Very cool concept! The BMW boxer DNA is easy to notice. Silence is a big part of the electric bike experience so nice to hear the birds at the beginning. Hope production versions are close!

Very interesting. On the one hand I think it looks quite bulky - on the other hand I'm digging those visual cues, especially the "side fins" that evoke the boxer engines.

Hey, they actually put the single sided swingarm on the better side lol. I own an R9t Scrambler, and I hate that it's on the kickstand side where you can't really see it because it's leaned over. Plus the exhaust is on that side too.
I've ridden a Zero DSR for three years. Build a dual sport, GS equivalent for touring, and I'm definitely interested. Good move including DC charging. Will make all the difference to bring charging time down to mere minutes. Don't make it too weird-looking though, please.

Yes very nice....just get on and build it....tired of waiting. I have an i3 which is great fun. But for a bike it needs a decent range because when you are charging it away from home you can't exactly sit on it having a coffee. So 200 mile real range x 20 minutes to charge. 70 mile range and 90 minutes to charge just won't cut it. It also needs to make some noise and I still like gears, so some kind of quickshifter. Do that and my 2016 GSA is retired.

The posture definitely looks uncomfortable, its so high and forward leaned...like if the rider breaks hard he would fly ahead of the bike!

What are the things on the side for? Just design elements or engine cooling ducks/fans but then why are they so detached from the whole thing, this doesn't make any sense...
Looks like a cooler for engine. Or maybe some sensors? We cant tell yet.

I hope this is only a technology demonstrator since this kind of designer motorcycles serves no practical purpose at all. I hope BMW Motorrad learned from its mistakes on the C-Evolution scooter (J-1771 plug? and 1 kW/hr. AC/DC converter?) and has a close look at the industry benchmark since 2014: the Energica Ego and Eva, CCS DC quick charge capable sports- and roadster motorcycles. I am quite convinced BMW Motorrad can deliver a 'GT' or 'RT' type electrical motorcycle today. Lets do it!

Not for me, thank god i have enjoyed the golden age of combustion engine motorcycles for over 44 years and still doing so. If i want to hear a sound like that i would rather operate an electric drill.
