That just might have been the best inbound taxi I've ever seen....sort of a moving observation deck....and a perfect time of day to see all of lights on the airport and the aircraft. This is one of my favorites. Well done.
Great fly! Have you heard Hawaiian, American, Southwest, and Alaska were temporary added their route in Maui to let people evacuate and the death toll was the highest at 96 so far with more to be expected since Camp Fire (2018) in California which killed 85 people?
WOWOWOWOWOW!!!!! GREAT views taking off!! Goode views of the BC coastline. Looks like that might have been the Bella Coola area. Very good view of Penn Cove coming into SEA. They're famous for their mussels and Coupeville is the driest place on Whidbey Island. Good views of the Olympics. Good view of Keystone. One of these days, you should hike along the beach from Keystone up to Partridge Point, about 6 miles of wilderness beach. From there, you can walk 2 miles over to Highway 20 and catch the Island Transit bus back down to Keystone. Island Transit is free because they believe that charging busfare would be contrary to their mission of providing public bus service in a rural area. Good view of Freeland. That's where they build ships in this area. Good view of the Hood Canal Bridge, Marrowstone and Indian Islands. Good view of Mukilteo, Paine Field and Highway 99. Good view of Alderwood Mall and all of the shopping centers surrounding it. Good view of Canyon Park. That's our equivalent of Silicon Valley. Good view of Totem Lake. Good view of Juanita Bay and OO Denny Park (good swimming place). OO Denny also has the tallest tree in King County, at over 250 feet, but after a recent big storm, part of it got taken off. Good view of Bellevue and Medina. Yes, that's Bill Gates' house you saw there. Also Jeff Bezos'. They're practically neighbors, Good view of Mercer Island and Seward Park. Just over a week ago, they had the hydroplane boat races on the lake here. Anyhow, I always feel a little jet lagged coming back down here from AK. Time for me to rest up and watch General Hospital. After that, I'm going to go swim in the Sound to cool off on our hot August week. This will REALLY dry up my front lawn! I swear, it's going to spontaneously combust any second now.

Back in 2020, the daytime soaps literally ran out of episodes to air because of the pandemic. Well, anyhow, it's 85 in Seattle, almost 100 in Portland right now, time for me to go swimming.
@@sla31 II did a 35-minute swim in the Sound this afternoon, the perfect place to be on a hot August afternoon. It's 82 here now, but down in PDX, it got up to 108, and unlike up here, there's NO place to go swimming to cool off.
Sadly, no. I fly a lot, and if I gave all of my business to a single airline, I would easily hit that level of status. However, because i fly so many different airlines, so things don’t get boring on the channel, I end up with a low level status on pretty much everyone haha. I have gold on United, and MVP gold on Alaska. Which gives me Star Alliance gold, and Oneworld sapphire. I also have a-list on Southwest, and Pualani gold on Hawaiian. I also have silver on Delta and 50K on Frontier. But I am losing both of those at the end of this year. I have not flown either of them enough to keep any sort of status. I also have Platinum on American, but I used this whole year to basically change my loyalties from American to Alaska. Because I get the same benefits on each airline because of Oneworld. And Alaska is a way better airline than American nowadays.

That's actually not the longest I've taken. At least not time wise. Because of the winds being so much stronger on the day I took it, my MCOHNL is my longest flight time wise. I think BOS-HNL is my longest flight distance wise.
