Aesthetically the hooks and their packaging are stunning! I would love to try them, but ai have arthritis in my knuckles so use a more cushioned hook. The shape looks promising however!

I only use Susan Bates crochet hooks, so these would be a wonderful set to have. Maybe you can talk my husband into getting me a set for Mother's Day?

Thank you for the review. I've been looking for an inline set with a handle suitable for pen hold crocheters. I think the Susan Bates with handles are made for knife hold crocheters. I had ordered a set online before I saw your review. Such a lovely set and I'm happy seeing a pen hold using them.
i also have the susan bates they are MORE big and nod handy.. the sharp corner is thinner and therefore has very little room to pick up stitches for overlay, for example. It glides better through the different types of yarn. BUT the part of the needle itself, without the handle, is very long and does not crochet smoothly
@@leomiekrijkenberg7534 Yes, I've made 3 Sholach overlay mosaic crochet blankets and a different "hook shape" would be easier for picking up stitches when making those. .... As an update on these Mellow hooks, mine arrived and while lovely, for ME with my "dry hands", the shiny wood handles are a bit slippery. I find myself constantly wetting my thumb and index finger so I don't have to grip so tightly. I love the looks of the Mellow hooks and will certainly find projects to use them on, but for speed and comfort I will use hooks with the "rubbery silicon like" handles so my dry hands can grip better. After crocheting over 50 years, I've learned to match hooks to the project and have a few types and brands to choose from. Inline shaped hooks were the ones I learned with all those years ago. Wow those sure are pretty hooks. I like that they are inline and have a wood handle. I learned pencil grip from my sister who had been taught to crochet by our grandmother. I have since changed to the knife grip because of arthritis. I also have gotten away from all-metal hooks for the same reason. I like the inline because it doesn't cause me to flex my wrist so much. (I was beginning to hear ominous crunching and cracking.)

Many UK shops do not sell to the states. Also, what would be the charge for shipping? I know I can get these from Amazon but I prefer to buy from small businesses.

I do ship to the USA and most of the world. The shipping is weight based so would depend on what you also put in your basket. That is so nice to want to support small businesses if you do decide to order from me I will really appreciate it! If you place the goods in your basket and follow the. Checkout you should see how much in £ before you pay then you can google to convert it. I will of course understand if it would be too much for you. The box is great but it does add to the weight of the package. I could take it out if that would be better but as I said the box is great 🤟🤟thank you 🤟

Are the sizes etched or just silkscreened on the shaft? Because if it's the latter I can see them rubbing off before too long.
