Definitely want more. I have a dozen whopper ploppers but I bought a 5 pack on Amazon for about 15-20 bucks. Definitely gotta use lighter tackle or just back your drag off if you're using heavier line with baitcasters or they'll break. Don't ask how I know.

I bought a 5 pack of those propers on Amazon for $20. When I got them, two of the tales were the wrong colors (not matching body). I went a week long trip with the family, put two in trees (on me), but the perch style was A CHAMP. Great Action, great sound. Got tones of blow ups, and landed by Summer PB with a sold 3lber. Worth every penny!
Each of those fish was so embarrassed to be caught by that lure!!!! LOL 😂😂👍👍

I have the same ploppers, caught multiple bass on em, few pike and they haven't broke yet. Knock on wood but aside from the cheap price, they're decent

Where you fished on this video I use to fish in my teens and early 20’s when I lived in Columbus (long time ago). I’m probably the same age as your pops. My son and and I enjoy your videos. Hey bro! I found a sight that sells high end lure blanks and I ordered quite a few different ones including some whopper ploppers. I build high end plastic models in the off season and airbrush them to keep my mind and hands busy a key to fight the PTSD. I’m going to see if I can do some fire crazy paint jobs on them to whack some giant Sally’s! If they turn out halfway decent I’ll send ya one. Hoping they are good enough to sell on the ol eBay. You crack me up! You need some merch w some of those crazy sayings!!! 😂😂😂

Much mcluvin the video! Got a tip for all the whopper plopper style baits that can help. I put a small O-ring and a barrel swivel on the front to keep it from "torpedoing". I have the original Whopper Plopper, Ozark Trail ploppers (Walmart brand) and the Berkley Choppo. Give the Berkley a try! It has a deeper cut tail rotor blade and causes a heavier thumping sound. I usually use them right before the sun comes up or at night. Caught a couple really good ones! Hope this helps and wish you the BEST! (P.S. Just a crazy challenge for you to try that I tried and failed ....Buy a bag of red Twizzlers and wacky rig, texas rig...see what the candy can catch!)
Whopper plopper my fav. Lure and I've never fished with one. Lol. I was bank fishing with a buzz bait yesterday catching a few and had somebody else fishing on the lake with a plopper and he was catching them left and right. Gotta get me some for sure

I've been using this whopper plopper for a couple years now and I rate it as being one of the best I've used. The River2Sea is great but is it worth it compared to this lure when you consider the price difference? No way, I'll stick with the cheap option!

You're talking about a small fish bringing you joy, I caught a half pound bass from my City lake and couldn't of been happier. I got skunked in that lake for nearly 3 years and finally caught one on the googan popper

I bought a pack of these, i like them alot. they work well and if you lose it or break it off, you definitely don't feel horrible about it. But you definitely paid 5 bucks for that lure cause of shipping. Technically not a penny lure. a 5 pack can run about 11 bucks with prime shipping.. worth having, and maybe if you got kids letting them beat on the cheap lures

I have 4 of these and 2 of the real whopper plopper and my cheap ones are called the "cheater baits" they work and have never broke and I've caught hundreds of fish. Mine is so scratched and beat up but just makes it work better lol. 100% stand behind these cheap ones.

They are cheap, tails fall off ,but I've caught a dozen large mouth,and missed probably 4 ,they aren't to bad if you don't care losing them.Up in Canada on Amazon on those lures,cheesy,low class imitation, but still works

Just a heads up last year I ordered these. Lose a 4.9lbs bass on one bc rear split ring stretched out. I only know bc it was my small farm pond and I Caught the bass the next morning with the hook in it still. Still have the pics lol

I’m from Carrabelle which is in Franklin County. I’ve been living up in Seattle area since 1989 when Navy transferred me up here. Seeing your videos, FishingwithNorm, LoJo’s videos makes me home sick for southern fishing.
I have those same lures. They suck because the entire lure spins instead of just the tail. I bought a 3 pack directly from the company that makes them. They do catch fish though.
