I have found the snow in Utah to be quite a bit heavier, grabby, and more difficult to maneuver in than Colorado snow. Utah (at least Little Cottonwood) definitely gets a lot of God's cocaine ❄️ but I prefer the cold smoke we get in Colorado. Alta and the Bird are super fun! Enjoy your trip! All depends on the temps, LCC has amazing airy fluff often when the temps are low enough but when it hits high twenties or otherwise close to the freezing point it will be thicker. I’ve never heard anybody state that their general impression was LCC snow was heavier and grabbier than CO snow. Maybe if you were talking about Snowbasin, which is close-ish but at a lower elevation. You likely just had unfortunate timing on your trip to LCC.

This snow was kind of like sugar tho, it might be the best snow I’ve ever skiied! I do love my CB hardpack and rocks tho ❤️❤️

I’m guessing he was near Stone Crusher and the end of that run he ended up at the bottom of Lower Ruster. Could be wrong though.
