Thanks for watching my review of the Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC. Its a huge, expensive card, that delivers some top-tier gaming performance and offers a few features that cheaper cards are missing.
Thank you for watching! - Наука та технологія
Good review! I was lucky enough to be able to grab one of these today at my local Microcenter and it is an absolute unit. I have a 4k/120hz screen and even with a 3090, I had to compromise and run custom resolutions under 4K in a lot of games to get a consistent 120 fps, but not with this. It's nuts how fast these cards are getting.
I just want to say thank you thank you for a super clean and straight to the point review. I recently was able to snag a 4090 exactly like yours! Cant wait to game on 4k
I'm amazed that you are able to get these things ! Great job Sean 👏
Thanks Stephen! I typically have bad luck (my wife teases me about it when we go to a casino) but somehow I don’t do too bad with electronics launches. I guess I’ll take what a can get!
Very well done and informative video. I plan to cop this 4090 really soon.
One thing that never seems to get mentioned when comparing the Founders Edition to 3rd party is the warranty. FE - 1yr, Gigabyte - 4yrs. When you’re spending that kind of money……..
ts 3 yrs

Thanks for the vid, thinking about getting one of these and this was helpful.
I"m not really a RGB guy, but honestly, the RGB at the start, looks dope.
Great review, thanks Sean!
Very nice review, thanks! I hope to get one RTX 4090 gaming oc or Asus TUF in october.
Hey man great review. Im thinking of trading my Asus TUF in for this one because mine has coil whine? I hear the Gigabytes have no coil whine, you said its not there or just slightly?
2 questions
do you run in oc bios or quiet?
what is the hottest you seen your gpu temps go?
I also have the same model and paired with a 12700K. For the most part, the 12700K is more than sufficient. I now have a 13900K and notice a small difference only when I actually pay attention to the numbers. But when I turn off the stats, the gaming experience is identical. Buttery smooth and visually pleasing.
I have the same mobo and my Zotac 4090 is not the best looking in a white case either. Nice review, good talking points and I like your presentation! I will take notes for my reviews lol. Forza Horizon, Red Dead 2, Cyberpunk and the port Royal benchmarks are similar to my results with the Zotac 4090.
Having said that I want to compliment you on the Manji figure you have on the shelf. Blade of the Immortal is a fantastic manga and its cool to see another fan in the wild lol.
If you don't mind can you mention the specs of the pc on that desk behind...all the parts used i mean?? Also the monitor
Great video, that background music is fantastic, what is it?
I’m wondering if I got a bad unit your rgb looks much brighter than mine I have mine mounted vertically and it’s so dim even at 100% compared to my case fans
A video on the cable you used to connect gpu to psu would be interesting
The cooler is amazing. I can't get it hot even with a pretty good overclock. Got a 26,252 in Port Royal
Is it noisy?
Can you report how hot the vrm junction temperature are on this card while gaming?
Hello dear Sir! Thanks for this video! I have a problem. Can you tell me please, will I be able to install this video card freely into an Lian Li O11 Dynamic ROG XL-W case, if I use the native PSU cables from be quiet! Straight Power 12 1200W? I want to mount this video card horizontally
I have a question how can you get your gpu not too hit 70c my evga 3080 hits 72 to 74c at 144fps and sometimes when it’s good it’s at 68c. I’m looking your video and that card is barely going over 65c
thanks Josh
How long is the power supply cord? I am mounting vertically.
Good straught forward zero BS review. I have this card and during thr 4090 launch beggers couldnt be choosers, you got what you could get and by any means. But im very happy with mine. Ive not even bothered to overclock it as really it just does what it needs to do with minimal hassle. If i ever hit a lack of performance (hard to imagine) ill maybe give it a go. I like the stable frametime of running a card at stock clock speed vs right on the edge and the occasional stutter. Cheers
really nice that you filmed your case so much... 3x times. I wanted to see how the card and rgb looks like in real in a case. amazing. I really like it. good videos, nice card, nice informations. and only 60 degree for you mostly. very good result/airflow. maybe add some coil whine infos and noise about fans too.
I mounted mine vertically so I could enjoy the RGB lights on the fans. I have a monster case so it doesn’t affect temperatures.
Yep! .. I was present during NewEgg's online release and for probably the same reasons ended up with this GPU. I saw the ASUS ROG RTX 4090 get pre-sold and replaced with a ~$3,200 third-party and I saw the Founders Edition on Best Buy instantly switch from unavailable to sold out .. 100% Bots.
I still have it sitting in a box. I'm waiting on EK to ship their liquid cooling blocks sometime in the next two three weeks. It's going to end up in a $11K+ system including a $2K allowance for the new 240Hz 45-in OLEDs based on LG's new panels.
I'm upgrading from an i7-12700K, EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra, Alienware 175Hz OLED, etc CPU-Z 9MM3CZ
However, probably today or tomorrow I'll put together that i9-13900K, Gigabyte RTX 4090 OC so I can get some burn-in time and make certain everything runs. I've been kind of holding off trying to get an ATX 3.0 PSU for example the Loki 1200W, but it looks like I'm going to be SOL. I have a Thor 1200W with the newer 16 pin from CableMod.
thanks just bought mine for 1600!
yeah good video. On Cyberpunk i ran on 4K ultra the fans of my 4090 did not even spin up. absolute optimazation goin on in the software. sheesh.
Seems like the bulk of 4090s at launch were gaming oc’s and msi trio’s and maybe some zotac cards and asus tuf not many strix, aorus masters, or msi surprims. I missed out at launch but i was there online soon as it went live and still missed out. Not sure if i should get a 4090 still scared about the power plug and thinking of getting a 7900xtx, 7950x and motherboard. But im running a 5950x which I switched to 5800x3d and a ftw3 3080ti now. All i know is the 4080 way overpriced might as well get a 4090 and still want to see more benchmarks of the xtx. If it can come within 15% of the 4090 it will be a great buy but ray tracing performance is lacking.
Hi Sean, can you share your ICUE settings you used in this video?
It's probably too complicated to put in a comment, but I'm stacking multiple lighting effects on top of a solid color effect
Where did you get the cable? I'm trying to find a cable for my Gigabyte RTX 4090 that won't combust like the others.
It came with the power supply, it’s a new ATX 3.0 PSU. I put a link to it in the description 👍
@@TechWithSean Ah ok. Thanks!
I am planing to make a review on my PC channel about my corsair 4000d black can i use your footage of 4090 in your 4000d case as a reference i cant buy a 4090 right now :(
No problem, just use a short clip and give me credit in your video.
@@TechWithSean Thanks bro i really got a wide smile on my face when i saw 4000d can be fit this 4090 easliy i was worried for the future purchase of the 4090 gigabyte gaming OC.
What’s a good case for this card I have the H7 flow currently
I’m using a Corsair 4000D Airflow and it has been good so far
Paired mine with a 5800X3D to limit any bottleneck, did not dissapoint. Also using a Corsair 1000W PSU with their 12VHPWR cable. Runs very quiet with no coil whine.
bad idea, should've waited for the 7000 series x3d chips with the am5 motherboard. When you want to upgrade you're going to have to purchase a new motherboard, mobo, and ddr5. 5800x3d still slightly bottlenecks the 4090 from my knowledge
@@grinicide no point waiting it's the best am4 gaming CPU released. Ryzen 7000 runs way too hot and am5 boards and ddr5 are way too expensive. I won't be needing an upgrade in a few years until GPUs are PCI 5.
@@ricks_toys the 7950x3d actually has a 50 watt lower tdp than the 7950x and runs the same if not faster (tdp is the same as the 5800x3d) and better architecture meaning it should run cooler. And am5 motherboards are going to be supported for a while so when you upgrade you're spending a ton of money regardless (you will need am5/newest intel motherboards, ram, etc) because am4 is at the end of the road when and so is intels current motherboard platform.
@@grinicide Manufacturer tdp means nothing nowadays but anyway who cares at the end of the day, as long as I'm getting 144+ fps on 1440p or 4k thats all that matters. Most of the games I play are GPU limited, the CPU gets nowhere near 50% utilization.
@ricks_toys thinking about a 5800x3d, do you have an update?
Yeah I was very disappointed they didn't at least give us 2 hdmi ports I would have to buy the strip card to get that
I got lucky and was able to order it from Newegg $1709, sold and ship by Newegg
Forget the gpu. Nice shirt 👍
Great video, although 8k is 2 times 4k, it is infact 4 times 4k. Easy mistake to make though.
Depends. It’s 2x by the numbers (2160 to 4320), 4x by pixel count. Same thing either way you phrase it, though.
On at least some of their 4090s, gigabyte seems to have flashed the oc bios to silent mode, and the silent mode bios on occasion mode people noticed that silent was faster, and then when they tired to update their bios ot wouldn't flash. They had to flash the opposite bios folder.
That's as big and heavy as my laptop almost
Can you link the 12 pen high power cable where I can buy it
It comes with the power supply. Newer ATX 3.0 PSUs have the 12 pin connector on them and the cable has the same connector on both sides.
Okay cool thank you
Better than stock with only 10 fps،
But it is very cool
Geezus Christ it's huge.
thats what she said
Jesus Christ.... a BFG 8800 GTS. That takes me back! Crysis!!!!
I only had a 9800GT back then. It really put the “cry” in Crysis 😂 😭
hi, how's the memory temperatures?
Very good, usually in the mid 60s.
@@TechWithSean Can i ask... if the fan shroud is removed, what will the dimensions be like? I'm trying to see if this will fit into an ITX case.
Even at 2000$ this card is a good buy . The performance ... nothing like it..👍
founders edition is non existent in canada, and gigabyte is the cheapest after that, so i ended up with this card.
Gigabyte never had an premium looking gpu imo. Always disliked the amount of plastic that they use but their cooling is always top notch.
Any coil whine on this card?
I haven’t heard anything on my gigabyte gaming oc. Although from what I read it’s kind of a silicone lottery thing.
Not on mine
I would recommended no one to get the new 50 series cards in september because the only small improvement is ray tracing and ray tracing is still another generation away
I've got the same GPU and my core clock settles at 2730mhz. There's a guy on UA-cam who's GPU out the box runs at 2850mhz. I always loose the silicone lottery.
I have this GPU. I am using EVGA Precision X1 Software.
I set the power slider to 133. The Core Clock to 190. The memory to 1450.
It can reach 3030mhz. It also stays at 3030mhz when I turn on the "Boost Clock" button in the bottom right corner of the software.
I have no overclocking experience. I just copied what JayzTwoCents did on his ROG STRIX 4090 video.
I have no idea if I am doing this right or hurting my card, lol.
Try it out and let me know what you get!
Thanks!
@@DontBeAWhoreAnymoreJesusIsHere You shouldn't copy someone else OC settings as all GPU'S are different and the Strix card will undoubtedly have better components. I'm not bothered about OC this GPU as it's really not necessary. I'm also not wanting to put to much power through the 12vhpwr adapter as they've been melting. You should watch an OC guide if you've never done it before, you go up in small increments until the card becomes unstable and then dial it back. Your card will be sucking some juice, that's for sure, how many watts are you pulling? Have you adjusted the power limit as these cards can pull upto 600w and if you've accidentally bent the pins in your adapter you could cause a fire.
@@originalityisdead.9513 Yes, I do not know what I am doing. lol
I really want the STRIX so I just do not need to OC myself.
I have seen upto 580w when playing MultiPlayer.
@@DontBeAWhoreAnymoreJesusIsHere You don't need to OC at all. The 4090 is capable of running any game at max settings no problem.
@@originalityisdead.9513 Cool,
thanks for your advice!
I am gonna adjust the software so I do not hurt my card! 👍🏻
It would have been great to see the results of the most played game in the world Fortnite
Why would anyone overclock the 4090 isn’t 40% increase over last gen good enough? Jesus Christ.
I typically run my GPUs undervolted for daily use, but a lot of folks see not overclocking as leaving performance on the table that you paid for.
all new nvidia where made by bbc lol
I bought this gigabyte card at Best Buy. 4 days later my monitor started flickering rainbow colors and would not stop. Also the GB 4090 is made like cheap crap. It's cheap and janky looking and not made very sturdy. It seemed like it was overheating really bad I will never buy another gigabyte video card again also their RMA process is complete ass.
which model yuh had...
how's gigabyte 4070 ti gaming aero
just hear watching ppl qq about the aesthetics not matching smh while refreshing sites for used gtx 970s to come down under 100 with shipping included to play the latest and greatest games and watch in game chat of ppl complaining about why they cant get 200fps at 8k ultra settings
i was like "I hope this footlong ass gpu fits in my case" only to find out we have the same case but mines black lol
