No joke, Tim Curry played a villain in almost every cartoon I watched growing up, and all of them were really good. The guy is a legend, and that's a fact.
I don't know about "misused", he has played many engrossing and lovable villains in his day. He was the only reason I continued watching Criminal Minds after Season 5. The only person that could do a villain better would be Robert Englund.
I wish I had enough money for that Fanmio thing that happened with him a while back, but unfortunately the least expensive package was like $100 and at that moment in time I couldn't justify the price. :(

Brought up my kids to love it also!! All his other movies...special, but R.H.P.S. is still my favorite!! I'd love to meet him too.

Another wonderful example of his legend status is that, in just a few months between `97 and '98, he went from playing the anti-love villain trying to break apart the Beauty and the Beast to playing his OWN Beast, who, unlike Adam, was kind and gracious to the Beauty from the beginning. He even one-ups Disney by saying to her "I invite you here, not as a guest, but as an equal." I repeat, LEGEND. :D
