PSA: Prostate specific antigen. Thank you for being candid with your followers. We will be praying for you. The Ziebart treatment on the '73 appears to have done its job! As to all the pieces that others destroy while getting other parts is indeed a crime against automotivedom.

Hi Tony. Wondered where you have been. Thought you maybe went to some tropical island for the holidays to get out of the cold. Sorry you have been feeling bad and glad you are doing better. You sound good. Getting older just plain sucks. I speak from experience. People are like cars. When new and everything works all is great. Then they get old and things start to break and fall apart. And eventually you end up in the big junkyard. And finding a good doctor is like trying to find a good mechanic. Pretty much the same odds. What are you going to do? Wishing you the best for 2024!

It's a shame that 1973 Lincoln Mark VI with only 53,000 original miles was junked in the first place. People throw away things that are perfectly saveable in my honest opinion. I understand that we can't save them all but that car's interior, engine and accessories were amazing. Atleast Tony was able to save as many parts as he could off of them. And BTW, thanks for sharing your experience with your Prostrate as i know it can be really hard to open up about certain things. We're all glad that you're well.

Hey Tony. Good to see you back. Thanks for sharing your health struggles as it is something I am painfully aware of. Recent loss of my sister has had me depressed along with testicular issues and biopsy have really kept me down for the past few months. My biopsy was negative so that was great news. As for the Lincoln’s, I can’t believe how the vultures ripped apart that Mark III so quickly. That steel panel sunroof from the green Mark was awesome. I have been looking for an early steel panel unit like that for years. If you ever decide to sell it on, I will pay up for it. If you still have it that is…. Glad to know you are up and about again. Stay healthy brother! Mike

Thanks so much, Mike. I'm very sorry to hear about your sister. But I'm glad to hear of your negative diagnosis as well. Someone has spoken up for the metal panel sunroof, but it definitely needs work. I haven't looked into it yet, but he said he he can still use it for parts. If the weather straightens up and I get some time, I'd like to get it working. If he doesn't take it, I'll definitely let you know. I sure appreciate you all very much. 🙏

Tony - thank you for your story and videos. My brother Dan met you at the Greenfield Village Motor Muster this past Summer. I always had a PSA of around 1.0 and elevated once and went thru the biopsy - no fun. I tried to have a double hernia repair in Oct. 2022 and found a mass and could not do the robotic hernias from mid down. After a lot of testing I have follicular lymphoma - low grade slow moving and just finished (6) cycles on Chemo in HFH Detroit and (3) cycles of maintenance for up to 2 years. There is no cure but, treatments. Thank God it did not spread to my organs. I enjoy watching your shows and will keep you in my prayers for I hope all turns out well. So many other people are getting treatments also - I keep those people and all the doctors and nurses in my prayers. Keep up the great work! Take care!

Wow...that 73 Mark IV could have been saved if not for the title problem. Glad you got the engine and quite a few parts from it. The 75 looks like it came from the bottom of the Mississippi then sat outside to bake for 30 years. I doubt that switches or motors would have been worth saving. Too bad the vultures hit the 69 before you could get your list of items. They were total amateurs. I've owned three mark IVs and they are quiet luxurious cars. I had a 69 Mark II for only a few months but it had tremendous power with the unsmogged high compression 460. I wish you could have stripped the 69.

    • @tonyscarcare5657

Yeah, the green 73 is such a letdown. I'm so upset that I wasn't able to get the rest of the stuff I wanted off of it. And I can't believe they sat that 69 out there before I got back the next day. It's ridiculous the way they destroyed those armrests. It was the yard driver who ruined the rocker moldings. There's nothing we can do about it now.

I'm afraid you're going to have to remove the instrument cluster. I have a feeling it just not making a connection where it plugs into the back of the cluster. You will need to test for power on the light blue/red wire. If it has power, then it's the connection on the circuit board on the back of the cluster. I hope this helps. Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Much appreciated!

As for the 1975 Mark IV. Must be a pre April model, as is has the rear seat windows powered.
Any change of getting hands on the small crome pieces on top of the front fenders between the dors and the hood?
I had them, but my mechanic misplaced them, when he restored my 1975 Mark IV.

Hi Tony, Found your channel via a link on a Lincoln page on facebook, That whole Mark III interior was worth saving!..Fe'ing monkeys pulled those parts off that Mark III...and i hope they read this, I'll bet those clowns couldn't even peel a banana without smashing it in their hands...... Too bad the titles were killed off already. wish i had some extra money to buy that interior, but times are tough right now...Enjoyed your video and i've subscribed

Thanks! He didn't let me know until it was too late. He should have had them shipped to his house, but there's nothing we can do about it now. After I got sick and wasn't able to go back, I knew they would be completely destroyed, so I just had to block it out.

Too bad he didn't inform you of the disposal of the Mark's, I'd have loved to try and save that 69 Mark!, i actually have 2 69's in that color, one with a black interior and the other with Gold nugget seats,
I've been like you, i was out of action since about June last year, i had a severe case of sciatic nerve damage from a bad disc in my back, I've only just started getting back on my YT channel and garage

Probably a strain of COVID. My uncle had the same thing. A lot of coughing. I found out I had an enlarged prostate when I got a UTI and landed in the hospital. Quite serious. Dr put me on Flowmax and Finasteride. 5 yrs with no problem. My problem is I have a 3 lobe prostate. I tell my Urolgist that is an exit only back there. He laughs and says bend over. My uncle had 1 biopsy and refuses to do another one. Take care.

You don't have to take the medication. There are two very good options out there to improve your quality of life and sleep. I got rezum therapy. There is even less evasive. Prosthetic artery imbilization. Thank you for watching!

@@tonyscarcare5657 Yeah those meds really mess with your sex drive. I hadn't heard of Rezum. I'll research that. Uro-Lift can't be done because of the 3rd prostate lobe. When I researched artery imbolization Northwestern Hospital was the only close place doing that. My urologist said you still have to have a catheter in for that for a while. I have a request into Mayo's Clinic to be seen for a CSF leak or high spinal fluid pressure. I heard they have a very good urological dept.

The Mark III is an early 1969 (maybe sold during the 1968 model year) because it does not have head restraints.

    • @tonyscarcare5657
      @tonyscarcare5657  8 місяців тому

Mid year 1968. Not sure if the earliest cars were titled as 68s or 69s.

I’ve seen some full size 69 Fords without head restraints. I do not believe they were legally required until January 1, 1969.

    • @michaelwitas9482

I did some online research and it appears that early '69's (which are informally referred to as 68-1/2's) have a standard clock vs a Cartier clock. And the door locks are vacuum operated instead of electrically operated, as is also true for the trunk release. And, the seat upholstery on early models may have embroidery which the "true" 1969's do not. Cloth seats were apparently only available on the early models. And, there is an amber strip on the front turn signal light added for '69. Of course its possible that some of these changes could have been running changes.@@tonyscarcare5657

Im currently restoring a 1977 Mark V , A dark green and jade interior combo, the interior it's in excellent condition everything works, with power moonroof and all the rest of the usual Lincoln option including the Automatic head light dimmer ect, the car was badly Rusted around the back window and required extensive body work to restore it and it also had a botched paint job back in probably the 1980's, where some of the paint had peeled back, , currently repainting the entire car with the Vinyl Top deleted, repainting the Car Bright white, as everyone who seen the original dark green, hated the color..lol but the interior will remain all original as its in excellent condition!. Have you heard of many other people restoring a mark 5, or is it just me?, Granted taking the entire interior apart replacing all the dash lights, fixing lubricating vacuum modulators and automatic climate control gear from the 1970's is something to behold and may not be everyones cup of tea..lol also the wood dash was peeled off and has been painfully repainted to as new again, Cameros and Mustangs are EASY compared to these Expensive Land Yachts, But to me these cars are still the best in style, technology, and Ride, But the interior is not all that big surprisinly , even compared to a 1980's Town car, which i also own, a 1988 Cartier with 265,000 kms on it, still looks and runs like new due to above average maintenance and care.... Thanks for the awesome Content Tony!!!! keep it up!
