I went out of my way to find this game! It is AMAZING! To me, it feels like a solo, side mission.

Question around your use of Smoke Bomb. You played the card and turned invisible, but then immediately returned to hand. But the card has a persistent marker on it. Should it not have been placed in ACTIVE (above character card) till the next round? So if you attack next round, only then would it proc and get returned to hand
Yes, i should have left it out in the active area until after he attacked before bringing it back to my hand. It’s a persistent bonus and you can choose to end it at anytime as per the rules on page 18 of the rulebook.
Great vid. Only thing Iam not certain on is whether you can choose your initiative card after seeing the enemies? Or do you need to choose first before the enemy rolls the dice? Thanks!

Good group of videos for Shadows of Kilforth. I enjoy this game but it can be tough. I have also only played 7 or so games. In your epic final battle, you have two fate left over. Couldn't those have been used to add successes to the combat roll? Then at least it dies with you!
You can only use 1 fate per day :(

@@chrispatty8953 Awesome! Thank you! That's great to hear. It's on my shelf right now. I'm learning to play Dwellings of Eldervale currently so if I enjoy it I'll probably do some sort of video regarding it. Are you mainly a solo gamer? I tend to solo and group play once/week
This gives me hope. My Spellweaver just got annihilated on this scenario and I came to see what I did wrong. I went after the archer as well but the melee bandit got some good rolls and was on me way early. And I swear to God that little +0- dice is evil. (On a serious note, seems like it’s weighted poorly and I’m looking at a custom full size replacement)
Lol, that die is diabolical. Time and time again I get the - result when the miss result is available. I haven’t tried the spellweaver yet so I have no advice. I just started with the Mindthief. I’ll be taking this scenario on sometime this week.
I think I have to be more distant from the mobs, you were doing a good job limiting your damage and you healed. I went in blasting on the archer and a few early unlucky rolls for me and lucky for them is pretty much a guaranteed dead end. By the way very well done on the production, the opening with the story works great. Very easy to watch and viewers aren’t being subjected to you spending three minutes of video time per turn trying to decide which cards to play.

Thanks Mike! At the 17:16 it’s the black die that’s a 5. And yes on the tomb card you do get the result of the black die regardless if its a success. I’ve been playing that wrong. I went to back season 2 last night but my discover card isn’t accepted in I believe it said Quempin, France. I have to see if they accept visa sometime in the next 9 days before it ends because I do want to back it. Also thanks for the kind words!
Oh yeah my mistake on the Armory. Apologies. Visa should work. It works for me when backing American projects (I am from Europe) so it should work for you backing European projects like this. Hopefully.
I was able to back it with a Visa. I was originally gonna go with the leather armor pledge but ended up going chain mail.

17:16 - Yes you rolled 5, but you also rolled 6 so you should've take 3 feats. 21:31 - Success here is only for dice manipulation, but either way you get the result of the black die, which in that case was +1 food. Rulebook, Page 17. For example on the Trap cards (22:34) you have two different columns of outcomes for Failure and Success. But the symbol there is only the Star Die and not the Star Die with the +/-1. Great playthrough. Waiting for the continuation of the campaign. I never did a campaign myself yet so I am very interested how the campaign goes. Did you backed the Mini Rogue Season 2 that is up right now?

1:40 it's called Fudge/Fate dice and used several RPG systems. Usually sold in packs of 4 or 12.
Nice start, and I love your patient and clear explanations of the rules. Note: you could have gone north at 9:44 to Arid Ruins without losing an AP as you would have used your last AP to move there, so that would have had no effect. Also, during setup, did you reveal two night cards (or one if you are in easy mode) - you have to reveal a Night Card, ignore the effect, but turn the location into gloom. Can’t wait for the next episode!
