules, print extra material. Some require specific expansions for solo... ok that's better but still not a fan of having to buy a base game and expansion just to play a frigger solo game. And then there's game that require a friggen APP to play solo. No thanks.
I’m not sure about the GI Joe updated rules. I didn’t have any issue with them so I didn’t even think to check. The Star Wars game is the only one with the fan made rules and they’re not difficult to implement but I do get where you’re coming from with printing out a variant that isn’t included with the game. It gives me a star wars deckbuilder to play when I’m in the mood. Sorry about the games that require an expansion to play solo or Clank that has the app but they’re my favorite deck builders.
How is aventuria compared to mage knight? I’ve always wanted to try it but I could never convince myself to buy a starter. I don’t even know which one to get as a good entry point
They're not on the same level at all in my opinion when it comes to the feel of the game. Aventuria is dice driven, you have fun card play in it to get cards out in your play area but a lot of Aventuria is rolling dice which is nostalgic D&D for me. I enjoy the cardplay aspect in it don't get me wrong but it's nowhere near the crunchiness that comes with mageknight. It's a game I enjoy though. You have to get the core set. I am a tactile feel person though so if I had gotten the physical version of the game I'd probably have a stronger opinion on it but there's only so much income that can go towards gaming and sometimes you have to pick and choose your battles.

The Dire Wolf Game Room app lets you solo the original. Catacombs changes up the play a bit, but the original and expansions are still great!

Absolutely hated GI Joe DBG. Difficulty was way too high and unbalanced.

i've only played the digital version of slay the spire and Mistborn is too high priced on ebay for me to pickup but I definitely want to check it out.
