I've been studying position evaluation recently. I offer the following questions with respect: Under evaluation, why do we not explicitly consider weak squares and pieces too? They would offer targets of attack and defense for both sides, leading to potential plans and candidate moves. Are attack and defense the only options? What about improving the placement of our pieces? If there are no threats or ways to access weaknesses, the position improvement might be desired.
Good questions, thank you for asking them. First of all, this is a simplified version to use in practice. The complete version is explained in my second video about creating the plan. Secondly, one of the elements to consider is piece activity, so you should evaluate who has good pieces and who has weak ones. Thirdly, attack and defense are two basic plans. Of course, you can improve the position of your pieces, but it should prepare for something, such as a future attack.
in the first game...f6 is to miss the win. Ke2 enters with pitchforks. You can't capture because it's checkmate on the last line, but you win H. good content
