OMG I love Drum and Bugle Corps, I was in one many years ago; it never leaves you, It’s so exciting to be in one. I went from flag to rifle- hard work but well worth the experience. Thanks Tony for a Summer memory.
Generally I appreciate the Blue Devils for their musical prowess but can never really dig into their entire musical repertoire. This show is different. I love the music content. I am so excited to see this show progress throughout the season. THanks for sharing!

Ok… I listened to it again. It’s not a clean as it will be. Some of the runs are a bit sloppy and I can hear breaks in the sustained notes. By the time they get to finals this will be cleaned up and almost flawless. 👍🏼👍🏼
I have to hope that a lot of the show is placeholder material that will change significantly before the season ends. Why would they reuse the Incident in Jazz arrangement from 2010 but abruptly stop before the big climatic hit and awkwardly transition to something else with no resolution?
The show is called cut outs so I’m guessing they cut out right before the hit. Just like their uniforms, they are cut outs of previous years uniforms. So not only visually are they doing it but also with the music. Pretty clever imo.
I literally marched Boston and I love them but he's not wrong. At the moment this show is at a way higher performance level and the show is far more difficult than what Boston and Crown put out this year.
I just want something different from Blue Devils ya know? Even if it means not medaling i would just love for them to step out of their cookie cutter comfort zone and try some different that we haven’t yet seen or experienced by them. Just one year and I’ll shut up

BD, has been designing shows on a macro and micro level for a few years now. Which also means that the linear style of “drill” really isn’t the only way they express their style. BD is basically a troupe of modern dancers and marchers. Hardly “easy”. I personally love their show design.
@@rygregory Agreed. BD are the A students that don't need an A+ drill to boost their GPA. Their “weak areas” are still gonna be no lower than 3rd vs the other corps. They don’t move like kids in a corps they move around like professional dancers. They sound like they are playing in a recording studio. They’re just…overall consistent across the sections.
You don't even have to defend them with saying they have a different style. This drill is literally far harder than anything anyone else is marching this year. Nobody else is marching and playing this year if you watched their shows except for crown and yet crown has the easiest step sizes and forms I've seen in a while. The Blue Devils are literally running while playing.
