- Netflix Irish Wish Movie Review - Lindsay Lohan is back (again) in a brand new Netflix original movie called Irish Wish. A film so bad, it makes Hallmark movies look like Oppenheimer. Irish Wish comes out just in time for St. Patrick's Day but if you found yourself watching this over the weekend; I pity what your life has become. I kinda pity Lindsay Lohan too for starring in these recent movies. Here are my thoughts on Irish Wish!

I actually found out about this movie from an insane Vulture article that claimed the movie was some conservative propaganda film trying to shill AI and cryptocurrency.

Netflix monthly premium goes up and the quality of the shows\movies goes down and yet they are still in business.
I couldn’t even finish this movie. So much lame. The ordering toilet paper? Her scarf getting caught in the cab. Her clothing style change when she awoke in the wish. Her kicking her fiancé in bed walking up next to him. Why was she reading the book she wrote, and carrying it with her in her bag? Ugh and so much more. So much why why why…
Her Christmas movie that came out a few months ago was pretty bad too. I didn't even finish watching it. It was definitely Hallmark Channel quality. Don't even get me started on the writing. For that reason I didn't even bother watching this one. She seems to be on a holiday movie binge.
I hate to admit i have a soft spot for cheesy Hallmark type romantic movies. I'm also happy to see Lindsey Lohan back again. She was a big deal back in the day.
But i do understand these movies are bad on an objective scale. lol
My favorite part of the movie is how she got her wish but doesn't know what is going on or what to do about it. My second favorite part is the girl boss moment where she tells him off for her mistake of working with him for so long. Yes, he is a jerk (but not enough of a jerk for her friend to marry) but she didn't leave and that's somehow his fault?

Lindsay Lohan is hot to look at, but I didn't even want to bother wasting my time giving this a see. Skip it.
This was terrible. But I don't fault the plot... that could have been good. It was the poor execution. You wonder if the person who made this knows anything about making a movie. It was so strained and had no characterization. A.I. For sure.

Only Lindsay Lohan has the gull to pull one like this. I wish Hollywood/Netflix threw us a curved ball and instead did something unexpected like two Olsen Twins trying for a comeback for everyone's hearty laughs, that'd be nice.
My youngest sisters used to collect every movie VHS and DVD tapes of theirs, some people would unironically celebrate the Olsen twins' attempt at getting back into the spotlight. I would watch that trainwreck just because sometimes you gotta watch a poorly made movie and movie plot to feel good about other media you read/watch.
Your review of the movie brought so much more joy to me than the 20 something minutes of the actual movie I just watched and stopped watching 😂

Sounds like a mix of Freaky Friday, the Jennifer Gardner movie where she wishes she could be 30, and the Sandra Bullock/Ryan Reynolds movie where Sandra Bullock doesn't want to be deported to Canada so she pretends she's going to marry Ryan Reynolds, her editing assistant who doesn't wanna lose his career. But I'd rather watch all of those three movies instead, separately.
Lindsay Lohan actually did three movies with some form of swaps before: The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday and Just My Luck.

You just get the mid-roll banner ad option after 8 minutes. Creating content on UA-cam is like dancing for dollars on the side of the road, until you hit certain viewership marks obviously.
Typically 1k views on a video in 24 hours = $10 - $15 but then UA-cam takes it's 45% cut. The first few days are typically the best for revenue since subscribers are watching.
