Thanks Nicki! To those unfamiliar with the David Letterman show, they might not catch my drift. But it’s a risk I had to take. I did it for Dave! and Paul, but to a lesser extent.
1. Find someone who actually likes being on the water. Bonus if they can sail. If they don't like being on the water at all, is there reason for a second date? Shoot. Maybe even invite them out when you know the wind will be ideal for an actual sail instead of a leisurely float. My favorite dates on the boat were: Gourmet meal double date plus games. This was done at the dock with a live aboard buddy and his girlfriend. Crabbing. Drop the pots, sail, come back. If you're lucky you have dinner when you get back. Sailing to an Inn/restaurant with a dock to tie up to. The overnight moorage for the place my friends and I go to includes access to the property as if you are renting a room. I love doing touristy things in my own back yard.
Hello Christina, it’s good to hear from you. I agree, a second date would be very questionable if they didn’t have a passion of some sort for sailing. One can tell from the very first step on a boat if their guest has experience. I’d rather them not look too surprised as the boat heels a bit. Finding good places to tie up and have a meal in my area is difficult. I’m always open to locals for suggestions. It’s a broil now in Texas. Hot and stormy. I’m looking forward to a cool front and some time on the hook. I’m starting to form up some ideas for my next video. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the show. I know I’m doing things a little different around here, it’s really nice to know there’s somebody out there who gets it. Thanks, hope to hear from you again.
This video starts out slow, but I feel like it gets better as it goes. I was hoping I could find some fans of Dave out there. Thank you so much for subscribing. I’m working hard on making unique content, more soon. Thanks.
Yes, LOL, there’s stories of guys being found at water temperature, unzipped. It takes some talent at times to stay onboard. Pirates would tell you it’s bad luck, but still, nothing beats having a woman aboard.
Hello, glad you enjoyed the video. Now, here is my honest opinion of the Merit 25. I would skip it. From what I gather, the construction of the balsa core is hit or miss. Some of these boats are disintegrating, some are rocksolid, it’s a gamble. Its bolt on fin keel is known for being wobbly. A boat with a 4 foot draft would not be fun to load or trailer. If you liked this type of boat, I would go for the J 24 instead. But if it was me, I would go with something with a solid fiberglass hull and a modified fin keel. I’m afraid if you bought this boat, it could turn into a major headache and you might have a hard time getting rid of it.
Love your “late-night” studio show and the top ten! Brilliant!
Thanks Nicki!

Very, very, very creative! Thanks for a fun blast from the past. Mostly, a good list. 😂
Thanks, I was a huge fan of Dave’s show.
I was hoping guys from that generation might dig it. Or mostly dig it.
I appreciate your comment.
That was GREAT! Even non-sailors can appreciate the great ideas and throw backs to a great show! Nice work!!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the show. It was a lot of fun paying homage to Dave and Paul. I appreciate you watching.

Thank you.
A big shout out to all the David Letterman fans. That’s my generation.
I stopped by to get familiar with the compac 23, and single sailing, but thought your video, cute and funny. Refreshing. Thank you!

Don’t let the first and last days of boat ownership be the best. Get the most out of your boat. I hope you enjoy the video. Thanks.
That's hilarious 😂😂😂. New subscriber, love your channel. 👍 ⛵️

Using the head over the stern. Classic! She’ll have to perform a MOB maneuver and perform mouth to mouth. Right out of “Sandlot “

No glass break noise when you threw the paper!
Yes! How was that missed?
Thanks for pointing out that blunder.
This will definitely be brought up at the next staff meeting.
I enjoy it! Can I get your opinion on a merit 25 ? I’ve never sailed a boat, but I can get a hold of that one for a really cheap with the trailer.

I'll be in Webster this coming week. Im a sunscriber and fellow small boat enthusiast...if you head out one night next week and need crew...
That might work depending on the day. Send me an email to gulfcoastnursery@aol.com.
Alright David letterman hahaha 😂
Dave’s reruns are still funny, such a great comic. Funnest video I’ve ever made.
Thanks.
