Had Joanne and Tony ( Speedy Caver ) come out and do some mine exploring in the Oatman area with us ... found a lot of Fluorite and Gold left behind so we brought some samples back. Would have been fun going to your wedding. " Do you promise to follow this idiot into the center of the earth with only a rope, a flashlight and a slim Jim " 😊😊 This shout out is for her: Bless your heart- 🥰🥰 Jeff, You go in these mines because you love the geology. It gets you all hot and bothered She goes in these mines because she loves you. Your excitement is what gets her all hot and bothered. * For your anniversary, You should take a bottle of wine, a fur rug, a candle - descend 400ft below ground and do the nasty on a quartz vein that has a Fluorite stringer. 😂😂
CRAAAAAAAAZZZZZZY! Of course there is an economic advantage portion to all of this fun: I they were to make 1 little, tiny mistake their families would not have to face any expenses for their funeral. Just place a plack at the entrance kinda like the song about BIG JOHN.
The clove hitch knot is the best holding easiest to untie knot you can use. That probably came in handy with all the stopes cut through the mine. What a maze of small passageways and stopes! Definitely not for novice mine explorers. Loved the old footage and the end. That's how all these shafts and stopes were made. Back breaking labor. Great video Jeff and Lila. Glad you had Tony along he's a great roper.
That old black and white video at the end is amazing as is all the rappelling and stuff you and your wife do. Congratulations on a well made mine tour. Show me the shiny.
Yeah, why doesn't Jeff go to Cerro Gordo? Brent doesn't know that much about Geology so could really benefit and Jeff could vocalize it all so well, as he does
That was one heck of a lot of work. So much debris too hanging above you as you go down too. Lila is definitely brave woman. You are so lucky to have her to share your adventures.
It’s always nice coming home after a long day to a new video! On top of the other mining channels like Dan Hurd, Jason from mbmmllc, etc. It would be awesome collaborating with Gly from Abandoned and forgotten places, he has tons of mine exploration videos and he’s always mentioned roping down some mines and out of other channels… you Jeff have the guts and courage to go into these mines, the most knowledgeable in geology, your sense of humor and I came to understand you’re a very social person! Thanks again for a thrilling video! 👍🏼
This was a fantastic explore, thank you so much for sharing. Loved seeing the fluorite and the magnificent hanging wall ant the timbering that took place. Keep up the great work.
Nice job to all of you! We've been to that one a couple times, but didn't make it as far down as you. That is one monster vein cutting through the whole countryside. I hope you were able to use the ladders for the most part to climb out.👍👍
thanks you two ...it drops to 400 and there is water down there ... cool to see the open stopes a long the mountain ridge... the upper stopes had no ladders so had to use our ascenders.
I have 2 wishes! 1) get my mine up and running! 2) To have a day hunting gold with Jeff!🙏 The end of the video with the black & white video showing the old miners was epic! I was a miner in a past life!💯
Loved it! My friend, Pappy Slingoff said he ran into you while he was out in that area some weeks ago, the lucky dog! He had nice pics too, but nobody has better pics and videos than you! Thoroughly enjoyable! Loved the video of the old time miners too!
Jeff, i explored a small mine in the bay horse district in idaho and it had a bunch of small crystals in horizontal planes. The rock it was in was very weak. The crystals were small. Clusters would break apart like sugar in the hand. Any idea what this could have been?
This video brings out the beauty that is in this area,, Sooo much more than just another place to ride a dirt bike,, I love the way that you combine art and geology,,, :-)
Wow ! Those are amazing workings. Huge ! And the strike goes on for thousands of feet. Amazing ! Now, this is part of that collapsed cauldera, right ? Appears to be good material left behind as well. Hey, thanks for taking us another fantastic tour, Brother ! Yeehaw !! 🤠⛏️⚒️👍👍👍
yes they are and 16 shafts drop into a vein that is over a mile long.... yes this is part of it .... we still find Gold in the mine dumps are ore bins ...you betcha my brother
